Full Name: Deimos Cieloburo (he doesn't like to use his last name as he was disowned)
Nicknames: Umbreon of the Night Tundra, Reject, Moron, Idiot, etc...
Age: 24 in human years
Height: 3'5''
Weight: 68 pounds
Gender: Male
Race: Umbreon (mutated)
Alliance: Chaotic Neutral/Good
Home: Birthplace is just off the coast of Pearl Island.
Franchise: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Physical Description: He's a bit large for an Umbreon, though it doesn't really show unless you were to place him next to one of ordinary size. His coloring is what makes him stand out. All of his black fur is replaced by a very pale shade of blue-gray, and his markings are a dark yet shiny blue. His eyes are an icy blue, and if you look closely, his body is actually covered in a thin coat of ice that never melts. He wears a dark blue bandana tied around his tail, and a matching one around his left ear.
Weapons: His teeth, tail, head, claws, you get the deal.
Abilities/Powers: His attacks;
*Headbutt- Slamming into the opponent with his head.
*Confuse Ray- A sinister ray that can induce... confusion.
*Screech- An earsplitting shriek that cuts the opponent's defensive stat in half.
*Mean Look- Giving the foe a dark, affixing look that prevents fleeing.
*Dark Pulse- Releasing a dark aura.
*Iron Tail- Slamming the opponent with a rock-hard tail.
*Psychic- Launching a psychic blast at the opponent.
*Moonlight- Restoring his hit points, it works best at night.
*Ice Beam- Releasing an icy beam that may freeze the target. He's learned this attack because of the strange atmosphere of Pineapple Island slightly mutating his brain.
*Hail- Summoning a hailstorm for a short time. He's learned this attack the same way as Ice Beam.
Deimos has the odd ability to share afflictions with his opponents. Paralyze Deimos, get paralyzed. Poison Deimos, get poisoned. Burn Deimos, get burnt. This even works on non-Pokemon! However, if he gets healed, any foe that has had the status shared with them will still suffer. However, this affliction will not be shared with the foe if they are somehow immune to the condition. This is how his "Synchronize" ability manifests itself.
Skills: Deimos is hard to match in cold climates. He can run across ice without slipping, and can maneuver through snow without much issues. In addition, he can also use hail to his advantage to obscure his form, and lure an enemy off-guard, a sort of mind game. He can't fight as well in a hot climate, though- in fact, heat of any sort will weaken him.
The coat of ice on his body provides some degree of protection against attacks, and freezing attacks will only STRENGTHEN it (though he still takes damage from the attack). However, heat will melt at this protection, and lower his ability to tale hits. If it is completely melted, it generally refreezes within a few hours.
He is also a fairly skilled tracker, though a scent over twenty-four hours old has a chance of misleading him. His people-reading skills come in handy, as he is able to sense fear and sadness (kind of like a dog can). Deimos' uses this emotion-reading skill to check for possible loyalty and trust issues, nifty for his job.
Personality: On the surface, Deimos appears to be, to put is bluntly, an idiot. He's not too smart, usually misinterpretation clues and hints, ranging from the understandable (such as making a wrong turn on series of long directions) to the utterly stupid (like mistaking nerve gas for pixie powder). He is also COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS to love. Deimos is also known to jumping to conclusions, and usually getting it wrong.
This is really to obscure his smart side, a case of "obfuscating stupidity". Deimos is far more intelligent than he lets on, not in book smarts, but he's got his street and world smarts. He's also good at reading others (a good skill for a mercenary to have), and can identify how somebody's feeling by scent.
History: Deimos was born to the wealthy Cieloburo family, who made their name in the mining business. His mother, Nyota, was the head of this influential family, and together with her husband, Frederick, bore three children, and expected them to all compete with each other for control of the company when she was to pass on. Deimos was the first, followed by his brother, Janus, and finally his sister, Eris. While Frederick at least had some mercy to their mistakes, Nyota wouldn't accept anything less then perfection from her three children, and would often beat them for the slightest of errors, and even if they were "perfect", claiming it would "toughen them up for later in life".
Deimos was the black sheep of these three children. While Janus and Eris adhered to their parents' every word and command, he found more pleasure in going out of his way to break their rules. This obviously didn't go over well with Nyota and Frederick, and they were quick to ship Deimos off to a remedial school. This didn't end well, because the first thing Deimos, now thirteen, did was drive the teachers insane.
Upon being sent back after a grand total of three days, Deimos came home to a pair of very angry parents. Nyota was absolutely furious at him, and ashamed to be his mother. In a swift moment of ruthlessness, she told Deimos to pack and cut him out of her will. He wasn't allowed to even give his siblings a farewell, and from what we can tell, their minds were essentially "re-wired" to believe that Deimos never existed. When Deimos has packed, Nyota had him knocked out, and shipped away to another island.
When Deimos awoke, he found himself inside a fragile crate. Easily busting out, he was greeted by a raging blizzard. In spite of being only thirteen, he realized that his mother wanted him dead, and that they never loved him. He cried himself to sleep that night in the crate.
When day broke, Deimos decided he would be best off on his own. He lived on what was known as Pineapple Island for four years, and felt the strange effects of the atmosphere. He was being attacked by a Mamoswine at seventeen, when he suddenly unleashed an Ice Beam attack at it. He was startled, and even more so when he evolved. Using a frozen lake as a makeshift mirror, he saw that... he didn't look like an regular Umbreon. Instead of black and yellow, he was light blue-gray and dark blue. He decided... that maybe, just maybe he could make use of his new powers. He snuck aboard a ship leaving Pineapple Island, and he ended up on Obsidian Island.
Familiar with the climate, Deimos saw through the hail and spotted a Pidgeotto being attacked by something. Climbing up the cliffs, he mounted a sneak attack on its attacker, and succeeded in fighting him off. He saw that the Pidgeotto had abnormally long head feathers, and that they were blue and green. Starting up a conversation, he found out his name was Siltakraeanzauzu, but honestly preferred Sil. Deimos learned that Sil was alone, and figuring that they'd be best off together, formed a small-scale exploration team, called Team Icewings. They've been together for seven years now, nothing special's happened.
That is, until now. It was on an exploration into one of the caves on Ruby Island, when Deimos complained of the heat. He ended up passing out, and falling into a portal in the walls. Sil followed, but inside the portal, the two were split up, and Sil lost his hold on Deimos. The Umbreon was later spit out on a mountain, way up north in the tundras... not even in his own world anymore.
Other: He's a Dark/Ice-type, because of the strange effects of what the atmosphere of Pineapple Island does to non-Ice-types. (mono-types gain an Ice-type, and dual-types' have their less dominant type replaced by Ice, and in both cases get access to a "generic Ice movepool")
The Island's auto-translate feature works on him.
Picture: Not yet.
