Full Name: Dee Dee
Nicknames: N/A (although various insulting euphisms are used by Dexter and attempts at pet names are used by Mandark)
Age: 16
Height: ? (Rather Tall)
Weight: ? (Skinny)
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alliance: Good
Home: Earth
Franchise: Dexter's Laboratory
Physical Description
Dee Dee is almost freakishly tall, and will probably always be tall for her gender, but it seems a matter of hitting and finishing her major growth spurt early. She is on the tall end of tall for both age and gender, but she's no where near a record breaker. It is a little intimidating to many guys, however, that she stands anywhere from an inch to five taller than them. She looks incredibly lean, but actually has more muscle than is apparent. She very much hits "like a girl", but she has the build a dancer would need. So the extremely lean appearance is like that of a gymnast, and hides a lot of muscle.
She's quite American, although considering her little brother's accent its likely she has some heavy Eastern European in her genetic background. She's got a fairly solid tan as she spends a lot of time outdoors, and it contrasts rather sharply with her brother's pale skin. She's actually got fairly pretty eyes, espeically considering the gorgeous shade of sky blue they hold.
Dee Dee has fairly long golden blond hair, and when its down it reaches just past her waist. She rarely keeps it down in her day to day activities, only really lowering it to comb or sleep. She likes to keep it up in two pigtails that have a large rather wide area and taper down to points. They stick out fairly sideways for her lack of hair gel usage, but its likely due to her tying them a little lower than is average. Because of the way they stick out and bend, the tips fall just past her shoulders. If they hung limp, they'd reach most of the way down her upper arm. She uses various cute accesories to keep them tied, her preferred choice being a ponytail holder with two pink orbs that position roughly in front of the pigtail's bases.
She loves anything pink and/or cute, but she does have a favorite outfit, and its what she is wearing when she arrives on the island. Its basically a pink summer dress. She has a black belt tied aroudn the waste, the tie being to the left front and tied in a manner that makes it appear to be a small, cute, bow. The dress flairs out just a tad from that point down, and the bottom edge falls about 1/3 down her upper leg. She does have a pair of body hugging black short shorts underneath it, which allows her to jump and cartwheel and such without causing an embarassing moment. The sleeves of the dress are rippled, and have an extra layer of frill stitched just on the inside. That frill is black and creates a fairly cute effect from most angles.
She wears white pantyhose, which are actually the base of the outfit. They go under the skin-tight black short shorts. She has on slightly modified ballet shoes, in that they have a tougher sole than usual, but just looking at them one would say they are indeed ballet shoes. The ribbon ties wrap up her leg just like the shoes of cliche ballerinas, and are tied in the back in very small, almost invisible bows.
She wears a black satin ribbon choker, which she ties in a cute bow in the front, letting the tails of the bow fall down a bit beyond that. To give an example of how tight it is, its a touch looser than the chokers seen worn by the Sailor Soldiers of Sailor Moon.
Weapons
Dee Dee wouldn't know how to use any weapon given to her. At all. She'd probably press the button that read "do not press", although if a weapon is shiny or sparkly she'll probably manage to get ahold of it anyhow.
That's the thing. She doesn't have any on hand, but she's rather skilled at getting ahold of shinies and sparklies, which is rather known for causing... issues, in relation to her brother.
Abilities/Powers
Dee Dee's abilities all fall under skills. She doesn't have any paranormal abilities or anything of the sort. Although its entirely likely her brother would argue that her ability to get on his nerves shoots straight past skills and into this category. And her brother's rival would argue she has the ability to bewitch people.
But opinions as such aside, she doesn't have any.
Skills
Dee Dee's actually quite the skilled dancer, especially in things like ballet. However, she tends to get so into it that she forgets her surroundings and causes massive damage. This leads directly into her other main "skill". Wanton destruction. Its not anything she generally tries to do, but her prancing, spinning, and flailing arms are pretty much a hazard to anything around her. Especially if said area is filled with fragile instruments.
Her dancing creates an interesting side effect of being a pretty amazing person to have in a fight, as long as you know to steer clear of her on the battlefield. And she can't really fight on purpose. If she gets into a dance, she's amazing at decimating anyone/thing that gets in her way. But she'd hide and howl if she were told to actually fight. As such, its probably a good thing she has one of her other skills.
Namely, relaxing. It might seem odd that floating through life without much in the way of cares or worry is a skill, but Dee Dee has pretty much made an art of it. However, this creates a rather problematic weakness in that she doesn't do well in taking things seriously.
Her other two skills are rather closely linked. Getting her way and getting on peoples' nerves. One leads to the other in that she'll often get on peoples' nerves just to get her way. With most people it isn't really intentional, she just knows what she wants and will beg until she gets it. She doesn't generally see this as manipulative and will often mistake the "OMFGFINE" as kindness. There are two people she tends to annoy and/or manipulate however. Her little brother, Dexter - she tends to use the annoy factor on him - and his archrival, Mandark - she is not above using the manipulate factor on him.
Personality
Dee Dee is truly a girl of many layers. The first layer is the type that the onion comparison would fly over the head of, probably complaining about how smelly onions are. The apparent mind of a five year old, an intellect that would make a newborn baby look like the smartest being in the multiverse. Silly, dense, and concerned with nothing but her own needs and causing havoc. This is the side that would stop in front of a speeding truck to pick up the shiny quarter or think pressing buttons in random (and usually dangerous) combinations is the greatest thrill in the world. Despite having just turned sixteen, she acts all of five with her stuffed animals, imaginary friends, and a New York sized sweet tooth.
That first layer is a lot thinner than many people realize. Her little brother claims it is all he sees, but if a situation called for it he would admit to her other layers. Just below that posterchild for blonde jokes personality exists a far more complex girl. For one, she very much loves her little brother. Her constant harassment of him is a testament to this. She'd be crushed without him and works to protect him, much to the thrill of Dexter. Because every brother wants their girly older sister looking out for them.
Dee Dee is also a hell of a lot smarter than most people, even the brother that knows she is more than her surface layer, give her credit for. No, she can't read the dictionary and enjoy it or quote the periodic table of elements by heart. She isn't very book smart, and she'll only really understand the simplest of speeches. But she is incredibly street smart and is capable of getting out of some of the least escapable jams known to man. Its her incredibly off the wall, out of the box ways of thinking that gives her this skill. It makes her an amazingly effective parallel to Dexter. Or at least would if a situation occured that allowed it. It's even possible that she sometimes sabotages Dexter's experiments to save him from himself, although this would be more of her acting on her subconscious need to protect him than a real conscious action.
The other dominant trait is how much she feels her emotions. A normal happy for her is "ZOMGTHISISTHEBESTDAYEVERYAYINEEDTOCARTWHEELANDDANCELIKEABUFFONNOW" - She doesn't seem to possess "levels" of emotions. If she's sad, she's in the darkest pits of depression, and has been known to appear to have a snapped mind because of it. If she's angry, she's "RAWR", etc. There is, however, one level of rage mode no one has had the misfortune of seeing.
You see, she takes her brother's safety very seriously. Her high street smart intelligence really seems to allow her to know how dire a situation truly is. If Dexter's life were truly in danger, and I mean truly in danger, Dee Dee would find no method of attack to be enough, no level of rage to be high enough. It shows that she considers Mandark to be no threat. Dexter thinks he has seen her rage, but he hasn't. Not truly. The best term to describe this never before seen occurance is "berserker rage". The world can only hope she never has to go there.
On a side note, she can be a bit manipulative when she needs to be. She always has Dexter's best interests in heart, although she often shows it in rather odd ways. Like any good sibling would.
History
Dee Dee was the first born child to a fairly kitschy American family. Its more than a little possible she got her base personality from her parents, who could probably win an award for the world's blindest parents. Its a wonder Dee Dee didn't impale herself on a shiny knife in her first two years of life. When her brother, Dexter, was born, she probably had the worldest biggest squee fit. He was just that cute, and her relationship with him continued from that reaction. He probably decided he "hated" the girl within minutes of meeting her, somewhere in his newborn consciousness.
She took it upon herself to protect him, which at first manifested as hanging around the poor boy every. second. of. the. day. He had a penchant for building things and such, and she would constantly hang over his shoulder and practically melt his brain cells with question after question after question after question. And if that wasn't bad enough, she'd try and figure out how the things he built work when she couldn't get an answer she could understand and proceed to break it. One would almost feel sorry for the poor boy if he hadn't acted the jerk over it.
After a while, he'd had enough and decided to built a "secret" lab. Well, secret to his parents, which any idiot could have accomplished, let alone a boy genius. Dee Dee knew all about it and proceeded to get in minutes after it was completed, continuing to cause havoc for the boy. His slightly obsessive tendencies are probably the only thing that allowed him to continue his work. Who knows where he'd have gotten to by now without his sister.
Well, the boy managed to space Dee Dee's sixteenth birthday, probably from numb brain cells over her squeeing and chatting about it for the past month and a half. It was after an early morning "Great day for science" that he used a machine to get to Dimension Island, a multiversal lynchpin he'd been studying for some time.
Dee Dee burst into his room five minutes after he'd left, for once in her life not interuppting his actions. She wasn't concerned that he wasn't there. It was summer break, after all. She knew exactly where he was at and proceeded to break through his newest security system to get into his laboratory. She was surprised when she couldn't find him there, and demanded that his computer tell him where he was at. There was quite the fight and the poor system finally gave in enough to tell her he had gone out. She plopped down in one of his chairs, pouting, and holding one of her many stuffed animals.
Dexter would probably have a fit over his computer's next action. It offered to send Dee Dee after Dexter, and tried to give her some rather wordy advice about time fluctuations causing time to have passed where he had headed to. Her eyes had all but glazed over when the computer mentioned "Dimension Island", causing the girl to snap alert and go into a characteristic "Oooooooooh" before insisting that the computer send her there RIGHT THIS INSTANT. What she didn't say was that it would be terrible to spend her sweet sixteen without her brother, which was actually the driving motivation behind her actions.
The computer did so, but it was right about time fluctuations. Dee Dee would arrive on the island quite some time after Dexter, and in a horrible twist of the "third times the charm" cliche... the third "Dee Dee" the boy genius would meet would actually be Dee Dee.
Other
Using her Fusion Fall design to match up with the other canon Dexter's Laboratory characters in the RP. Also blending her original personality with her Fusion Fall one, and throwing in a bit of implied but never stated character depth. The theory about her purposely sabotaging his experiements is something I've often seen proposed in fanon involving geniuses too smart for their own good. The trope seems to fit, so I worked it in.
However, I think I should note that I'm not going with her outright hatred of Mandark as I hear is stated in Fusion Fall. She's still pretty much undecided, although leaning a bit away. Thing is, with her personality, an offering of candy might put her back into fence sitting...
I have the exact date in her world when she arrived on Dimension Island. June 30th. I totally gave her the same birthday as Usagi and Chibiusa of Sailor Moon, seeing as how the three of them are Cancers and if you use Usagi's anime personality, they are actually pretty similar...
