Full Name: Shantae
Nicknames: None known.
Age: 16
Height: 4 foot 7
Weight: Not telling
Gender: Female
Race: Half Genie half human
Alliance: Good
Home: Scuttle Town, a portside city in Sequin Land.
Franchise: ‘Shantae’ (A lesser known GBC and GBA game that gained very little popularity since it was made in the days of GBC’s end. It now has a sequel on the Nintendo DS called 'Shantae: Risky's Revenge', and two upcoming sequels known as 'Shantae and the Pirate's Curse' for the 3DS, and 'Shantae: Half Genie Hero' which brings Shantae into the world of the home console release, by coming out on the PS3, Wii-U, PS4, X-Box 360, and Playstation Vita.)
Physical Description: Perky, cute and a beauty in her own right, Shantae is an easy figure to spot with her pointy ears and purple hair which is normally pulled into a pony tail using golden bands, matched with golden loop ear-rings, a gold tiara and a pair of gold arm bands on her forearms. Her skin is usually quite tan, playing off of the Arabic theme of her world, and wears clothes commonly wore by belly dancers; a simple bra-top, harem pants and dance shoes.
Weapons: None. However, due to unknown reasons, her pony tail can be used like a whip, which Shantae can use with maximum efficiency.
Abilities/Powers: Shantae's most natural abilities stem from her Genie heritage, as such she is a magic user and a very adept one at that, who can use a wide variety of magical attacks. Among these is a collection of abilities that seem commonplace in Sequin Land that normal people seem capable of using just as well as Shantae can;
the Fire charm; Often used to light campfires or burn brush by the people in Sequin Land, Shantae can use the charm to shoot out fireballs, or even a single jet of flame like a Flame Thrower.
The Pike Ball Charm; Depending on the amount kii you grant the charm it can create as little as one, or as many as three spheres of magic that orbit the user for an intense defensive spell.
The Storm Puff Charm; A Charm that can summon Unwieldy cloud that can either fire out various lightning bolts or can flat out explode with electrical fury.
However these smaller spells are nothing when compared to Shantae's mainstay technique, the Transformation Dances. Simply put, these dances are magical capabilities Shantae learns from her Genie ancestors that allow her to transform into various forms at will, so long as she quickly performs the needed dance move to do it. Each Dance has it's own form and each form has it's own.
Monkey Dance; As the name implies, Shantae transforms into a monkey upon performing this dance. While in this form, Shantae is much faster and can climb up even sheer cliff-faces. Along with those main abilities, Shantae also has access to the Monkey Bullet ability, which allows the Monkey Form to shoot off of a wall at highspeeds and up to a great distance, perfect for crossing large gaps.
Elephant Dance; Don't let the size fool you, Elephant Shantae may be much slower then the other dances, but it's made up for with sheer power. When the Elephant form charges, it can take out even the sturdiest of enemies such as Golems, and can even blast through boulders. The dance also has the Elephant Stomp ability which allows the Elephant form to jump and then Ground pound sending out a shockwave that can temporarily stun bigger enemies while it can defeat weaker ones.
Spider Form; As freaky as this form is, it has a great deal of uses. As a humanoid Spider, Shantae can traverse across webs or nets with ease and is just as versatile at travel as the Monkey Form. However unlike the Monkey Form, it's secondary ability is known as Spider Venom which let's the Spider Form shoot out bursts of Spider venom for an effective long range attack. It can also spin thread which can sap the stamina out of it's victims and grants it to Shantae herself.
Harpy Form; As the name suggests, this form transforms Shantae into a Harpy, granting her the ability to fly, making it, thus far, the most versatile form of transportation. Along with the ability to fly, the Harpy can also use it's talons for a powerful slashing attack.
Mermaid Form; Introduced in 'Risky's Revenge', the Mermaid Form was the first form that introduced the capability of diving down deep into any body of water without the need to come back up for air, making it essential for underwater segments. The Mermaid also has a secondary ability called the 'Mermaid Bubble' which allows Mermaid Form to create bubbles.... The usage can range from granting someone a temporary pocket of air, or even for Projectile use, allowing her to defeat enemies with bubbles seemingly made of some sort of explosive filament.
Skills: Her attire speaks for itself. She’s a skilled dancer, as well as a fighter. She’s also known for her agility, and, being a half genie, she’s generally good at magic. Along with her transformation dances, she can also make use of various 'Fighters Wear' attachments which help her to fight harder and more effectively (And allows players to use new fighting moves in the first game).
Personality: Naieve, but has a very strong sense of justice, Shantae is a temperamental being that’s quick to anger, but is generally fair. She can be tough when she needs to be. Outside of a fight and her job, Shantae is a kind individual, and a good friend to have.
History: Many years previous to the beginning of her first game, she was found as a baby by one of her first friends, an old inventor named Mimic. Born as a half genie, Shantae was named a real one by the people of Scuttle town, and named it’s guardian genie, once they saw the potential she had in magic. Many years passed with Shantae as the guardian genie, as Shantae grew from a magic strong tot, to a mature young woman.
Years later, Scuttle Town was finally attacked by the dread lady pirate Risky Boots, and her army of robotic pirates called the Tinkerbots. Shantae easily repelled the attack, but not before the Tinkerbots swiped a Steam Engine off of Mimic (Whom had discovered the lost schematics for it in an ancient ruins). Shantae quickly went on a quest to get the steam engine back, while, at the same time, swiping four legendary artifacts that would help the engine run indefinitely before Risky Boots could. At the end of the adventure, Shantae was successful in defeating Risky Boots and destroying her island hideout, and the Steam Engine along with it, leading Mimic to believe that Sequin Land is not yet ready for steampunk technology. Upon turning down an invitation to join the other genies in the astral plane Shantae returned home to Scuttle Town and life resumed as normal.
Other: Shantae arrived in Dimensional Island thanks to the meddling of her nemesis Risky Boots returning, with a new ship and a new attitude. Her ship transformed into a robotic gangplank on giant metal legs, Risky once again attacked Scuttle Town, with Shantae barely keeping her back. Giving chase to Risky, Shantae found herself back on the same island where Risky’s hideout once stood, ready to fight her old rival once more… … … However, a mysterious flash of light, Shantae found herself lightyears away from her beloved Sequin Land and on a mysterious Island in the middle of a void.
