Physical Description
Seth appears to be a slightly pale Japanese teenager of moderate height and very slightly muscled build. He has blue hair on the long end of short, with the part in the center of his head and carefully combed to each side. It falls to the base of his neck in a slight v-shape, the tip being at his neck's base. He has serious and mature blue eyes that far belie his apparent ears. If you were to just look at his eyes one might put him in his late thirties, at least.
He sometimes wears dull grey headphones with the part that sweeps behind his had giving the slight illusion of short "demon horns". A retractable cord usually rests inside them and is black in color. It represents a sort of pseudo-crown to indicate his position within the Court of Bel. He tends to only wear them when he's officially representing his capacity in the Court. In addition to his crown, he has a long grey cape with a slightly exaggerated collar. It is held on with a bronze chain with a clasp at the left. Like his headphones, he only wears it to represent himself in his official capacity as the Prince of Bel.
He tends to wear long sleeves and is always seen in pants. His wardrobe color choices range from grey to black and in between. He dresses for the weather, but is generally always seen in tall black boots. He is known for keeping a mid-length dagger on the outside of his right boot, concealed by the fact he wears pants.
His most noticable trait, that he tends to keep concealed as often as he can but doesn't go out of his way to hide, is his massive amount of scarring. From his feet to the under side of his chin the teenager is covered in scars. They vary in appearance from burns, flogs, cuts (many jagged), gouges etc.
Three areas are especially distinct. His back hardly looks human for the slashes, dips, raised areas, and other markings that disturb it more than the surface of the moon. He isn't as sensitive to touch there due to a build up of scar tissue. On each of his hands and both feet are Christian cross shaped scars. If Seth were to hold his hands up, the palms facing him, the crosses would appear inverted. His feet would have the crosses facing upfright if they hung down. A comparison to stigmata scarring is makable.
Weapons
Seth has a dark grey device that looks suspiciously like a Nintendo DS, and is known as a Communicaton Player (COMP) in his homeworld. Originally their function was more like a Playstation Portable. The reason it is a weapon is because it allows him to summon up to two demons at any one time as well as boosting his strength so that he can fight on equal footing with demons and angels, fighting as one of them rather than a human. This is due to a function known as the Harmonizer.
He also carries a bronze-hilted dagger for use in a pinch. He rarely finds the need to use it given what he is up against. It is concealed in his right boot when he has it on him, with the pants pulled down to completely hide it.
Abilities/Powers
Seth is, in so far as he knows, a true immortal. He can't be killed by usual methods of killing, as the wounds will heal. Ones that would take his life will heal rather quickly, but more minor ones heal at a slower rate. As he suspects, he is not actually truly immortal. If he were to be crushed, or if his body were destroyed, he would die. His limbs will not heal themselves, so if his arm gets cut off he has to retrieve it and keep it on in some fashion for it to reattach. If it has already healed over he'll have to make a fresh wound so exposed flesh meets exposed flesh.
However, even if he dies, he is functionally immortal. He will be reborn and at the age he would start making memories he will regain the memories of every life he has ever lived like he currently has. He will age until he is physically seventeen, and then he will stop. No matter what happens, he will never age past seventeen.
Skill
Seth's frank way of speaking and immortal human understanding of the events around him seems to incite an interest in former humans. While he's only shown this "skill" around two demons that were once human, he seems to stir memories of their humanity in them. This is not intentional, and seems more related to Seth's way of conversing and frank honesty then anything else.
He is skilled in quick ways of killing, preferring not to make his victims suffer. It tends to be impractical to do anything further. He is able to torture and decently skilled at it, but he tends to prefer not to. He is quite skilled with a dagger as well, doing better with long ones than short ones. He is able to use many weapons due to his memories. He is also a decent strategist, second mainly to Cain.
Seth is panlingual, speaking things like Ancient Hebrew alongside fluent English. Due to having his memories of every life lived, he can speak languages from all of them. His modern Japanese is a second language, however, and it shows from time to time.
Personality
Seth is a very serious and somewhat eerily practical individual. However, while he does see the sense in killing people for a cause, he is adverse to it. He is far wiser than his seventeen years in this life, having the accumulated knowledge of about five thousand instead. He tends to see react to situations with the eyes of someone who seems coldhearted. He is more caring than his habits often indicate, but he prefers not to show what could be seen as weakness to most people.
He is an extremely formal young man, as well. He finds it hard to be rude in formal situations, and he considers rude to be speaking improperly. When addressing a superior, he tends to speak as formally as possible. This has been known to annoy people. When speaking to an equal, he'll speak more like he used to, but there is a certain "aged" factor to his speaking, more as if one is speaking to a man in his middle-ages than a teenager.
Seth does not like opening up to many people. He considers that an invitation to get them killed, and seems very distant. He's weaker than the exterior he tries to show, but internalizes every bit of doubt he can. He is loyal to "his king" and dedicated to the decisions he has made, with nothing able to sway him from them. He tries for the peaceful solution when he can, but seems very much the diplomat. Distant and highly adverse to emotional attachments.
History
Seth's history begins thousands of years ago, when he was born as the third child and third son of Adam and Eve. Just over nine months had passed since Abel had been slain at the hands of Cain when Eve gave birth to Abel. Her grief allowed the timing to cause her to see Seth as Abel's replacement. Seth held anger towards Cain, but the guiding hand of his parents and God convinced him to not chase down and kill his eldest brother. He was joined in that life by dozens of siblings, and he died without ever meeting Cain.
His essence was reborn throughout history many times and in many places much the same way as Abel's. It was scattered and sporadic, and also like Abel he never retained his memories. The difference from Abel's many incarnations is that his had a theme. He would always be incarnated near Abel. Loose divine intervention allowed Seth to steer Abel away from Cain many times. Cain never once even suspected that there was something responsible for guiding Abel away from him, and Seth's incarnations were never the wiser either.
Cain had already been born and was seven years of age when one of Abel's incarnations was conceived in modern Japan. Cain was the son of the brother to who would be Abel's father. Because of the high danger of Cain finally getting to Abel, Seth was incarnated in the same instance, as Abel's twin. The birth order of the three brothers was maintained by minutes at most, maintaining Seth as the youngest. The free will of man, however, meant that when their mother went into labor in divorce court, the twins were seperated with a full ocean between them, and Cain would be able to get close to Abel with no interference.
Keiji grew up thinking himself an only child. It never occurred to him to question the "ni" kanji in the proper way of writing his name. His mother informed him that it was not unheard of for even single children to bear such a name. Keiji's blind attachment to his mother left him to accept that. Despite similarities in the way the twins grew, neither of them ever found any reason to suspect the existance of the other.
When the Yamanote Circle of Tokyo was locked down, it made the international news. It was all anyone was talking about by the seventh day. Keiji was worried about his mother, who had been spiralling into some kind of depression by this point. In the evening of the seventh day of the Lockdown in Tokyo, Keiji thought he saw his mother entering their church, but when he tried to follow he was transported via divine means to a place he would come to know as Dimension Island. He was informed about the true nature of the Lockdown and impeached to become the Messiah by an angel.
Keiji would meet his long seperated twin, the teen named Keiichi Kimura. His efforts at turning Keiichi back to God were met with cold and dark hostility. Keiji in his blindness refused to accept that Keiichi could not be saved. When Keiichi and Naoya fell victim to the monsters of another world known as Shadows, Keiji was kidnapped in his attempts to protect them. In way, he did, for the demon stopped the attack after becoming interested in Keiji.
The demon was named Belphegor, and Keiichi and Naoya had come to the Island to kill him. WHen Belphegor had sensed something about Keiji's soul that he could not pin down, he brought him to the castle he had made his own. Keiji was tortured for around three days, to the brink of death and back again. The trauma to his psyche was so great that Belphegor managed to accomplish his purpose. Keiji remembered his first life, that he bore the soul of Seth. Those trauma induced memories threatened to overtake those of his current life. Belphegor chose to "let" Seth die. He prepared an execution to any one wishing to be the Messiah, and Keiji was literally crucified.
When Keiichi/Abel and Naoya/Cain came to rescue him, he was unaware during much of the fight. Belphegor was killed when Keiichi for the first time truly showed the raising darkness thanks to the growing power of Bel within him. Keiji requested that he be allowed to aid Abel and Cain in their task, and the request was granted. He no longer wanted anything to do with the God he had felt abandoned him. He would spend the next few days recovering, and then the group would return back to their own dimension.
Keiji was introduced to Keiichi's friends and allies. He helped Keiichi accomplish the task, and he finally succumbed to the names he thought of his brothers as during the fight for Abel to win the Throne. He shed the last of the tears he had buried deep inside of him when he was able to meet his birth father with Abel only to have to never see them again. Abel made a last request to the main Keiichi had known as his father to let Keiji's mother know he would never be returning home. After the heartwrenching scene the bloody exit from the city was made.
The day after, their group was cut down by one member and Abel brought them to the Demon Realm. The few weeks would be spent setting Abel's foothold in the Realm as the new King of Demons. The first full moon after Abel had ascended the Throne was terrifying, and it was through Cain that the group realized that Abel the demon would all but supress the personality of Keiichi in this time. It was understood what happened during the next full moon, but what happened could never be predicted.
Seth and Atsuro were drawn away for so-called diplomatic negotiations. The ruler of an area of the Demon Realm was in reality setting up a trap of a game. Abel nearly lost it as a result of some of the "plays", and Seth rushed back to the palace. He realized then he could never leave Abel for any reason. He swore to Abel he would never leave his side again, and the Prince meant it.
Another full moon came and went, and the new moon after that had Abel with the strongest presence of the Keiichi personality his was still capable of showing. He wanted to return to Dimension Island, a fact Cain had long ago confirmed could happen. This time Kaido and Asturo would be coming with them. Cain set the coordinates, and they would soon find out that three and a half months in one world was merely days in another.
On the Island, Abel seemed to be still wrestling with his humanity. Seth had stuck to his words and didn't want Keiichi to be lost. However, events came and went that threatened to break Seth more and more. Interactions with Yuugi's group seemed to yank Abel's emotions around, and eventually the meeting Abel had had with the fallen angel and great demon king Lucifer lead to him sending his General after Abel.
Kaido was killed. Seth sought to die taking revenge on Lucifer's General, "Hitoshura", which lead to Cain showing up and admonishing him. The fight lead to Cain's mortal injury, and he instructed Seth to take the last of his life. Although he hesitated, Seth eventually complied... and the sevenfold curse for killing Cain happened. Every life he'd ever lived came rushing back to him and threatened to shatter him. In fact, had Hitoshura not "killed" him with a slice across his throat, it might have. That small reprieve allowed Seth's mind enough rest to come to terms with the memories. While Abel attempted to kill Hitoshura, Seth recovered... and would soon learn about his immortality.
Atsuro would leave the Court of Bel at his perceived loss of Abel's final humanity, which was accompanied by the gaining of markings and horns. Seth remained, wanting to use his newfound immortality to be a constant reminder to Abel just why he'd chosen to become a demon. If Abel needed to vent frustration, he'd offer himself... he couldn't die, after all...
