Physical Description
Elliot is a fairly tall white young man with traces of European descent in his basic appearance. Most people would describe him as tall, although its not the world's most obvious thing. He has obvious lean muscle and its clear he does some form of working out. His skin-tone is average.
He has rather short blue hair that would best be described as a "long buzzcut". Its long enough that if Elliot didn't do anything with it, it would hang down under his own power. However, he generally has it slicked up in some way or another, causing the strands to stick straight up. His eyes are bright and intelligent, and he does seem to be surverying a lot of what's going on. Many would say they are his most attractive quality, making him "hot" to many as opposed to just attractive. They are navy blue in color.
Elliot tends to dress somewhat casually. He'll wear jean shorts and t-shirts most often, opting for standard jeans and coats in the colder months. He tends not to dress in tight clothes, with even his jeans being loser. However, they're almost never faded. He wears tennis shoes with good supports most of the time, no matter what the weather is.
When he's playing a game, he can be seen in his college's basketball uniform. Dark blue with light blue supporting and white accents. He's number 11 on the Mares basketball team. The uniform looks more or less what you'd see in the NBA, with the tank top and shorts combo. His game shoes compliment the uniform.
Weapons
Elliot doesn't generally carry weapons on him, although if he's got a basketball he could probably smash your face in with it when he threw it at you.
Abilities/Powers
Elliot is a somewhat rare individual in that he has a natural inclination towards possessing all five of the building blocks oft he dreamworld Nightopia. These "Ideya" represent Hope, Purity, Intelligence, Growth, and most important, Courage. In the past, they were at full strength, but recently, he has been losing his connection to them.
Put in clearer terms, this means he has the potential to access every aspect of his dream utopia known as Noghtopia and the ability to remember his dreams within. Under the right circumstances, he can visit the Nightopias of those that share this ability to equal extent.
His strength with Ideay and resonance with the red Ideya of Courage also creates a connection with the rogue Nightmaren known as NiGHTS. He can easily merge with the 'maren via Dualizing and is one of only a select few able to destroy the seal on all types of the prisons known as Ideya Palaces.
His ability as a fully lucid dreamer, able to control every aspect of his actions within dreams and even outright effect them, is a result of his potential with Ideya.
Skills
Elliot isn't all that skillful, but the one area he excels in he is something else at. He's really good at basketball, and it's his life's passion. He can play almost any position and seems inherently good at teamwork... although that latter part has been slipping lately.
Personality
Elliot has a bit of an ego on him, and his attempts to reign it in don't always work well. He likes to be in charge of a situation and tends to get a little grumpy when he can't be. He doesn't like rocking the boat, but he hates it when people don't recognize his talent. He reacts poorly to being looked down on.
Despite some of his ego problems, he's pretty decent at seeing the good in people. He's friendly enough in most situations and extends his hand to anyone new he meets. It tends to take a fair bit of evidence for him to think bad of someone, and he almost never dislikes people on first meeting. He's extremely loyal and would never even consider betraying someone.
History
Elliot was born in the city of Twin Seeds and had a fairly normal life growing up. As he grew, the small city exploded in size. He was about eight when the construction of a tower modeled after London's Big Ben began. It was shortly after he turned fifteen when he heard that the tower would be officially finished on the day of Twin Seed's 100th anniversary.
He would learn that same day that the inter-school basketball championships for his state would not only be held on that day, but in his city. His team had been doing really good that year and this was their chance to win the championship on their home turf. He began to train really hard with his team mates and they were doing quite good... until a group of kids from a neighboring city showed up and pretty much wiped the ball court with them. Elliot ran from the court, assuming his friends were ashamed with him.
His anger as he fell asleep led to his dreams quickly becoming nightmares. However, the strength of his dream to be a great basketball player activated his latent Ideya and lead him to one of his Nightopias. The beings that had caused the nightmares, the Nightmaren, chased him. Upon arriving in his Nightopia, they stole most of his Ideya. Even Courage may have gone from Elliot's grasp had he not seen a purple jester trying to flague him down from within a structure. His desire to help the individual caused his Ideya of Courage to shine, repelling the Nightmaren and allowing him to free the jester.
Elliot would find out the jester was named NiGHTS shortly after freeing it. As thanks, NiGHTS helped him explore Nightopia by Dualizing with him and helping him regain his lost Ideya. Over the next several nights, he would learn more about Nightopia. He had to come to terms with NiGHTS being the same sort of creature he'd been fighting with NiGHTS help, and his final decision was to help NiGHTS against the creator of all Nightmare, Wizeman the Wicked.
His adventures would catch Wizeman's attention. Eventually he would need the help of a mysterious pink haired girl and for NiGHTS to Dualize with them both at the same time. With the power of their dreams tehy were able to defeat Wizeman... only to discover it would cost NiGHTS his life as well.
Elliot woke up swearing to not forget NiGHTS. He was almost late for the basketball championship, but managed to show up just in time. He was put straight in and his school was going neck and neck with the school that had the kids that had one upped him and his team mates about a week ago on the court. He drew upon the courage that NiGHTS had shown him and was able to win the championship for his team just before the time ran out.
He was walking home when he heard singing that reminded him of his adventures in Nightopia. He ran into the theater just as the song was ending and discovered that the pink haired girl from his dreams had gotten into a last minute cancellation at the talent contest to be held that night. They introduced themselves and realized that NiGHTS had granted them both the courage they needed.
Elliot and Claris begna to date after that. In their last year of high school, they were able to once again meet NiGHTS together (they had long since realized their memories of him was all that was needed to restore him). NiGHTS was able to help them pull off the Twin Seeds' Christmas celebration without a hitch.
He got a full ride basketball scholarship near the end of the year. Elliot left behind Claris as he went off to college, promising not to forget her. He attempted to contact her a few months later, only to find out that she had moved to New York for a record deal. He was thrilled for her, but bummed he couldn't be there for her.
The problem arose when Elliot's prodigy-like skill on the court began to give him a large head. His team work was slipping and he was developing a bit of a sports star attitude. He still tried to keep his eye open for Claris and discovered a few months ago that she was the singer Bella Notte... but her music just didn't sound like the Claris he knew. Regardless, he told himself he'd attend a performance of hers. However, his continued problems with his dream are pushing him ever deeper into Nightmare...
