An abnormally short sixteen year old walked into the hotel. He paused and looked out the doors for a second before continuing on. It seemed the pair he had been with were leaving, which he was grateful for.
If it weren't for his hair the teen would have looked less than half what his actual age was, and it would not have been out of the question for someone to under-judge his age because of it. It had an odd star shape to it with a purple outer edge that faded to black in the middle. His bangs were blond and fairly spiky. Oddly, it wasn't the most noticable feature. The upside triangle hanging from a chain around his neck was. It looked to be made of pure gold and was rather intricate.
Yuugi looked around, wondering where the check-in was. He wondered if he should have asked Minato to help him find it.

Interestingly enough, someone who looked very similar to Minato was checking into the hotel himself. A young, blue haired boy wearing headphones was at the front desk, recieving his room's key.
"...Room 242... got it," he mumbled to himself as he wrote his name on the sign in sheet. He didn't seem to notice Yuugi entering the hotel, and if he did, he didn't seem to mind.

Yuugi almost stumbled when he saw the boy. How many people with blue hair were there in this world? Not that he had any room to comment about hair color and design.
If nothing else it had shown him where the desk was. The desk that he could tell he wouldn't be able to see over. Being short was a pain sometimes. He walked over and confirmed the suspicion.
"Excuse me?" he told the blue-haired boy. He wanted to ask if he could get the attention of the person behind the desk.

"Eh?" Keiichi looked down at Yuugi. He seemed rather unconcerned that someone with the world's most extreme example of anime hair ever just walked up to him and wanted to ask him something. Then again, it wasn't like he hadn't seen weirder things lately. "Oh. Yeah? What is it?"

Oh good, he heard me!
"Could you get someone's attention? I'm kind of short. Thanks!" Yuugi was getting used to the world and it was helping him act more natural.
(OOC: Sorry bout the short post. >_> I can't think of anything random for the hotel to do right now.)

"Sure," Keiichi said, and rang the bell. "Hey, do you have a stool or something? There's a kid over here who wants to rent out a room."
The man behind the desk brought over a stool, and Keiichi handed it to Yuugi. "Here."

"Thanks, but I"m not a kid. I'm sixteen," said Yuugi. He had never really understood that his higher pitched voice and size made that claim hard to believe.
He got onto the stool, feeling a little wobbly but thankful he could see over the desk, "How much are the rooms?"
Atem hoped the clerk wouldn't go into a "where are your parents" lecture. It wouldn't have been out of the question.

"You're seriously 16?" K1 asked.
"It's $30 a night, kid," the clerk said. The clerk wasn't really paying attention either.

Yuugi nodded and smiled, "Don't feel bad, lots of people make that mistake."
He opened his pocket carefully. Sure enough, Micheal had given him American money. He was glad he had spent some time in America so he knew how to count it. He pulled out a twenty and a ten and placed them on the counter.
He wasn't making an effort to hide the money. Besides, if anyone were going to rob him they'd probably target the hunk of gold hanging around his neck. It was a wonder it didn't tip Yuugi over.

K1 had noticed that giant swinging hunk of gold and was thinking the same thing. How the heck doesn't that tip him over?
Looking around, he decided it would be best to find his room now, and headed in what he thought was the right direction.

(OOC - As a fan I blame it on supernatural powers. I have a response for Yuugi if your character asks him about it.)
The man behind the counter handed Yuugi the key absentmindedly. It made Yuugi wonder what was distracting him. Atem sensed he was just tired. The key had the room number on it and Yuugi hurried up and signed his name in kanji.
Yuugi thanked the man but was waved away. He slid off the stool and looked at the number attached to the key. 243. He ran to catch up with the other boy, he had seen the room number on his key and knew their rooms were next to each other. He didn't realize the boy was as lost as he was.
"I'm Mutou Yuugi. Looks like we're neighbors for the night," Yuugi smiled as he caught up with the boy.

(OOC: As another fan, I'm going with your explanation. Though it's been a long time since I've read the manga and I never watched the show in the original Japanese.) K1 looked down at Yuugi. "Keiichi Kimura. Just call me K1." After a few more minutes of walking, K1 had to ask. "Okay, how doesn't that tip you over? It looks heavy as heck."

Yuugi looked down at the puzzle. He'd never really thought about it, "Uh, it doesn't feel heavy to me..." he said.
"It's because you're the rightful owner," Atem told Yuugi, although only he could hear.
"I think it might weigh more to you. Its hard to explain..." Yuugi trailed off. It wasn't that hard to explain, but it would require telling K1 about Atem. Who Yuugi sensed didn't want himself revealed unless the person already knew.
(OOC: I've only seen the Japanese show, but I use the wiki and will sometimes combine canon. Like the whole Yami no Game arc DID happen, I don't CARE that the anime restarted. XD)

"It can't be that weird," K1 commented. He basically meant that it couldn't be much weirder of an explanation than "the internet is where demons come from."

Yuugi tried to change the subject, "Where are you from? I'm from Japan."
He'd always believed if you were going to ask for personal information, you should offer first. Never ask for someone's name without an introduction and all that.
Of course, it was then the hotel decided to act weird...
(OOC: Yeah, I'm totally dropping it into your lap. XD)
