Saw someone else had a character from the same series, so I figured, why not?
Full Name: Experiment 625
Nicknames: Galley Officer Reuben, Sandwich Boy
Age: ?
Height: 3'
Weight: 1/3000 his lifting capability
Gender: Male
Race: Extraterrestrial genetic experiment
Alliance: Good
Home: The BRB-9000 (aka the Big Red Battleship) on duty; sometimes on Gantu's personal ship, the Galactic Federation Starcruiser 1838 (I didn't make this name up; Jumba said it in the Snafu episode)
Franchise: Lilo & Stitch
Physical Description: Reuben's a small, chubby creature with yellow fur and little floppy ears. His eyes are all black (but turn red with infrared vision, purple with ultraviolet vision, and green for night vision), his button nose is red, and he has two buck teeth on either side of his mouth. He has four stubby arms, two stubby legs, and a row of spines along his back. However, he can suck his lower arms and spines into his body, which he prefers to do most of the time.
Weapons: Is more than capable of fighting experimento de mano, but he can use whatever's around as a weapon... usually sandwiches (hey, those things can be deadly if your enemy slips on one at a high velocity)
Abilities/Powers: Experiment 625--or Reuben, as he's recently started being called--was designed to be a super-being of sorts. He has the strength to lift up to 3000 times his own weight and has the brain power of a supercomputer. His eyes can see in infrared, ultraviolet, x-ray, magnified, and night vision. He's fireproof, bulletproof, and shockproof. He's also very flexible and athletic (at least, when motivated enough). He can crawl on the walls and ceiling and fit through tight spaces. He also has incredible hearing and sense of smell, and can broadcast the sounds he hears though his mouth like an amplifier. He shares all these powers with "cousins," Stitch and Leroy.
Skills: He can pilot a space ship (and fix one), play the saxophone, and make great sandwiches.
Personality: Reuben can come off as a lazy and unmotivated smart alack most times, but he's got a heart of gold deep down his his genetically mutated fur. His primary love appears to be sandwiches, as culinary-wise, that's all he seems to know how to make. Reuben has shown himself to be rather clever and imaginative, though he mostly put those traits of his to pulling various pranks on Gantu their first few years of working together. Although usually cowardly, Reuben is also quite reliable in a pinch, especially if his friends and "family" are in danger.
History: Experiment 625 was created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba of Galaxy Defense Industries to be an ultimate destructive machine. He was equipped with the power and knowledge to cause mass wreckage and chaos... but when it came right down to it, he just didn't have the motivation to be the evil little wrecking ball his creator intended him to be. Deeming him a failure, Jumba went on to create Experiment 626.
Eventually, Jumba was caught by the Galactic Federation in his illegal experimentation, having been snitched on by his former financial partner, Dr. Hämsterviel. When his latest creation, 626, escaped Federation custody and made a blind jump to the backwater planet of Earth, Jumba gathered up all his previous experiments and took them to Earth with them in dehydrated form.
Eventually, 626 was reformed thanks to the efforts of a little Hawaiian girl named Lilo Pelekai, who named him Stitch. And the captain of the Galactic Armada, Gantu, was forcibly retired from duty due to his failure to capture the experiment. Still livid from his humiliation by Stitch, Gantu sought employment from Hämsterviel who ordered him to steal the dehydrated 625 previous experiments from Jumba.
He only found one pod--625's. So, he took Jumba to Hämsterviel for interrogation. Hämsterviel and Gantu activated 625 as part of the interrogation, unaware of his flaw until too late. Hämsterviel was able to set up a ransom with the Pelekai family for the experiments, but a scuffle between the bad guys and Lilo & Stitch for them soon after resulted in all the pods being scattered all over Hawaii. One of the already activated experiments--an electric one numbed 221 and named Sparky--shorted out Gantu's ship and sent its captain and 625 plummeting down to a small woodsy area of the island where they remained stuck.
To make up for his failure that resulted in the scattering of the experiments, Gantu spent the next three years trying to capture the experiments as they were activated, but Lilo & Stitch continuously foiled him by capturing them first and turning them good. 625 proved little help most of the time but had been useful occasionally.
Eventually, once all the experiments had been captured, named, and turned good--all except 625--Gantu abandoned him on his downed ship to break Hämsterviel out of space prison. Bitter over having been left behind, 625 was in the process of filling the entire ship with sandwiches in his attempt to turn "this dump into the best ship-shaped sandwich shop on the island," when Lilo showed up. At the time, as a reward for catching all the experiments, Stitch had been commissioned as captain of the galactic armada, and Lilo needed the intergalactic videophone on their ship to contact him.
Lilo was able to earn 625's friendship by finally naming him--Reuben, and he fixed the videophone so she could call her friend. Unfortunately, Hämsterviel paid a visit to Jumba upon escaping prison, and he forced him to create an evil version of Stitch whom he named Leroy. After cloning Leroy many times over, Hämsterviel sent Jumba, Stitch, and Galactic Alliance Community College Professor Pleakley--who just happened to walk into Jumba's lab at the wrong time--in a spaceship aimed for a black hole and replaced Stitch with Leroy on the BRB-9000 flagship. However, Lilo saw through Leroy's disguise and and tried to talk Reuben into helping her repair Gantu's ship and fly it to the Galactic Alliance capital to rescue Stitch.
Reuben was hesitant at first, but Lilo's faith in him and her dedication to Stitch moved him enough to get him off his rear and motivate him to tap into the full potential of his powers for the first time in his life. They arrived at capital planet Turo just in time to see Hämsterviel leaving for Earth, where Leroy had captured all 624 of the other experiments for mass execution. On his way, he unsympathetically fired Gantu from his post, and Reuben used this to sway the former captain onto their side. The three soon met up with Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley (how they escaped the black hole is another story), and all made the jump back to Earth to rescue the other experiments.
While they easily managed to stop Hämsterviel from obliterating the experiments with the BRB's large cannon, they and the experiments soon found themselves in a large battle with Leroy and his many clones, whom Hämsterviel had taken with him to Earth to meet with the original. All the experiments fought valiantly, even Reuben, but the vast number of Leroy clones proved too much. At least, until Jumba revealed he'd played "Aloha Oe" on an Elvis record during the most crucial part of Leroy's creation, turning the song into a shut-off switch for him and all of his clones. Lilo, Stitch, and Reuben were able to save the day by putting on a concert with this very song.
When it was all over, Stitch gave up his commission as captain to be with Lilo again, so Gantu--as a reward for his part--was given his old post back. In order to make sure Reuben was rewarded for his own part, Gantu formally requested that Reuben be made his galley officer. Reuben has been an official part of the Galactic Armada since, but he will visit Earth again from time to time.
Other: Lilo has nicknamed Reuben Sandwich Boy some time before giving him his official name. His official name is derived from the classic corn beef and sauerkraut on rye. A few names Lilo had suggested before Reuben were Patty (for a patty melt), Monty (for a Monty Kristo), and Pita Pita Sandwich Eata. All these names were shot down by Reuben before his official name was finally suggested. Another thing to note is that Reuben was ultimately responsible for 627's downfall, having noticed his overpowered sense of humor and passed the find on to Lilo.
