His hair is a rather stunning shade of green, and the way it was cut makes it look like someone was trying to do a perfectly straight cut while leaving some bangs, but instead it just ended up rather choppy. His eyes are the same green shade as his hair. Kyle tends to lean on the lean side of things, and actually doesn’t have a lot of muscle. As far as his clothing goes, he tends to wear muted colors, such as faded khaki browns and white, and never anything too casual. Typically, some sort of white shirt with a faded brown vest over it and faded brown pants usually held up by a black belt. The most casual part of this outfit would probably be a worn pair of tennis shoes Kyle wears.
Kyle’s shadow normally looks like any other shadow, but there’s times when it acts oddly. Sometimes it will writhe in the presence of intense light energy, or at times it will laugh at you.
At times when Kyle is possessed by Oni, his appearance will slightly change. The most noticeable differences are the growth of long horns from his head, his ears changing to a pointed shape, and the growth of a long prehensile tail. Oni reacted and cut her throat, showering Kyle in a spray of blood. Then Oni decided that Kyle needed to be taught a lesson about respect, and disemboweled the woman before hanging her from the ceiling fan. Kyle had still been standing there, staring at the spectacle, when his father came home from work. The event ended up being so traumatic that Kyle doesn’t even remember what happened that day now, only that his mother died and Oni was the one who killed her.

His entire body is covered with dark blue fur. His head is foxlike, with two long ears much like a fox's and highly expressive green eyes. On his forehead, there is a marking known as the Mark of Oni, which consists of three upside-down red triangles underneath one right-side up one. He has a long neck with two red ringlike markings around it. His hands are larger than normal, with four opposable digits on each hand. Each finger is tipped with a large, savage claw that's about as long as the finger itself when fully extended. On the back of the hand is the Mark of Oni, while around his wrists are two of the red rings. His feet are similar to a wolf's, and are tipped with the same savage claws. Extending from Oni's hips is a long tail that is around seven feet itself, and is tipped with a large tuft of fur. Going down Oni's spine are several curved bony spikes.
In his form as Kyle's shadow, he normally resembles Kyle himself, as in that form, he uses the least amount of energy as he can. When exerting more energy, he resembles his true form a bit more, but he still is quite clearly a shadow.
Weapons: Oni uses no weapons, preferring to use the claws of his shadow and true forms to fight. He’s actually not all that physically strong, and instead uses his own smarts instead of strength to fight.
Abilities/Powers: Oni is a Puppetmaster Demon, which should give you some clue to what his powers are. His powers involve controlling people in various ways. His most effective method of controlling people is one of his most dangerous. If he enters a soulgaze with someone (which is initiated by getting direct eye contact with the involved party), he can discern their true name (also known as a “soul name.”) By using this, he can control someone and force them into becoming his servant. He can do this without a soul name (as he did once to several hundred people when he was at his full strength), but it’s a weaker form of control that someone with a strong mind or will can break free off. Oni isn’t capable of any of these powers while in shadow form and can only use them while possessing Kyle.
Oni is also capable of controlling shadows, manipulating them to serve his means. In fact, his “strings” that he uses to control others are made of shadows themselves. This is one power he can use while in shadow form.
When separated from a host, Oni is capable of taking a form that looks like a smaller, cuter version of his true form. This form exists only for manipulation and works damn well, too.

One day, another, rival puppetmaster demon appeared, calling himself Kappa (he now goes by Larry). The demon had come to actually free the people of the pass. Oni and Kappa fought, and ended up killing each other. Oni escaped into the dimensional void, while Kappa was forced to possess a keychain and wait for a human to codepend on.
Oni ended up finding a new host quickly enough. After taking the form of an absolutely adorable injured little fox/demon, Oni was found by a naive boy named Kyle who was easily tricked into making a blood pact. The blood pact bound Oni to Kyle’s shadow instead of his body like Oni had been hoping, but the shadow line had been the only way to convince Kyle to do it. Upon Kyle’s arrival back home, Oni demonstrated that he wasn’t going to play around, brutally murdered Kyle’s mother, explaining that he’d do this to every single one of Kyle’s friends and family until Kyle gave in.
Things went on like this for five years until Oni met two peculiar beings. One was named Him and wished for a man named Gantz to be captured and brought to him. The other was named Nicholas Flamel and only wished for Gantz dead. Oni took on both their offers, in case he accidentally ended up killing the involved person. Oni managed to get Kyle to the Temple of Balance, where he heard Gantz would be appearing soon, and then injured him badly enough that whoever would show up there would be spurned into helping the injured child… which was exactly what Oni wanted.
