Physical Description
Helen is an awkwardly tall British teenager. She has long tan colored hair that has traces of bleach blond at the tips. She prefers to keep her hair up by sweeping her bangs back behind her hair and keeping it in place with a pink flower blossom clip that fades to white at the edges. Some would call it a cherry blossom, but its more generic than that. A ponytail extends from that same point, but it is short and stops about an inch from the straight bottom of her hair, which reaches about halfway down her back. Her eyes are blue.
She prefers to dress in dresses and seems to really like the color pink. She'll often accesories with blue and white, and will often have frills of some sort on her outfit. When in school, however, she'll wear her school uniform. It is a fairly standard sailor uniform, and the color scheme is red and white. She is almost always seen in the same shoes, tall dark pink boots with white straps and silver buckles. The soles are also white.
Weapons
Helen doesn't carry any weapons on her.
Abilities/Powers
Helen is a somewhat rare individual in that she has a natural inclination towards possessing all five of the building blocks of the dreamworld Nightopia. These "Ideya" represent Hope, Purity, Intelligence, Growth, and most important, Courage. In the past, they were at full stretngh, but recently they have been weakening.
What this basically means is that she has the potential to access every aspect of her dream utopia known as Nightopia and the potential to remember her adventure within. Under the right circumstances, she can visit the Nightopias of those that share this ability to equal extent.
Her strength with Ideya and resonance with the red Ideya of Courage also creates a connection with the rogue Nightmaren known as NiGHTS. She can easily merge with him via Dualizing and her Ideya of Courage allows her to stand up to the darkness of Nightmare.
Her ability as a fully lucid dreamer is a result of her potential with Ideya.
Skills
Helen is able to play the violin at championship levels, despite recent confidence issues. She is also quite good at math.
Personality
Helen is a fairly cheerful girl who always does her best for her friends, being extremely loyal. She is into all sorts of music and enjoys her friends more than anything else. She is faithful and trusting to an absolute fault. She's extremely gullible and her loyalties are on a first come first serve basis.
She's also fairly weak hearted and has low self esteem issues. She believes in her friends far more than herself, and she has trouble standing without someone to lean on. She does come across as annoying, but she does well with pep talks, its just that they don't last long. She'll generally stuff her negative thoughts rather than expressing them.
History
Helen was born in London to two very affluent parents. Her mother was a concert violinist and her father was a businessman. Unfortunately, a plane crash killed him when she was four. Her mother and her moved to Bellbridge a year later, where the former set up a contract with the local theater. Helen grew none the worse for where, making a fair number of friends by the time she was in sixth grade.
It was shortly after she turned 12 that her interest in playing violin had her mother help her get a recital at the theater she worked at. But the melody they'd written together wasn't quite polished, and so the woman insisted Helen practice. The young girl was more interested in hanging out with her friends, though, but it made her feel a little bad for disappointing her mother. These worries eventually prayed on her subconscious enough that they gave her nightmares...
...that she was able to escape with the power of her Ideya. She arrived in a place an owl called the Night Dimension. There she would meet up with a purple jester named NiGHTS. When a similar looking being named Reala took NiGHTS away, she wanted to save him. This show of bravery revealed to "Owl" that she had the only Ideya that could not be stolen by most Nightmaren, the red Ideya of Courage. With this power, she could save NiGHTS! He encouraged her to do so.
Over the next week or so, Helen had many more adventures in the Night Dimension. She would meet a boy in some other dreams and learn that NiGHTS was a Nightmaren, what she was fighting. She chose to work past this because she was his friend. The boy saved her in one dream when the King of Nightmare, Wizeman, managed to take her Red Ideya. Together they worked to free NiGHTS once again and travelled with the 'maren to defeat Wizeman once and for all.
They learned that if they defeated Wizeman, NiGHTS would vanish too because the 'maren was his creation. At first Helen and the boy didn't want to do so, but NiGHTS encouraged them that they had to protect their dreams. They both Dualized with NiGHTS and defeated Wizeman... and NiGHTS faded away as they'd been told he would.
Helen woke in tears, but she was glad they'd been able to save her dreams. She had the violin recital that day, and she ran off to get ready. That night she put on a wonderful performance with her mom. After the recital she and her mom were heading home, and Helen chose to thank her mom by sitting her down and playing a melody that had come from her dreams. It was during playing this that the boy she'd met in her dreams showed up. After a moment of surprise, the two giggled as it began to snow, and she learned his name was William.
They became good friends after that, but a few months back William's father decided to move him overseas. He was a businessman, and it would allow him to spend more time with the boy. Helen and he promised they would always be friends, and they did exchange letters. But Helen really missed him. On top of all that, she began to have trouble with her violin. There were so many people better than her, and her mom had been so busy lately. Her worries and anxieties have begun to pile up, and she hasn't gotten a letter or e-mail from William in a month. It is beginning to drag her towards Nightmare...
Other
Uses both NiGHTS games as canon, although its not clear. She also really likes singer Bella Notte, but has found a lot of her music seems to lack feeling lately.
Her official image is of her when she was 12 and is such out of date for this fanon.
