Full Name: Tex Russel
Nicknames: El Cabrón de Tejas
Age: 36
Height: 6'1''
Weight: 164 lbs.
Gender: M
Race: Human
Alliance: Neutral
Home: Mobile (Born and Raised in Texas)
Franchise: Super Eds (OC)
Physical Description: Tex is always dressed in his long, dusty jacket and cowboy hat. His jacket's tail drags behind him, trailing the ground behind his leather boots. He is a dirty-blonde with a full-beard, often smiling. When outside, Tex wears mirrored sunglasses out of habit more than anything.
Weapons: Tex always carries a handgun hidden somewhere on his body-- however, his myysterious contractor provides him with a number of unique and high-powered weapons through contacts and dead-drops. These range from a simple taser to something as outlandish as a gun that shoots lightsabers.
A gun. That shoots fucking lightsabers. Think about that.
Abilities/Powers: Tex himself posseses no unique powers (Something he has come to regret in his line of work), though his ruthlessnes and killer instinct more than make up for this.
Skills: "Say what you will about Tex; bastard makes a mean burger."
Personality: There's a reason they call him 'Texas' Bastard'. Tex can act racist, vulgar, and sexist when interacting with people-- part of the reason the sisters kicked him out. Well, that and the convent blew up. But still. After speaking with Tex with five minutes, people usually wind up hating him-- ten minutes, and they start holding back the urge to stab him repeatedly.
Despite all of this, Tex can act downright affable to his targets-- offering them a shot of whiskey, or making polite banter, and only starting off with a sneak attack if he thinks it nescecary. The truth is, Tex's gruff (And, quite frankly, stab-worthy) exterior belies a much more noble side that's afraid of letting people get clost to it.
Of course, both of these sides love money-- they don't give a fuck what they have to do to make it.
History: Tex's earliest memory of his father was a whiskey bottle being thrown at his mother and a cop car arriving late at night. Unable to raise him herself, Tex's mother left Tex to the nuns at St. Anna's convent. Normally, this would have turned Tex into a respectable young man and an upstanding member of society.
Nope.
All because Tex's father broke out of prison and made the mistake of visiting his son. The two formed a strange bond-- Tex would relate his tales of being picked on for his speech impediment (A stutter), and his father would drink himself blind. Tex's father suggested that Tex 'cowboy-up' and show the bullies what a man he was.
Tex got into a fight with the kids who picked on him-- he shot the girls who laughed at him with a slingshot-- and he stole a nun's habit (No real reason, really; he just felt like stealing the habit). All of this led to Tex being kicked out of St. Anna's at the age of 15.
Oh, that and the convent was blown up in the crossfire of a gangwar.
Tex was distraught-- sure, he had hated everyone in that convent, but he wasn't a monster! He started to become his father-- drinking, crude, reacting violently to the slightest faults-- until, a month after sneaking over the Mexican border, Tex met a man.
El Malito was a mercenary going after the two gangs who had destroyed St. Anna's. He saw something in Tex and recruited him as his apprentice, taking him as he destroyed the gangs systematically and yet with dignity.
Tex never saw the truth-- El Malito was a Super Child with a million monsters living beneath his skin. Had Tex known, it would have given him prior experience...
When Tex turned 29, El Malito was killed by some of the people who had hired him. Tex grieved for a while, but quickly moved on; he had recently been contacted by a mysterious man to hunt down a boy in India.
When Tex arrived at the address, he found his normal methods of non-lethal combat weren't working-- this boy was able to turn from solid to liquid to gas with a thought. Eventually, Tex beat him by shoving a taser into his liquid state-- the shock apparently killed him, much to the employer's disappointment.
Nevertheless, the Employer kept Tex on the payroll-- Tex would be paid to hunt down these 'super-children', people destined to develope unique abilities. Upon defeating them, Tex would inject them with a tranquilizer and deliver them to a drop-off zone where a team of scientists would pick them up. Tex stopped asking questions after that-- so long as he got paid, he was happy with anything.
Tex has been doing this for a few years, and he's got the scars to prove it. Still, he's gotten a lot better, no matter how much his employer has kept him out of the loop. After all, it isn't a merc's job to ask questions. Just pull the trigger and collect the check.
Other: (Anything else you want to add about them, it’s optional)
