Physical Description
Robo is a tall and fairly bulky humanoid robot. While being humanoid, it is unlikely the robot would be mistaken for human even by his shadow. His outer appearance consists of lots of gold colored meetal plating with various steel parrts exposed. He also has a lot of polished black metal and sturdy black "sheathing" over areas of his body with joints.
Robo's arms are long, giving him a rather odd appearance when he runs. His right arm is constructed similar to a human had and has full functionality in that regard. His left arm has a gun-like system built into it that can be used if he draws his hand inward. He has areas of quality leather sticking off his "waist" area, and in that regard it seems almost like a belt with pieces hanging off.
His entire construct has a bit of a "steam punk" feel to it. This is further accented by the fact that Robo actually expels steam if he gets overheated. On his back is a steel tank-like device with a train whistle like top sticking out from the top. It is known to whistle when he needs to expel a bit of steam. His chest plating is split into two parts and can open up, and there is actually a small bit of storage space within.
His head pieced moves up and down when he talks or "laughs". Sticking out from his head piece are two green "lights" that function as his eyes. They are actually lit up and do turn off when Robo "blinks". Robo is polished to a shine, but the various metallic pieces of his body seem to have been treated in a fashion that prevents glare. Despite looking to be made of gold and steel, his shell consists of futuristic metal alloys.
Robo has an area on his left chest plate half that has a silver colored tube connected to two parts. A long pastel green ribbown with a high silk-like sheen to it is tied there in a rather cute bow with medium tails, and its all around pretty girly. It is the part of his appearance that tends to catch most people's eyes first due to the conflict it creates, but he wouldn't take it off for anything.
Weapons
If one were to be specific, Robo's entire body is a weapon. While not created for combat, he was designed to be able to protect humans and himself if the case were to arise. He is able to use rockets built into his body, lasers, localized explosions, and can even discharge the electricity built up in his body to attack his enemies. His body is bulky and heavy enough that he can cause significant damage with a simple tackle.
What could be considered his "main" weapon is actually his entire left arm. He can detach different add ons that effects the way his weapon hand manifests when he draws his main hand inwards. The one he prefers due to its reliability is the Terra Arm, and its he one he has equipped. All of his "arms" look rather similar outwardly, the mamin difference being on the dial like attachment at the middle of his long lower arms. In the case of the Terra Arm, it seems to be made of grey rock. The dial upon it appears to be diamond, but beyond that there is nothing special about it.
Abilities/Powers
Robo, being a robot, doesn't truly have any "powers". He does have skills no human could perform, but they are built into what he is as opposed to special abilities. While he is able to combine his abilities with others, his side of the combination are merely teamwork involving his skills. As such they are all listed there.
Skills
Robo has more than a few skills, some skirting the edges of powers. He is a literal walking dictionary, although he does have some problems with some of the more human tendencies such as joke telling and slang. He is able to understand every language spoken in his time and is a quick learner of languages he is exposed to. He has various standard robotic skills, and is able to provide limited site in the dark by the glow his eyes give off. He's a humanoid robot created to help humans, and has all the skills one created for such a purpose might be expected to have.
He also have quite the attack repretoire. Unlike a lot of his friends who have to give an incantation to summon their powers, Robo doesn't really have to say anything. The attacks do tend to require a charge up of varying times, but the tendency to shout the name was a quirk he picked up from his human companions. His abilities aside from his main attacks are all predefined, and they are listed below. He is able to use teamwork and combine his powers with others, but only the ones he knows of and is able to access considering which of his friends are on the Island are listed.
Rocket Punch - Robo puts his weapon/let hand into a fist, points it at the enemy, and sends it out with the force of a small rocket. Requires no charge up time, but he does have to lift his arm.
Cure Beam - Robo stands still and opens his chest plates. A beam of blue light envelops a single ally and heals them with a technology similar to the "Enetron" healing devices of his time. Requires no charge up. It isn't very strong and generally the most it can handle are the mildest of severe cuts.
Laser Spin - Robo opens his chest plate and spins in a circle, hitting every target within Robo's sight with a damagin laser. Requires a brief charge up in addition to his attack. What makes the attack interesting is that while it is not magical in nature, enough about magic is known in the future that it effects enemies as if it were a spell of the Shadow magic variety. It doesn't give off any magical readings, although worlds where some technology is powered by magic might get a feeling from it.
Robo Tackle - Robo stores energy within himself and uses it to propel himself towards an enemy like a rocket. Requires a charge up longer than his Laser Spin attack to build up the necessary energy.
Heal Beam - An upgraded version of his Cure Beam. It isn't much stronger, but it is able to heal all allies within a small area. Due to the extended range, it does require a brief charge.
Rapid-Fire Fist - An upgraded version of his Rocket Punch. He sends out his hand like he does with Rocket Punch, but it flies around and hits the enemy several times at high and hard to dodge speeds. Requires no extra preparation, but a fast enemy can lessen the blow once they realize what is going on.
Proximity Bomb - Robo opens up his chest plates and sends out a bomb-like force from comrpression of his inner workings. It only effects enemies near him, but what little charging it requires can be done while he's active. Rather effective in handing it when the enemies dogpile him. It does damage like fire magic, but its not magical in nature. It might give a reading of magic the way his Laser Spin can, though.
Electocute - Robo builds up electric energy within his body before discharging it onto the battlefield. He seems to have moderate control over how it flows as it almost never hits his allies. It does damage like Light magic, but its not magical in nature. It might give a reading of magic the way his Laser Spin can, though.
Supersonic Spin - Robo can only perform this move with Crono. Robo takes the brief time needed to charge his Laser Spin and Crono basically jumps on top of him and performs his Cyclone. The extra inertia causes Robo's lasers to spin faster, allowing extra damage and a slightly wider reach with the attack.
Cyclone Sweep - Robo can only perform this move with Crono. Robo basically uses the energy from his Laser Spin to grant Crono's Cleave a greater range and slight power boost. It allows Crono to hit multiple enemies that are near Robo with his Cleave.
Megavolt - Robo can only perform this move with Crono. Crono begins the incantation for his Lightning 2 attack and Robo charges up the energy of his Elecrocute attack. Crono aims his spell at Robo and gives him a boost to his elecrocute. It basically provides an amped up version of both attacks with no extra energy needed to be expended by either party.
Fire Punch - Robo can only perform this move with Lucca. Lucca starts her incantation of her Fire spell, but rather than aiming it at the enemy she fires it at Robo. Robo allows the attack to hit his weapon fist and uses it to increase the power and alter the element of his Rocket Punch. The extra energy does cause a slight erratic reaction on his fist and causes it to hit a circle of enemies rather than a single target.
Fire Tackle - Robo can only perform this move with Lucca. Lucca stars her incantation of her Fire II spell and Robo charges the energy necessary for his Robo Tackle. Just as Robo releases the energy, Lucca casts the spell on Robo, giving it an elemental boost to cause more damage of a differnet nature.
Double Bomb - Robo can only perform this move with Lucca. Lucca tosses one of her Megaton Bombs towards Robo, who releases the heated pressure of his Proximity Bomb. The heat sets the bomb off and causes a double whammy of his personal bomb and Lucca's homemade ones. It still only hits enemies near Robo, but it does extra damage.
Ring of Fire - Robo must be fighting with both Crono and Lucca to perform this move. Lucca begins to cast her Fire II spell and Crono and Robo perform the steps to perform their Cyclone Sweep attack. Lucca unleashes the spell on Robo and Crono uses his boost as his owno. Its basically a fire-powered version of Cyclone Sweep with a noticable damage boost as a result.
Omega Flare - Robo must be fighting with both Lucca and Magus to perform this move, and one of the three must have a mystical stone known simply as the "Blue Gemstone" in their possession to channel the energy right. Lucca begins the chant to cast her Flare attack, and Magus begins his chant for Dark Bomb. The residual energy from both attacks basically provides a boost to launch Robo into the air, where he sends his Laser Spin down on the enemies. The brunt of the attack actually falls on Magus, where he recycles the energy from the other "casters" to set off a series of explosions via Dark Bomb.
Personality
Robo is a caring individual. He has a strong streak of what seems like naivete about him and sometimes suffers from not knowing fully proper human etiquette, but it tends to make him come across more lovable than anything else. He's an excellent listener and admires and sees well the good traits in humanity. He is not easily angered, but he sometimes has troubles grasping why people get torn up over certain situations.
He seems to know when to be quiet and when to say what needs to be said, but sometimes the humans around him don't agree. He is a bit guilty of trying to hard sometimes, and his biggest weakness is perhaps his kind heart towards the world around him. Sarcasm does tend to fall rather flat with him, and it is completely within character for him to realize why a joke was funny a week after it was told.
History
Promethius and his companion robot Atropos were built in 999 AF (After Fusion) in Truce Dome. They were created based on extensive notes left by a scientist by the name of Lucca Cecil. Among the notes were several insistances about specifics on the designs about what Promethius and Atropos were meant to be built for and safeguards to their memories. Promethius actually had far more, including a piece the notes called a "Hyper Gate Stabilizer" that used the advanced technology created from the fusion of Fon Machines, Fonic Artes, and the descendant of the technology originally native to Robo's world.
Robo seemed odd to designers when he awoke. There was a period of odd disorientation, but it passed quickly thanks to the support he received. It had been in fact mentioned as a possibility within the creation notes, something no one ever figured out why it was only mentioned for Promethius and not Atropos. Once that hurdle was past, the two specially designed members of othe X robot line fell in love, but it would be short leaved. As the year was coming to the close and the government was preparing for a Millenial Fair, an entity exploded out of the ground. Both Robo and Atropos were damaged trying to defend the humans, and various events and land changes caused their damaged bodies to seperate from each other.
~300 years later, Promethius would awaken with little in the way of memories. A girl with magenta hair had repaired him. After introductions and a nickname to avoid his serial number, Robo helped the three teenagers gain access to an area in the back of the place they had found him. He became damaged aiding in an escape from the area providing the place they found him with power. As Lucca was fixing him, she told him what the group was trying to do and touched by her request rather than order he came along with them.
Robo accompanied his new friends as they hopped between time periods in their efforts to stop the future they had found and Robo had come from. He did manage to throw the anthropomorphic frog known as "Frog" from the Middle Ages. The cave woman named Ayla found him fascinating and the mage Magus that joined their team didn't seem to think him anything all that odd. After Crono sacrificed his life to save his friends, Robo helped them bring him back.
One of the adventures the group took after Crono came back was painful for Robo. They discovered a lot of his past and found Atropos. She had been repaired and her memory banks wiped clean by a highly sentient computer system known as Mother Brain. Robo was forced to destroy Atropos, but the fight caused enough of her memory to come back for a pained reunion before Robo was forced to destroy his entire heritage and "family" to protect the hopes of humanity. It's where he received his ribbon.
After the many side adventures he had with his friends, three of their group raided the flying palace known as the Black Omen that had risen in 10,000 BCE. From their those three faced down the destroyer of the world in 1,999 CE and altered what would happen in the time Robo was from. Robo was bid a tearful fair well by the closest friend he had, a Lucca Ashtear, before going through the portal.
When Robo entered the Gate to bring him back to his own time, one of the features of the Hyper Gate Stabilizer kicked into play. Rather than returning to his own time, a magical reaction that would be called fonic had Robo had access to the memories of his original timeline kicked into play. It sent him to another world entirely, and he would be waking on Dimension Island rather disorientated...

Okay, explanation time. See that mindscrew of a history? There's a very big reason for that. It involves a plot me, FF, and Ani are running. It also invovles the standalone fanfiction that will break off of it. The name of the scientist who made the notes for Robo? It's Lucca Ashtear from Crono Trigger, its a non-canon ship that'll be used in the RP, I'll get it approved once I get Guy. So the history involves mind screw via time travel AND dimension hopping.
Why does no one in the future know about the whole AF thing in game canon, how am I wanking that? Well, once Lavos caused his havoc in the original timeline, the permanent connection between CT's Earth and Auldrant was closed. A lot of historical data was lost, and 300 years is at least three generations. When you consider the poor health post-apocolaypse, it's probably closer to five generations. People are more concerned with maintaining life than historical records accurately. Also, I say we can blame the efforts of Mother Brain and company for effecting the data. Knowledge is power and Mother Brain wanted to strip humans of all their power and destroy them.
Also, I'm purposely stating that the future that was changed was not as much as Crono and company think. They only changed the future 2000 AD/1001 AF onward by defeating Lavos, not the future leading up to that. Just... time travel, don't think too hard, okay?
