Full Name: Nina
Nickname(s): No-nonsense Nina, Stiff, Bit**
Age: 18
Height: 5 foot 4
Weight: Not telling
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alliance: Protagonist
Home: Used to be Radiata Castle, now she wanders about.
Franchise: Radiata Stories (To be specific, this version of Nina takes her beyond the 'Non-human ending' of the game, same as Leona. The difference between her and Leona is that this version of Nina stems from another fanfic of mine, though this one has yet to be written.)
Physical Description
Nina normally wears her Royal Radiata Knights armor [see picture below]. However her armor is notably scuffed and damaged upon her arrival to Dimensional Island. Along with the armor, complete with the helmet and plume and the hiking boots, she has short blue hair pulled into two buns behind her head, and light green eyes.
Weapons
A broadsword called a 'Knight Saber', that is standard issue for lower rank Radiata Knights. However, this sword is in notably shabby state for unknown reasons. Nina however has somehow gained a keyblade called the 'Dragon Slayer'; the hilt of said keyblade looks like a Dragon Wing rounded around in a ring, the blade looks to be covered with dark brown dragon scales and the hinge a pair of dragon teeth. The keyblade is decorated even more with a red ribbon serving as the keychain, and the decoration being that of an odd dull grey sphere of stone.
Abilities/Powers
None noted, though the Dragon Slayer may grant a type of magic to her...
Skills
Having been trained in the Radiata Knights, she's a decent swordsman. She's also a decent strategist, having studied military tactics and strategies.
Personality
To put it bluntly, back in the Radiata Knights, she was indifferent and businesslike towards everyone, aside from her idol Natalie. She had few close friends and liked to spend time studying rather then socializing. After the world of Radiata came to an end, Nina has become even more withdrawn, no-nonsense and serious.
History
Due to Nina's minimal amount of storyline based screen time on top of her withdrawn nature, there are few people who actually know where Nina hails from in Radiata (Though some say she originally hailed from Nuevo Village just on the outskirts of Radiata's capital city), nor what she did before she joined the Knights. What can be said however was that when when she tried out for the knights, she passed the Knights Selection Trials with flying colors, and quickly adjusted to the lifestyle of the knights. Being assigned to a trainee brigade, Nina was given all the time needed to better herself in the art of swordsmanship.
Despite being assigned into a brigade, Nina barely socialized with her fellow trainees, or even with any of the other knights as she continued training. She only had one goal in mind; to become the equal of her hero Natalie, the leader of the Violet Chevre [Pronounced; Vio-lay She-vray] brigade. Said Brigade is famous for it's impressive track record of missions completed, and it's service for the kingdom, so needless to say, Nina had a LOT of work to do, before she could compare to the brigade's captain.
One day however, during her training in the knights, she was approached by a young man whom was a member of the recently created Rose Cochon brigade, which consisted of him, the Lady Ridley Silverlake of the renowned Silverlake family, and Ganz Rothschild, (the son of Sir Gawain Rothschild the well known warrior, mediator, the holder of the Crest of the Lion of the West, and the once been leader of the Rouge Lion brigade of the Knights). The young man that approached Nina, introducing himself as Jack Russel (Son of the great knight Cairn Russel, whom was famous for the slaying of the Water Dragon Kelvin), immediately grew interested in training as well, since he had a score to settle with his fellow brigade member Ridley, and asked Nina if he could join her. Nina, of course, refused the invitation, causing Jack to challenge her to a fight. Jack, of course, lost to the girl since she had more experience, but that didn't seem to dissuade future visits from the young man, whom proceeded to grow stronger with each one.
As time went on, Nina found herself actually forming a type of admiration for Jack, despite his otherwise simple personality, and sometimes... very notable stupidity. One day however, the Rose Cochon brigade returned from a mission from the Elf and Nowem regions... and returned with a mortally wounded Ridley Silverlake, a battered Jack and Ganz, and a somewhat peeved Sir Cross Ward, the captain of the Noire Mouton Brigade right behind them. When the report had been given, she quickly heard rumors circulate around the castle about the brigade being attacked by a Blood Orc during their mission, and the leader of the Dark Elves, Lord Nogueira, getting involved in said struggle. Only a day later, Nina decided to try and meet up with Jack in the gym to train some more... ... ... ... When Jack failed to show however, she quickly heard word that, by order of Lord Jasne Colton, Lord Chamberlain of the King, that the Rose Cochon Brigade had been disbanded and Ganz and Jack were fired from the knights...
Several days passed after that, and though Nina is hurt by Jack's dismissal, she decided to put it aside. When Ridley eventually managed to get out of bed, she awoke to find that she was given her own brigade, the Argent Faucon, to which Nina was among the troops assigned to her. However this new assignment did not last long as Ridley suddenly went missing some time later. A day after this disappearance, a war started between the humans of Radiata and the Non-humans of the surrounding regions, after the Light Elves, the instigators of the war, succeeded in taking Fort Helencia, a major Radiata outpost. As the news of the war settled in, Nina began hearing... Disturbing rumors that Jack Russel was the one that took the fort for the Light Elves, and that Ridley Silverlake had been kidnapped by him. Needless to say, these rumors didn't sit right with Nina, whom, taking the Argent Faucon Brigade to which she's the new captain, out to the Cautour region where Jack had last been seen. When she arrived, she quickly found Jack and her previous captain collecting some supplies for the Non-Human side of the war. Despite her best attempts to find out what was going on, Nina and her entire brigade was beaten back.
Badly beaten, the remains of the Argent Faucon Brigade, that is to say a few survivors and Nina, trudged back to Radiata Castle where they proceeded to rest off their wounds... Though Nina's sleep was considerably more troubled then the others...
A day into the war, Nina hears tell of a powerful dragon that had attempted to attack the Radiata capital. Wanting to get back out on the field, she tried to leave the castle and head off to Fire Mountain where Sir Cross of the Noire Mouton brigade had went off to. Succeeding in sneaking out, a long trip followed before, in the Dorse region, she comes across Elwen, the Chief and big boss of the Warrior Guild Theater Vancoor. Nina quickly found herself to be no match against Elwen, but the chief, seeing Nina's resolve, heals her, and allows the knight onward unhindered. Fighting through a few monsters, she found Sir Cross and Jack Russel fighting between each other as the Fire Dragon sat in the background looking greatly injured. After a long fight, Jack went down hard, leaving Cross to challenge the dragon. Enraged, Nina surprised Cross and took him down before he saw what hit him, which caused him to drop an odd looking sphere onto the ground in front of the fire dragon.
As if blinded with rage at the sight of the sphere, the Fire Dragon charged with a roar; Nina, surprised by the move, attacked back in self defense...
As if a god from on high was smiling down on her, her attack proceeded in felling the Fire Dragon... As if said god suddenly spat in her face however, Jack's apparent associate, Sir Gawain reprimanded the girl before quickly carrying Jack away. Cross awoke a little afterwards, and quickly saw Nina nearby, but no dragon to be found. Growling angrily, Cross challenged Nina and threatened to kill her, but more Radiata Knights quickly showed up before Cross could keep the promise.
For a while, Nina was revered as a Dragon Slayer along with Cross Ward, though Cross was less then pleased at sharing the glory. After several more events came and gone, Cross and Nina chased after a silver dragon to the Dysett Region, where Jack was there to greet them...
Other
Two important things; one, NO, the latter half of this history does NOT happen in the game. Nina's role is enlarged in this bio so as to play along not only to the story of the game, but also the story I have in mind for her.
The second thing? In the game, I REALLY don't like the man 'Cross Ward', which is why the story plays along as it does. Call it creative liberty, if you will.
Anyways, the epilouge of the story is that the 'Non-human ending' of Radiata Stories plays out, somehow taking Nina to Dimensional Island just as Leona did. However, she will discover that she has her own keyblade. I know it's a stretch, but hey, I've stretched characters like this before, and Nina will still remain in character despite it.
