Physical Description: Red yoshi with a tattered lab coat and goggles
Weapons: Ty Rano usually lets his genetic creations fight for him, but he possesses a number of acid-based hand projectiles and firearms.
Abilities/Powers: Genius-level intellect
Skills: Ty Rano can build a wide variety of gadgets and weaponry for the persuit of whatever his selfish heart desires. He is also very skilled in genetic experimentation and has made a number of disposable minions (as well as his dragon, Koopastein) with these skills. In the event he is forced to fight by himself without his weapons, he displays the hand-to-hand combat skills of a typical adult male.
Personality: Ty Rano is polite and charasmatic when the situation calls for it, though he also possesses a firey temper when things don't go his way. The superintelligent yoshi is self-centered and highly egotistical, generally considering everyone intellectually below him. However, he can keep such feeling in check when dealing with potentially valuable allies who might be offended by this otherwise.
While Dr. Rano shows none of the cheerful, fun-loving spirit of the typical yoshi, he does adhere to a typical red yoshi diet, such as melons and apples. Also like red yoshis (and most other sub-species of them), Dr. Rano is unable to injest peppers, spikey fruits, or black shy guys, which is good news for Ian Guy. Dr. Rano speaks both Yoshi and English, like the Yoshi, though oddly in a somewhat German accent. He is well studied in a lot of famous individuals such as the so-called Super Mario Brothers, King Bowser and his Koopa Troop, and Ian Guy who had originally hailed to (or so it seemed) Bowser before betraying his general. He has a particular interest in Super Mario Bro Luigi's short-lived evil alter ego, Mr. L.
History: Ty Rano was hatched a native of the famous Yoshi's Island where his gifted intellegence was noticed relatively quickly. He was ostracized from his peers in his youth, not out of jealousy of his superior brain-power, as Rano claims, but because he always had to be so egotistical about it. Leaving Yoshi's Island as a young man, Rano dwelled into the subjects of science and technology. And while he'd learned enough to certainly earn the title, Rano never really recieved formal education, so the "Dr" in his name is actually self-proclaimed.
Coming to live in the Soul Kingdom, Dr. Ty Rano was hired by King and Queen to be the royal scientist. And, while his breakthroughs proved beneficial for the kingdom for some time, he was fired in disgrace when the King found out he'd been performing unusual experiments on a species of the Soul Kingdom called rellos. Exiling himself from the Soul Kingdom in disgust, Dr. Rano continued to intensify his experiments, eventually creating a number of chimeras. The most well-known of these is the massave beast dubbed Koopastein, who serves unconditionally as Dr. Rano's right-hand lackey. Fifteen years later, Dr. Rano returned to the Soul Kingdom, intent on exacting his vengance on the royal family. Fortunately for the Soul Kingdom, he was always foiled by heroes such as the green yoshi Joe T. Melonberry and the black shy guy/goomba duo of Ian Guy and Goomba Joe.
One day, Dr. Rano discovered a portal at allegedly led to a crossroad of dimensions he'd heard much of due to numerous peoples mis/adventures, particularly those of Mario himself. Wanting to study this so-called "Dimensional Island" further, Dr. Rano packed some of his most important essentials and passed through the portal with Koopastein following. At least, that's how it would've been if an interdimensional fluxuation hadn't shut the portal, separating Dr. Rano and his right-hand minion. Nonetheless, the mad yoshi scientist set up shop in Industrial Park and continued his research, biding his time...
Other: Dr. Rano is actually interconnected in a web of Mario universe OCs. Others include Dus T. (my own, whom I may or may not apply for), Princess Victoria of the Soul Kingdom (owned by Noka), Joe T. Melonberry (owned by Daroach), Goomba Joe (owned by Heffy), Ian Guy, and Koopastein (both owned by Darktwo). I'm posting this app without their knowledge, so I separated him from even his dragon when bringing him to Dimensional Island, and I do not expect in the slightest to see any of their characters show up (unless one by chance happens to find this site and discovers I have Dr. Rano applied).
