Personality
As far as the group known as the Wonderbolts go, Soarin' is very laid-back. Well-meaning, if kinda dense at times, he's the guy that you could trust with secrets. Devoted to his team and friends, this is a stallion you can count on.
History
(Gonna do my best here... I see what whoever had Vinyl meant by tricky...) Soarin' was born in Cloudsdale, Equestria, several years before the Mane Six were. He was one of the best fliers in the Junior Speedsters, setting a few records; one of which was only beaten recently (Speed on a basic racecourse, broken by Rainbow Dash when she did her first Sonic Rainboom). Shortly after he graduated from Flight School, he was approached by the Wonderbolts to join their ranks.
He climbed up fairly quickly alongside his school friend, Spitfire. The two are now co-captains of the Wonderbolts. Soarin' has had something of a crush on his fiery companion, ever since, but is extremely nervous about acting on it. At the Grand Galloping Gala, he and Spitfire were mostly occupied with the sponsors and other "Celebronies" that the two had to schmooze with (part of the position, y'know). While he wanted to properly thank Rainbow for saving his and his team's flanks at the Best Young Fliers' competition, he was unable to properly get away and do so.
Other
Soarin' has a huge sweet tooth (more like a mouth full of 'em, Spitfire says) and an extremely high metabolism. He gets hungry after just about any kind of major physical exertion. As stated in his history, he has a crush on Spitfire, but is too nervous to act on it.
