Physical Description
The teenager formerly known as Keiji Kurosawa has perhaps had the most drastic of the changes among his siblings since they met, returned to their home dimension, and Abel ascended the Throne of Bel. The tendency towards light colors, the hair style, the life in his eyes, and even his very stance have shifted in as drastic as his change from a Lawful Good alliance to a Chaotic Neutral one.
His short dark blue hair that was once neatly parted in the center of his forehead now seems a bit unkempt. It has a slight feel of being stringy to it and while the part is basically the same, the split pieces are more like clumps. Rather than hanging to his cheekbones, they now fall just short of parallel with his chin. The hair has grown a bit to allow it to fall just to the base of his neck at the longest clump, making it to be at the long end of short rather than the short it was before.
His once silver headphones with a standard white head piece are different as well. The headphones are now a dull and flat grey. The standard white head piece is black and bent in an odd fashion. Now they more closely resemble the headphones Abel originally wore and wears even now. They create a slight illusion of "demon horns" with the way they raise from the back of his head, but are a bit less bent and about half as tall as the pair worn by Abel. The retractable cord that was a pastel green with his original set is now black, and usually kept drawin into the phones. The parallel between his headphones and his twin's are intentional, they are meant to represent a crown that Abel would be comfortable with.
Seth's once normal, if a bit critical blue eyes have lost much of their life. While he could smile and laugh before, it seems an impossibility with how they currently are. He is known for three expressions. The first is a remorseful distant look. It holds some but not focus, and seem depressed. The second is flat and unreadable, somehow creating a sort of uncanny valley effect. When he looks at someone it is as if he is not seeing them, and at worst it creates the illusion that he is staring into the soul. His grasp on his own humanity can be determined by how focused his eyes now are.
The final expression is so eerily like Abel in his demonic rage modes that it is unsettling. They keep the unfocused look, but the eyebrows slant in a look of anger. The only thing that keeps them seperate from his twin in these cases are that his pupils do not slit. The lack of focus is a solid character trait, and he only seems to give focus to those he most trusts: Abel, Cain, Atsuro, and occasionally Kaido.
Seth has a wider wardrobe selection now that his twin has ascended the Throne of Bel. Where before he would only be seen in heavy but not sweater shirts and pants, he is now as like to be seen in suits. He looks rather good in a suit. The type of shoes he wears has changed almost exclusively to polished black boots, but they are of a practical variety as opposed to a dress. His color preference has changed from white and pastels to a more melancholy selection. He favors grey with black accents.
When he comes to the Island once again, he is dressed in a more casual manner. Aside from the color choices, the outfit is similar to what he wore before and similar to what his twin still wears. His shirt is a light grey heavy but not sweater shirt. The sleeves come halfway down his lower arm and have a rather high split on the outer sides. The split goes up a full inch, but is designed to be thin enough to not effect how the sleeves fit. A rather similar split is at either side of his shirt, but the position allows it to come up about half an inch more than his sleeves. It is wider there, made obvious by a good wind because the two split pieces move independently.
His pants are black. They fit a bit looser than the moderately tight ones he wore before. The fabric is tougher than cotton, but it is not denim by any means. The fabric is like one might find on traditional cargo pants. His boots are on the tall side of things and come up under the pants, so the mid-length dagger he keeps tucked into the outside of the right boot is not visible.
Atop his shoulders is a design element that Cain has made a trademark of the royal family of Bel. He has a long grey cloak that was gifted to him by his oldest brother. It is of a similar style to Abel's, but the collar is understated to the point of almost not being there. It is as long as Abel's, but it is given a bit less width so it is not as impressive in the wind. The cloak is held on with a bronze chain attached via a clasp at the left. It is meant to parallel the King's cloak the same way his headphones/crown were meant to parallel the King's own. It is a sign of position while being clear of a lower status.
His outfit is perhaps a minor change to a change that would be clear if he were to stand nude. The decision to join Abel in the war against God was not an arbitrary one. He was tortured for just over three days before being literally crucified and left to die via that ancient method of execution. His entire body is riddled with the scars of that torture. The wounds inflicted were clearly of various methods, as he has signs of burns, flogs, cuts (many jagged), gouges, and many other types. Seth couldn't tell you the origins of them all if his life depended upon it, the pain of infliction has blurred most of his memories of the events.
Even with how horrible those scars are, he has three areas of special note. The first is his back, the place of the greatest concentration. His back looks hardly human for the uneven slashes, dips, raised areas, and other permanent reminders of his suffering. His entire back is covered, it seems clear it was a place of focus. On each of his hands and each of his feet are Christian cross shaped scars from where the nails were driven into him during the crucifixion. If Seth were to hold his hands up, backs facing forward, the crosses would appear inverted. If his feet were to hang down, the crosses appear upright. It is unknown if the dark parallel to stigmata was intended by the one who inflicted the wounds, but the comparison is easily made.
The scars cover his body in such a fashion that even in a suit some would be visible. His face was for some reason spared in the torture, but even in a high color shirt, the tips of the scarring can be seen reaching to the soft underside of his chin. In a long sleeved shirt, the scars upon his hands can be seen and tips of those on his lower arm would peek out. In the shirt he is wearing upon coming to the Island once more, most of his lower arm is shown. It's sickening to most to think of what Seth must have endured to bear those "badges".
Like all living things, Seth has an aura. The reason his aura is noted here is for those that can sense him. He has lived in the Demon Realm of his world for the past three or so months. He has lived in the Palace of Bel, home of the King of Demons. His twin is the King and his oldest brother is the ruthless general and reincarnation of Cain. One would expect a dark aura from this, but it isn't. It isn't as much as it should be. While still darker than most humans bear, there is a surprising amount of light. It seems to interact with Abel's own demonic aura, as well, for when Abel is near Seth and the Prince isn't in danger, the King's aura tends to thin by a few small points. It is clear to those that can read auras how important Seth is to Abel's remaining humanity.
Weapons
Seth owns one of the few remaining Communication Players (COMPs) of his homeworld. His is a dull grey, and like all COMPs resembles a standard Nintendo DS. In their original functionality, they were something like the Playstation Portables of a more familiar world. That ability is not why Seth needs to keep it near, nor why it is a weapon. His COMP is one of only five in current existance that allows him to summon demons and fight on equal footing with demons and angels, the latter of which is granted by the most important function, the Harmonizer.
The demonic abilities, referred to as modded as they are formed from a program Seth's oldest brother was the main force behind, consist of demon storage, demon summoning, demon fusion, the Harmonizer, spellcasting, and the devil auction. The lattermost is a function of little use since Abel ascended the Throne. All demons under Abel's power have standing orders to obey Seth unless Cain or he supercedes them. And in terms of battles and war, Cain always supercedes Seth unless a specific command is given to the otherwise from Abel.
Seth, like most of the human court of Bel, does have a weapon in the traditional sense. The bronzehilted dagger that is concealed within his right boot is of a long length. It is a bit shorter than Cain's, and Seth carries it only on Cain's suggestion. He started carrying it because Cain suggested it to Abel and the King ordered it so, but he now wears it for both protection and out of familial respect to Cain.
Abilities/Powers
Seth's powers are not innate, as at the end of the day he is merely a human ally to the demonic throne. His powers are all at the hands of his COMP, and the same is true for the other members of Abel's court.
The Prince of Bel is able to store a large amount of demons, including those he is not contracted to providing they give their agreement. It can not force demons to be stored if they are unwilling unless they are under contract. He can summon demons from it just as easily. Seth is able to use demonic abilities that have been misnamed as spells for so long that even the Demon Realm has conceded the term.
The Harmonizer is the most important function. Even barehanded, Seth is able to fight on equal footing with both angels and demons from his home dimension. In regards to those of other dimensions, it gives him an edge but is not quite as effective.
Skills
Seth's most important skill might be better classed as a power. He is, in an almost literal sense, the physical manifesation of Abel's remaining humanity, that of the teenager known as Keiichi Kimura. A bloody and devestating incident roughly two months after Abel took the Throne was all the Prince ever needed to realize how true this skill was. He is aware of this skill and will not leave Abel's side for anything because of it. He would take slaughtering a city if he had to in order to stay near Abel, his reasoning being that more than a city would die if he did not.
He is rather skilled in finding a quick solution to fights that involve violence. Considering his position and current life, this means most if not all of them. He prefers not to take prisoners, knowing full well the hobbies of his oldest brother and the Enforcer of Bel. This creates a merciful ruthlessness despite the oxymoron.
Seth is able to use a single dagger with better skill than your average person. If one were to rank his skill, it would be in the higher ranges of mid-skilled. He learned how to use the dagger at Cain's suggestion. He fares better with mid to long daggers than he does with short ones, however.
He is moderately versed in torture. After the events of about a month and a half ago in his world's time, he took Cain's offer to be taught. He found he didn't quite have the stomach for it, but is not completely beyond helping Cain as he does it. One of his weaknesses is the tendency to hold back or believe someone when they say they can not take anymore. It is perhaps a blessing if Seth gets assigned to torture, as he will kill the victim if he thinks they have had enough. It is far more mercy than Cain or Kaido would show, in any case.
Seth is multilingual. In his life as Keiji Kurosawa, he was raised to speak both English and Japanese. Japanese is a close second language, but it has improved in the three or so months he has lived with the human members of Abel's court, as they are all Japanese. The memories he was forced to regain of his first life allow him to speak fluent Ancient Hebrew. He can speak in the demonic tongue, but some of the specifics of the language simply do not allow reproduction. He is known for slurring words or not placing the right emphasis because he is simply not able to as a human.
His skills from his time as Keiji Kurosawa remain as well, although they are rusty. He is good with a skateboard, for instance. His skills in cooking have not improved in the slightest, he is still as like as not to burn a house down even if he is simply boiling water.
Personality
Once upon a memory, Seth knew himself as Keiji Kurosawa. An American in nationality, a full Japanese in ethnicity. He was pretty black and white, but life was decent enough and he did just fine. He had blind faith in this black and white life. There was right. There was wrong. A murder could never be just a little right, and forgiveness was best left to the Lord. When he was drawn to Dimension Island by the powers of that Lord, that God, he learned he had a twin. A twin who had turned his back on God and was now heading down the path to damnation. His first crack in his personality appeared then.
That personality broke at the hands of a demon. He was tortured for around three days by the demon named Belphegor, and then left to die via crucifixion. His personality collapsed around him and he damned himself by following Abel with full knowledge of what he was doing. So while he was once black and white and righteous, his personality is nothing of that sort anymore.
Seth doesn't have true ideas of morality. Murder is fine, grace is wrong. Murder is wrong, grace if fine. It all depends on how it relates to Keiichi. Preventing the personality of Keiichi from being lost to the demon Abel is right at any cost. Sticking by Abel and the chioce he made is right at any cost. Those that wish to harm Abel are wrong for any reason. Those that call Abel a fool for discarding his humanity are wrong for any reason. His hatred for the presence that calls itself God is perhaps the most right thing in the multiverse.
Seth has unwavering loyalty to his King. He often disagrees with his actions, but the aspects of his personality are all tied to the King of Bel. He is a loyal friend, but he has an extremely dark side. He would not let Abel be killed, or worse, let Keiichi be lost. He is not incapable of making a yandare love interest look downright fluffy, and his rage modes are comparable to his King's.
At his core, Seth is a depressive and lonely individual. He is distant at most times and keeps almost everyone other than the his twin's court at arm's length. He is a pessimist, but he is firm behind the choices he has made. He is not murderous in most cases. He is fairly quiet, and has a good heart, but his personality and actions are so tied to how things are going with Abel he comes across as unstable and hard to read. He means well, but he has long since walked the road to hell paved in those good intentions.
History
Seth's history begins thousands of years ago, when he was born as the third child and third son of Adam and Eve. Just over nine months had passed since Abel had been slain at the hands of Cain when Eve gave birth to Abel. Her grief allowed the timing to cause her to see Seth as Abel's replacement. Seth held anger towards Cain, but the guiding hand of his parents and God convinced him to not chase down and kill his eldest brother. He was joined in that life by dozens of siblings, and he died without ever meeting Cain.
His essence was reborn throughout history many times and in many places much the same way as Abel's. It was scattered and sporadic, and also like Abel he never retained his memories. The difference from Abel's many incarnations is that his had a theme. He would always be incarnated near Abel. Loose divine intervention allowed Seth to steer Abel away from Cain many times. Cain never once even suspected that there was something responsible for guiding Abel away from him, and Seth's incarnations were never the wiser either.
Cain had already been born and was seven years of age when one of Abel's incarnations was conceived in modern Japan. Cain was the son of the brother to who would be Abel's father. Because of the high danger of Cain finally getting to Abel, Seth was incarnated in the same instance, as Abel's twin. The birth order of the three brothers was maintained by minutes at most, maintaining Seth as the youngest. The free will of man, however, meant that when their mother went into labor in divorce court, the twins were seperated with a full ocean between them, and Cain would be able to get close to Abel with no interference.
Keiji grew up thinking himself an only child. It never occurred to him to question the "ni" kanji in the proper way of writing his name. His mother informed him that it was not unheard of for even single children to bear such a name. Keiji's blind attachment to his mother left him to accept that. Despite similarities in the way the twins grew, neither of them ever found any reason to suspect the existance of the other.
When the Yamanote Circle of Tokyo was locked down, it made the international news. It was all anyone was talking about by the seventh day. Keiji was worried about his mother, who had been spiralling into some kind of depression by this point. In the evening of the seventh day of the Lockdown in Tokyo, Keiji thought he saw his mother entering their church, but when he tried to follow he was transported via divine means to a place he would come to know as Dimension Island. He was informed about the true nature of the Lockdown and impeached to become the Messiah by an angel.
Keiji would meet his long seperated twin, the teen named Keiichi Kimura. His efforts at turning Keiichi back to God were met with cold and dark hostility. Keiji in his blindness refused to accept that Keiichi could not be saved. When Keiichi and Naoya fell victim to the monsters of another world known as Shadows, Keiji was kidnapped in his attempts to protect them. In way, he did, for the demon stopped the attack after becoming interested in Keiji.
The demon was named Belphegor, and Keiichi and Naoya had come to the Island to kill him. WHen Belphegor had sensed something about Keiji's soul that he could not pin down, he brought him to the castle he had made his own. Keiji was tortured for around three days, to the brink of death and back again. The trauma to his psyche was so great that Belphegor managed to accomplish his purpose. Keiji remembered his first life, that he bore the soul of Seth. Those trauma induced memories threatened to overtake those of his current life. Belphegor chose to "let" Seth die. He prepared an execution to any one wishing to be the Messiah, and Keiji was literally crucified.
When Keiichi/Abel and Naoya/Cain came to rescue him, he was unaware during much of the fight. Belphegor was killed when Keiichi for the first time truly showed the raising darkness thanks to the growing power of Bel within him. Keiji requested that he be allowed to aid Abel and Cain in their task, and the request was granted. He no longer wanted anything to do with the God he had felt abandoned him. He would spend the next few days recovering, and then the group would return back to their own dimension.
Keiji was introduced to Keiichi's friends and allies. He helped Keiichi accomplish the task, and he finally succumbed to the names he thought of his brothers as during the fight for Abel to win the Throne. He shed the last of the tears he had buried deep inside of him when he was able to meet his birth father with Abel only to have to never see them again. Abel made a last request to the main Keiichi had known as his father to let Keiji's mother know he would never be returning home. After the heartwrenching scene the bloody exit from the city was made.
The day after, their group was cut down by one member and Abel brought them to the Demon Realm. The few weeks would be spent setting Abel's foothold in the Realm as the new King of Demons. The first full moon after Abel had ascended the Throne was terrifying, and it was through Cain that the group realized that Abel the demon would all but supress the personality of Keiichi in this time. It was understood what happened during the next full moon, but what happened could never be predicted.
Seth and Atsuro were drawn away for so-called diplomatic negotiations. The ruler of an area of the Demon Realm was in reality setting up a trap of a game. Abel nearly lost it as a result of some of the "plays", and Seth rushed back to the palace. He realized then he could never leave Abel for any reason. He swore to Abel he would never leave his side again, and the Prince meant it.
Another full moon came and went, and the new moon after that had Abel with the strongest presence of the Keiichi personality his was still capable of showing. He wanted to return to Dimension Island, a fact Cain had long ago confirmed could happen. This time Kaido and Asturo would be coming with them. Cain set the coordinates, and they would soon find out that three and a half months in one world was merely days in another.
Other
Seth does not call Abel as Abel. Ever While it is odd and technically incorrect to attach the "-ousama" honorific to a name as Western as Abel, Seth just can't get how strange "King Abel" sounds out of his head. He will often refer to Abel in his more Keiichi capacities as Abel, but if Keiichi is especially strong he'll still call him K1. He never calls his twin in his capacity as demon and King as anything but "Abel-ousama". Cain he attaches no honorific too, although in the presence of the court he'll call him General or General Cain. He uses honorifics for none of the court of Bel.
He is still able to respond to the name of Keiji or K2, but the names are almost foreign to him these days. It may take a few tries to get his attention with those name, or he may take a few moments to realize you mean him. If at any point you use the name Seth, however, he'll respond right away.
Seth only has one image of him in his post-Bel self. FF has the link to it if you need it. He looks rather similar to Abel in his more human moments, they are after all twins. The similarities aren't enough to even provide a visual difference. Seth holds himself all wrong, had scars that can't be hidden, and the auras are so vastly different it's not even funny.
