Physical Description
N is a tall young man that to a lot of people appears dainty, but he's actually quite in shape if you could see his muscles under his clothes. His tea green hair is long and thick with a fairly unusual style. It's kind of a spiky mess atthe top and is cut so it forms a sort of natural ponytail - which is kind of a mess as well and is comparable to a real tail. It's clean, but it doesn't appear he combs it very often. His eyes are grey with a tinge of blue.
His usual outfit consists of a tight longsleeved black shirt with a high colar. Over it he wears a white shirt that seems a combination of a t-shirt and a business shirt. It has a folded over colar and sleeves that come just past his elbows. He wears slacks that are grey in color and fit a little loosely at the bottom. He has dark tea green velcro shoes with a tea green bottom edge and black soles.
On his left writ he has three square shaped gold bracelets, and on his right he has a tight black bracer like bracelet with reflective silver taking up the outer center. His necklace hangs from a black string and is a a black circle shape with a blue "ring" that makes it look a bit like the planet Saturn. Hanging from the left belt loop of his pants by a silver chain is a green Menger Sponge. He wears a black baseball cap with a grey front.
Personality
N makes a lot of people just want to scoop him up and protect him forever and ever. Despite his age, he acts more like a young child. Up until recently his views of the world were very black and white, but he's is in the middle of a bit of an identity crisis and isn't quite sure about anything's place in the world. He has trouble sticking to any decision he makes and is contantly second guessing himself. He's kind of quite manipulatable at this point, because he's looking for someone that can make things make sense to him.
Regardless of his personality crisis, he does have a kind heart. He is deeply and irrevocably attached to the friends he makes, but he has trouble with making friends with humans. He's kind of naive about social mores and tends to greatly over react to scolding. He needs the support of Reshiram, his dragon companion, to not completely fail in most social situations.

While in his case it is a mundane ability, it's unique enough in his world that it bears mentioning as a power. N can speak to Pokemon, and in the context of the Island, anything with human or near-human intelligence that is for some reason incapable of communicating in human words. In fact, he tends to trust the words of these "animals" more than those of a lot of humans.
Skills
N is kind of completely lacking in the skill department. He seems to have a natural knack for bringing out the potential of Pokemon he's just met, but he really isn't that fond of battles. He will generally only fight if the Pokemon tell him they want to, and that phenomenon still puzzles him.
He'd probably kick your ass at most board games and is really quite good at playground games, though... and then you realize his age and find that it's a little weird.
History
For most of N's life, he can remember his only real companions being Pokemon. When he was very very young, his father Ghetsis brought him an injured Pokemon. Ghetsis told him that humans had done this to the Pokemon, who very much resented the humans for it. Ghetsis would only really show up to his son from that point on to bring him more friends, and the boy wasn't allowed much interaction with any humans. N began to develop an innate understanding of his friends and over time learned to communicate with them. Their hatred of humans spread to him, but not his father, who always encouraged him that there was a way to save his friends.
Fast forward quite a few years and N is seventeen and being crowned the "king" of his father's group, Team Plasma. N had learned through his father that these people wanted to free Pokemon from suffering too and he only had to lead them. He only had to awaken one of the two dragons of Unova legend and utilize their powers to create a world just for Pokemon. A world where humans and Pokemon were seperate as they should be. N went with his father to Accumula Town in Unova and attended a peaceful presentation by Team Plasma, where Ghetsis challeneged people's beliefs about their connections with Pokemon.
N met a girl by the name of White after the speech and challenged her to a Pokemon battle so he could hear her Pokemon. The Pokemon told N that it was happy being with White, which shook N's understanding of the relationship between humans and Pokemon and made him take his leave. He'd run into White several more times on her journey through Unova, where his uncertainty about her relationship with her Pokemon would lead to him revealing more and more, and him getting more and more confused. She seemed a nice person, why couldn't she see what he saw?
Eventually he would acquire the legendary dragon known as Reshiram from the myths. He encouraged White to stop him by acquiring the other dragon, Zekrom - he'd begun to doubt himself and had come to the conclusion that only the person worthy of being the dragon wielding hero in myth would win in a battle between the two dragons. White would succeed in this challenge and end up battling N at the Pokemon League... and her victory would almost break N. How could SHE be the legendary hero?
Ghetsis would show up then and reveal the truth of how he felt about N. N was merely a pawn for subjugating both humans and Pokemon. This did break N, and he could only watch in stunned and broken silence as White fought and eventually defeated Ghetsis. White tried to encourage N after this, and it seemed to help him some. He encouraged her to chase her dreams before bringing Reshiram out and leaving.
He went to a distant land, althogh it wasn't completely missed. The equivalent of the international police in his world caught sight of him with Reshiram. However, shortly after that he seemed to drop off the face of the world... and would end up on Dimensional Island.

Reshiram is really quite powerful thanks to its "engine" tail. As a result, when it attacks it can cut right through any sort of armor. While the opponent can still dodge, no amount of defensive techniques are going to completely block an attack from it. This is how its "Turboblaze" ability manifests

Reshiram is a very calm and logical sort of Pokemon, always thinking through all its actions and analyzing the value of every choice before coming to a final conclusion. It values the truth over silly idealism and can be somewhat cold when it comes to the best course of action. However, N throws a bit of a wrench into its usual ways of thinking. When N awakened it, he did so by claiming to seek the truth. However, the way the boy acts contradicts the words of the time, and Reshiram finds itself opting to protect N rather than dumping him as would be the logical and truthfully sane decision. He speaks to a part of it that it has long lost, and curiousity towards that attachment drives Reshiram's interactions with the boy.
