Physical Description: Azrael is a Zangoose of slightly above-average height, though you probably couldn't tell unless you went in to measure him next to a normal one. His upper arms and parts of his chest are a bit decayed, revealing the bone underneath. Oddly enough, he seems to lack normal internal organs, and if you were to look through the holes on his chest, you would see what appears to be a black void where his heart would be.
His coloring is where he stands out from normal Zangoose. All of the standard white fur is replaced by a dead black, and his claws are of the same color. His red markings are more blood red than usual, and appear to have lengthened with pieces that look like blood droplets going down a flat surface. He has somewhat long dark gray 'hair' that falls into his face, usually covering one eye. He wears a necklace of bones around his neck, and his expression is usually one of depression.
He can also willingly shift into a human form. He is very pale, looking nearly white, complimented by his red eyes and offset by lank dark gray hair falling into his face, styled into a somewhat long 'emo' style. He wears a tight black t-shirt with funeral announcements on it in red lettering resembling blood, a dark gray long-sleeved undershirt, dark red fingerless gloves, black skinny jeans, and black sneakers. His bone necklace carries over to the outfit, and his nails are painted black. He is also very skinny, his ribs would show if he were to take off his shirt, he is virtually void of any body fat and barely has any muscle.
Weapons: His entire body practically IS a weapon.
Abilities/Powers: His attacks, noted below;
*Slash- A simple slashing attack, this won't hit a ghost.
*Embargo- Prevents the target from using items, or from items being used on the target, at least until he faints.
*Close Combat- A ferocious beatdown, though the aftermath of the attack leaves him more vulnerable to any sort of attack. He doesn't like to use this attack.
*Shadow Ball- A blob made of shadows is sent at a target, it may lower their magical resistance.
*Double Team- He creates several illusionary copies of himself for defense. Only the real one casts a shadow.
*Ice Punch- A punch delivered with an icy fist, it may cause freezing.
*Swagger- Enraging a foe into confusion, though this sharply raises their physical attack power.
He can also never be poisoned. While toxins still damage him, he will never be poisoned. This is the result of his "Immunity" ability, and here on the Island it translates to his inability to be poisoned by any sort of toxin. This even carries over to his human form, a slight tip-off to the fact that he is not a real human.
As he is the son of the death god, he sports a lesser form of his father's life-ending powers. If his claws start to glow with a black light, he can end the life of somebody by simply touching them. However, for humans, animals, Pokemon and the like, it will only work if they are near or at the end of their lifespan. Plants will wither and die no matter what their expected lifespan is, though. (this means actual plants, not plant creatures) In addition to this, he can read souls to some extent, but it will only tell him how much longer they have to live.
Skills: Being a fairly strong fighter, intimidation, extreme durability and regenerative properties, the ability to go for a loooooooooong time without talking, and making people in general feel uncomfortable by just being around them.
Personality: Azrael is basically the textbook definition of "introvert". He hardly says anything, and when he does, his voice is quiet and mumbling. He has a hard time dealing with social situations, and more often than not had to be dragged by his father to social gatherings. He is pessimistic and cynical; if it rains, it will be a flood, and it will leave a disaster in its wake.
He is also quite intelligent, even if a fair portion of his knowledge is rather... disturbing. He is much smarter than the average Pokemon (save Alakazams and such), and is probably the only demi-god that could stand up to Galthro in a battle of wits. Most of the other demi-gods are afraid of him and give him a wide breadth, which suits him fine. However, he feels a slight bond with Galthro, due to the two of them being the oldest and the smartest.
Azrael also admires his father, but not so much that it is obvious. He seeks knowledge on his father's past, as well as the pasts of the other gods. It is this undying curiosity that has led him to sneaking into his father's libraries, though his search so far has been fruitless.
History: He was born to the death god, Doomsday, and a mortal Zangoose, though his birth was forfilling his mother's dying wish. His father kept his mother alive long enough to deliver their son, and then to name him Azrael. As such, he has virtually no knowledge of his mother. He is the oldest demi-god, and aged a bit slower than the rest as a result of his parentage. In his younger years, he would often spend time with the spirits of the deceased, and as more demi-gods were born, usually went up to the Heavenly Realm to visit. However, as the years went by, he noticed that they changed how they reacted towards him. They went from not caring about who he was, to backing away in fear of him. Startled by this sudden change, Azrael then spent most of his days in the Underworlds. However, even the spirits were afraid of him, and then concluded that he would be best living out his life in the hellish landscape of the bottom of the underworlds.
He developed a bitter and antisocial personality over the years, and usually had to be forced out by his father to attend social gatherings. However, as the other demi-gods grew, he heard of what they called him. He was well on track to becoming a monster, but was stopped by the only one who never called him anything. His name was Galthro, and he quickly became the only grip on Azrael's sanity. While his bitterness and antisocial tendencies faded away, they were replaced by pessimism, cynicism, and extreme introversion. While he remained in the bottom of the Underworlds most of the time, he occasionally went up to visit Galthro.
Eventually he got bored with his life, and decided to explore the mortal world. He passed his decaying state off as a medical condition, and his coloring as full-body dye. He felt... a bit uplifted by this new world, and built himself a place to live on Sapphire Island. He learned of humans for the first time, and more of the history of the lands his father was a god of. It was not too long ago when he got bored again, and went through a portal on Sapphire Island. He was spit out on the Dimensional Island, and wanders the island even though he has been there for at least fifty years.
Other: The Island's auto-translate feature doesn't work on him in Pokemon form, but he can speak the human language without any hints of an "accent" (growling and such) spilling in, and with a fairly flat and deep voice. However, on the Island, he will usually be in his human form to make blending in easier.
