Physical Description: A tiny little creature with short blonde hair, a black cat like nose, and long pointy ears. She is usually seen wearing a mages robe with a black and white stripe design and two gauntlets, two armor boots are often found, and she has intense brown eyes.
Weapons: A Black Mage staff that’s used for magic or batting people upside the head.
Abilities/Powers: Shantotto is a magical legend back where she comes from, with magic that’s almost completely unmatched. So much so that it’s rumored the power once drove her mad with power, and she became an unchallenged empress for a time, until she was finally dethroned.
Skills: Next to magic, she’s a talented teacher, and magical researcher. She’s also known as a ‘Chain Speller’, meaning she’s able to use spells to maximum precision by casting them in quick succession to each other.
Personality: Haughty, high and mighty, and generally full of herself, Shantotto has an ego the size of Cleveland… And she has all the power in the world to back up her claims. Her high pitched laugh is still used for the belittlement of others, and when your opponent is the size of Yoda, this can be quite effective. Quite intelligent, She’s one person you don’t want to get into an argument (Much less a fight) with. Strangely enough, she feels that she should be the only destroyer in existence, and she can be bloodthirsty enough to back up this claim.
History: Shantotto was born a magical genius, or so she claims. Given her rise to fame however, it’s not hard to imagine this to be the truth. Graduating magic academies at an early age, she was soon the Professor of Windurst City’s magic school, where she taught students the key elements of magic. After a few years of teaching, Shantotto soon started to grow bored of it, and left to go on an adventure…
Inadvertedly putting herself on a quest that named her a hero when she returned victorious. Success soon went to Shantotto’s head however and turned her into a bag so full of hot air, that it seems impossible for her small form to hold it. Many times heroes come to challenge Shantotto to a duel, only to walk away battered bruised and charred, and for those that did succeed against her, would find that Shantotto had animated a doll version of herself to fight for her, meaning that they had never challenged the real Shantotto to begin with. Only looking to full-fill requests to further fill her ego, she went on another quest some time later.
That was when something weird happened.
Despite her haughty nature, Shantotto was still, in all cases, a hero, a legend… But, when Shantotto returned from her most recent quest she returned with a new mindset, and a new ambition. Shantotto went mad with power and became a horrible dictator conquering the world within a few days. It was there she revealed how bloodthirsty the experience made her, enslaving most everything in Vana’diel. Fortunately, after a month of rule, she was finally dethroned by a nameless hero, returning the throne to the hands of real royalty.
Shantotto survived the experience, seeming to change her ways…
Other: For some odd reason however, She never changed her attitude, still acting high and mighty, and even showing signs of sadism. Thanks to the experience, Shantotto believes herself to be a kind of destroyer, destined to one day destroy anything that becomes corrupt…
Another thing worth mentioning is that Shantotto always seems to speak in rhyme… No-one really knows why.
