Full Name: Kanata
Nicknames: Demon Dog King Kanata
Age: Unknown (Looks roughly around his early 20's)
Height: 7 foot 3
Weight: 190 pounds
Gender: Male
Race: Demon (When the ritual that was supposed to turn him into a Demon God Gem backfired he was turned from a Demon God King heir to a Demon 'Dog' King instead.) [Funfact: Funnily enough, the 'god to dog pronunciation switch' is every bit as small but noticeable in Japanese as it is in english.]
Alliance: Neutral, but his personality makes him inherently good.
Home: The Netherworld, most specifically the Netherworld's capital Empyria. Basically, the Netherworld is much like the world of Dimensional Clash; An underworld dimension that consists of a collection of continents floating throughout an landscape similar to Outer Space. Random junk, buildings, and all other matters of lost things somehow drift into the Netherworld at some point, before drifting somewhere else.
Franchise: Trinity Universe (A PS3 game that brings together characters from several gaming companies [Nippon Ichi Software, the designers of Disgaea, being one of them]
Physical Description: Kanata is a cheerful looking guy with peach skin, and silver hair. For his attire, he wears an intricate royal looking red robe, with a black shirt underneath it, and light silver blue pants, matched by the two-toed socks, and samurai sandals. He'd look like a normal guy... If not for the fact that he sports a pair of dark grey furred dog ears, and long light silverish dog tail, that has a somewhat bushy look to it.
Weapons: A giant sword with a long handle ended with a heavy looking broadsword blade. This sword can look like just about anything he wants, and can have whatever element needed for the task so long as he has the right Managraph equipped to it.
Abilities/Powers: Kanata is a powerful street fighter, being a demon, with enhanced strength and agility. He also knows some relatively simple magics. He's most skilled at sword combat, and healing magics, making him a dependable fighter and one you can definately count on to stay in a fight long.
Skills: As described earlier, Kanata has a fair boost of agility and strength, due to his demon heritage.
Personality: Kanata is a cheerful, peppy, and adventurous soul who values freedom more then anything else. He LOVES Adventure down to the very idea of it, though cherishes the thought not due to what he may gain, but due to the experience itself. Though Kanata has some degree of intelligence, it's relative that his now half-dogginess has affected him beyond outward appearances; Kanata's newly gained bestial instincts give him something of a one-track mind, and he can immediately forget something important to chase anything else that passes his fancy (Though he still knows how to prioritize). Kanata cherishes friends, to the point that this trait even passes on to his rivals; Kanata is simply always looking for ways to better himself, and see's rivals as a fun distraction to make himself stronger. Due to this, he rarely bears any actual ill-will towards his enemies. Innocent and dumb as his demeanor is though, Kanata still holds fast to a type of sense of right-and-wrong, and CAN show ill-will if otherwise provoked.
History: As a child, Kanata had lived an extremely sheltered life in the palace of Empyria, learning only the bare essentials from tutors and the like. The only true friend he had back in those days was a fox demon known as Tsubaki, a young woman with an unchallenged faith in the royal family of the Netherworld, Kanata's parents. The Netherworld, as was explained, has a history of random garbage and even worlds somehow 'drifting' into the world; some of these objects were bigger then others, and often threatened to crash into the floating continent. To prevent this, several generations of Demon God King's transformed themselves into Demon God gems, powerful relics that cast a barrier around Empyria, and prevented the garbage from destroying everything. Kanata was next in line to become a Demon God Gem himself, thus why his parents had him live a sheltered life in the palace, keeping him from gaining friends, or living a real life, no use giving Kanata such a luxury since it would end before it could truely begin.
When the day came that Kanata came of age, he was soon prepped for the ritual... However one of the priest's responsible for the ritual somehow botched the ritual itself. Instead of turning him from a Demon God King into Demon God Gem, it instead transmuted him from a Demon God King into a Demon DOG King. When the Priests and the Royal family realized something had happened, they immediately imprisoned Kanata when he tried to make a get away, to figure out what had happened.
The following night, Kanata somehow escaped his imprisonment and elluded his pursuers before finding himself in the city of Empyria outside the castle. Once there, he met up with his vassal Tsubaki, whom informs him that she had been responsible for his escape, and wanted the young prince to live an actual life for a change; a notion that was more then giddily accepted by Kanata. After that, he and Tsubaki had a myriad of adventures around Empyria, preventing the drifting objects from colliding with the city; many times this meant a building or dungeon, satisfying Kanata's adventurous urges everytime they came up. During his adventures, he meets many characters, from the scheming Etna (Disgaea) and her Prinny Squad, to a soon to be good friend Rizelea.
Other: During Kanata's many adventures, he managed to destroy yet another Gravity core, causing yet ANOTHER dungeon to be sent flying away from Empyria...
What was so different this time?
A skeleton warrior he and Tsubaki had to fight on their way out was easily dispatched... But a misplaced bone caught Kanata's attention, and before Tsubaki or the others could catch him, he disappeared into the dungeon, before they quickly made an escape, when a lurker monster forced them out. Before it could turn it's attention onto Kanata however the dungeon had drifted out of the Netherworlds... And into a gigantic crash in a new world.
As is typical for JRPG characters, Kanata survived...
And it looks like he has a brand new world to explore... His first words upon seeing this new world?
"WOW!! SO COOL! Time for some more adventures!!"
..... Oooooh, boy...
