Full Name: Dean Winchester
Nicknames: N/A (But seemingly endless pseudonyms)
Age: 27
Height: 6'1" (by actor)
Weight: ~186 lbs (by actor)
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Neutral with Good leans
Home: N/A (constantly moving)
Franchise: Supernatural (Season 1 only)
Physical Description
Dean is Caucasian adult male of moderate height and slight muscular definition. His brown hair is cut short enough that it doesn't hang from the back at all. His bangs are a bit longer but still short enough it just creates a fuller look at the front of his head rather than actual bangs. He has very slight sideburns and seems to prefer to keep his face shaven. He has brown eyes.
He varies his clothes like any normal person does, but there does seem to be a slights style. He likes t-shirts and jackets of some sort. Whether the jacket is simple cotton, worn leather, quality leather, or some other material does seem to depend on the day and his mood. He's most commonly seen in jeans and does seem to have a slight (but not large) preference for darker outfits. He favors tennis shoes, and when he does go for non-functional jewelry he tends to stick to men's rings and pendants.
Weapons
Thanks to the circumstances of his arrival on the Island, Dean doesn't have any weapons on him. However, he isn't incapable of brawling should the need arise, and the man is rather good with making good use of his surroundings. He prefers guns though, hands down.
Abilities/Powers
Dean doesn't really possess anything one could call a power. For that, you want to talk to his brother Sam. Any powers he uses are actually drawn from artifacts he happens to get a hold of or rituals he has performed. All of it falls better under skills.
Skills
The man is extremely skilled. He knows how to use a gun well, and is a good shot. He has been shown to be able to use various blades. His upbringing means he is able to use most weapons, both modern and archaic. Providing one doesn't have to be a psychic or "magic user" of some sort, he can also use weapons of paranormal nature. He is able to read, write, and speak quite a few languages, both living and alive. Of special note is his ability to speak/write/read fluent Latin.
Dean is an excellent con man. He is skilled at credit card fraud, identity theft, breaking and entering, and a whole laundry list of talents. The mere fact that he has that list is one of the main reasons he isn't on every wanted list from here to Hell and back. He's extremely fit, and while he's not horribly agile he's no where near a klutz either. The man can scale fences like they aren't even there.
He's got a good eye for his surroundings, although it falls rather short of some of his brother's observational skills. He's extremely intuitive and can often find the hidden in things most people barely take note of. He's extremely well versed on the occult and can easily come up with several options for how something is paranormal or how it isn't.
Personality
At first glance, Dean seems a pretty stoic individual. He seems to get in and out of conversations well, and never seems inclined to stay in one place for long, for whatever reason. The first glace goes away pretty quickly though, and Dean's actually more than a bit hot headed. He has a horrible time admitting he's wrong, and he's also kind of a bully. While the way he teases his brother Sam is fairly normal for their relation, he's extremely known for snarking to just about anyone. You could put a gun to his head and he'd give you reason to shoot him with a smart ass comment.
He's extremely faithful to his father and the goal of their family. He's often been described as a "good little soldier" and he rarely outright questions his father. If you can beat your way past the surface thoughts, he will admit to not agreeing to a lot of what his father does. However, he fully believes the man has his family's best interests in mind and will often stuff what he feels to do what the man says. Dean cares deeply about his family and values them more than anything. He is aware that they don't need him nearly as much as he needs them, but its not something he'd every really admit out loud.
Dean does have quite the issue with his zipper. That is to say he practically hits on everything that moves, and seems to possess a certain level of charm as he's not got a horrible batting average. In relation to other men, he tends to take an antagonistic attitude. He has trouble playing nice, and can only really do so for a limited time to accomplish a job or gather information. He's pretty decent with kids, although events in his past means he clicks better with kids who have siblings, particularly if said siblings are younger.
He also has rather extreme anger management and protection issues. He's definitely the most emotional one of his family. He's extremely reckless when it comes to protecting those he cares about and/or has made it his job to protect. He is a bit of a hypocrite as he'd be more than willing to throw his life away for his family, but if one of them tries to do the same he'll go so far as to get physical to stop them. At least for his brother. In the case of his father, he'll have the rare case of talking back to the man. He knows his family very well and it has proven useful in the past.
History
Dean's life was pretty normal for the first six years. He lived in a large two story house with his mother and father. When he was in the latter part of five, his mother gave birth to his brother, Samuel. There wasn't really time for the usual brother tension to develop because of what occurred 22 years ago, on the night that "Sammy" turned six months old. A mysterious series of events lead to his mother being killed by being stuck to a ceiling and being engulfed in flames. It was only by the desperate actions of his father, John, that the rest of them survived. He shoved young Sam into Dean's arms and ordered him to run out of the house.
After that, their life was anything but normal. Their father distanced himself from them emotionally and Dean and Sam were taken on the road. John made it his mission to find that thing that had killed his wife and take revenge upon it. Over the years he gathered more data, keeping it mostly a secret from Dean and Sam. During those years, he hunted down every monster he ran into, and taught the skills needed to do so to his sons. It was where Dean got his nearly unending occult knowledge and skills in battle.
At one point, Sam had had enough and left the group. He attended law school and managed to do rather well. John kept an eye on Sam from a distance, and as a result Dean was able to as well. Sam got involved with a girl named Jessica, or Jess, and things seemed to be going pretty well for him. He had an interview coming up when Dean showed up at his house one evening. Sam was stunned to see his brother, to say the least, and when Dean ended up having to mention a "hunting trip" to Sam to get his younger brother to send Jess out of the room.
The two brothers fought. Dean insisted that there was something wrong. John had gone on a hunting trip, which with Jess gone meant he was going after some monster, and he was overdue for coming back. It ended with Sam pretty much telling Dean to screw himself, and the feelings as they separated were anything but positive. However, that night, Sam's apartment mysteriously caught fire in the way his nursery had when he was a baby. Jess died in the same manner as his mother. Dean was there in an instant, and Sam told him he'd help him find their father. He wanted revenge for having now lost two women he cared about to the demon.
Over the next few months, the two brothers worked together to take down various monsters. They were trying to find their father, but they always seemed to be a step behind him. From time to time he would guide them to various locations, where they would work together to deal with the paranormal happenings. During this time, Sam began to develop these odd visions, this psychic power. Dean didn't want to accept it at first, but being fully aware of that kind of thing being possible it was able to sink in. They eventually ran into their father again due to involvement with a woman named Meg.
After the incident with Meg, who appeared to be working with some really badass demons, was handled, the brothers separated from their father again. More issues were handled, and eventually things hit the fan when a gun was stolen by some vampires from an old friend of John's. The boys began to work with their father again. The series of events lead to them learning more about the demon that had killed their mother and Sam's girlfriend. The gun was a special Colt that had been created to kill anything it could shoot.
Eventually John got captured by a group of demons. Dean and Sam worked together to rescue the man, which involved things like exorcisms and pretty much looking demons in the face. At some point they literally ran into the demon that had killed their mother, but Sam missed with the gun as the demon vanished into a cloud of sulfur. When they rescued their father, Sam took the precaution of sprinkling holy water on him. It didn't cause any harm, so they presumed the man was not possessed.
They fled to a cabin in the middle of nowhere after this, where it seemed the extremely powerful yellow eyed demon had cornered them. Dean was able to figure out his father really was possessed, and pointed the Colt at the man's head. While it was his father's body, he was sure it was a demon. However, when the man challenged him to prove his point by killing him, Dean wasn't able to do it. As a result the demon pretty much handed them their heads. After some taunting of the two brothers he was using his power to hold up against a wall, he began to use his power to crush Dean from the inside out. John was able to express dominance for just a bit so he wouldn't kill Dean, and Sam took the opening to grab the gun and shoot the man in the leg.
The occult bullet did its trick, extremely weakening the demon. While Dean lay there trying to recover, Sam had the perfect chance to kill the demon at the cost of his father's life. John begged his younger son to do so and Dean yelled at him not to. In the end, he took too long and the demon expelled itself from John's body. This lead to John criticizing the hell out of Sam. Both John and Dean needed medical attention by this point, so Sam got them into the car and they drove off. They needed to head to the nearest hospital.
The three of them had begun to fight by this point, and it was pretty severe. The gun, which had only had a limited number of bullets to begin with, now had one. They still had a chance to kill that demon, they just had to find it again. This argument was going on when their car was blindsided by a massive truck. The side of it was crushed and both vehicles were driven off the road. The three in the truck were smacked unconscious and all three were now severely injured.
The demon that had possessed the truck driver jumped out of the truck in the driver's body. It wasn't long before a few more demons showed up, including the yellow eyed one that had previously been in John's body. What happened after that is not clear nor is it known by Dean. What he does know is he'll be waking up elsewhere with his brother. No gun, no father, no idea...
Other
For a plot with Jilak, who has Sam. We only use the first season of Supernatural as canon, so events after that may or may not be ignored.
