Physical Description
Twilight is a purplish pony with dark purple mane and tale (So dark it's almost dark blue) both with a pinkish purple streak going down and along the right side near the edge. She has a notable unicorn horn on her forehead, and has an odd cutie mark that resembles a red 8 pointed star with a few tiny white stars circling around the red one positioned on her flank.

None. Really she doesn't need em for two specific reasons.
Abilities/Powers
One of these reasons is that Twilight is a VERY powerful unicorn, that knows almost more magic then any normal unicorn in Canterlot. Her raw magical ability is nothing short of extraordinary, and it showed even as a filly at an early age. Her magic is so versatile and powerful, that it's little wonder why she was 'saddled' with the 'Element of Magic', one of the six 'Elements of Harmony'. Among these magics is the ability to teleport along with several other small skills.
Skills
It pretty much goes without saying that Twilight Sparkle is one of THE most organized ponies in all of Ponyville; in fact, her organization skills greatly came in handy during the 'Winter Wrap-up'. Many of Twilight's other skills only came about when she reads about them in her books (Such as the info she used for the 'Running of the Leaves' event in Ponyville. Despite this, she has very few actually note-worthy skills.
Personality
Unlike a good majority of her friends, Twilight Sparkle is mostly an indoors pony, spending her time studying magic or reading books in her library home. She does get out of her house from time to time however, mostly to visit said friends for various occasions, meetings or others. Calling Twilight socially withdrawn would really be a good way to describe her as she is still unfamiliar with a couple of everyday nuances, though thanks to her books, she has learned a great deal in her year of living out in Ponyville. It's due to this characteristic, that many people see Twilight as having a mild form of Autism called, in the real world, 'Asperger Syndrome' (A form of autism that this author happens to have himself.). While Twilight is normally humble and always willing to learn, she can also be impatient or even temperamental when something doesn't go how she wants it to go. She's also a bit of a stickler for rules and regulations, and even once drove herself to insanity when she was on the verge of missing an important deadline.
History
Twilight was a very young filly, on the fateful day she the 'Summer Sun Celebration', an important event in Canterlot where the benevolent (If not somewhat mischievous) Princess Celestia would raise the sun on a brand new summer season, heralding in the year to come. In fact, it was Princess Celestia's impressive display of magic that inspired Twilight to start studying magic herself. Within a few short months, Twilight succeeded in reading every book on magic in her family's home library. Greatly impressed, her parents decided to grant Twilight her dreams by enrolling her in Princess Celestial's School for Gifted Unicorns.
Though at first excited, Twilight's excitement quickly diminished when she found out she had to pass an entry exam to get into the academy. Despite moral support by her parents, Twilight was unable to summon her magic to complete the test (which would have been a simple matter as using telepathic magic to rock a simple egg back and forth until a dragon hatched from it). Just as she was about to consider herself failed...
A powerful explosion suddenly sounded somewhere far off near the city of Cloudsdale. Said explosion, the Sonic Rainboom caused by Rainbow Dash the day of her big race, startled and frightened Twilight so badly it accidentally awakened her hidden potential for magic. She not only hatched the dragon egg within the span of a second, her magic went chaotic, levitating the teachers, turning her parents into potted plants, and transforming the baby dragon into a fully grown dragon within seconds. Not a soul lives that knows what would have likely happened if Princess Celestia had not stepped in, having felt the sudden burst of magic and went to investigate. Instead of disciplining the young pony for her lack of control however, Celestia appointed Twilight as her new personal student, so that she could help her master the raw power she had.
And thus with her new status, her newly made Cutie Mark, and taking on the baby dragon, which she affectionately named Spike in later years, as her assistant, Twilight Sparkle proceeded into years of study of magic, the history of Equestria and various other studies, growing up over the years.
One day however, on the day of the Summer Sun Celebration 12 or so years after Twilight was enrolled into the school, she suddenly noticed an odd portion in the text that spoke of the coming of a monster known as Nightmare Moon supposedly escaping banishment on the coming Summer Sun Celebration, prompting Twilight to investigate and send a letter out to Celestia. Instead of heeding her protoge's words however, Celestia ordered Twilight to go to Ponyville and overlook preparations for the coming celebration, as well as make a few friends while there.
While she does the former, Twilight promptly ignores the latter, saying that 'The Fate of the World does not depend on her making friends'. However, in a twist of fate, destiny proved her wrong in the events that followed. After encountering Nightmare Moon at the Summer Sun Celebration, whom promptly throws the world into eternal darkness, Twilight went on an adventure to find the Elements of Harmony. However, she was tailed by fellow ponies, Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie, whom had come to partake in the perilous journey along with her. Many trials came and passed and Twilight soon made friends with the ponies. The confrontation with Nightmare Moon was quite unexpected for the unicorn as she discovers what the Elements of Harmony truely represent, and comes to understand why Celestia had told her to make friends. Nightmare Moon's defeat after the discovery was quick and spectacular, and the Nightmarish mare transformed back into her original form; that of Celestia's sister Princess Luna. Though it was tough going at first, the people soon forgave Luna of her tresspasses, and allowed her back into society, with Celestia's help.
Twilight, believing her job to be done, quickly realizes that she may return to Canterlot due to such. However, Celestia kindly assigned Twilight the job of staying in Ponyville with her friends and studying the magic of Friendship, a job that the unicorn eagerly accepted.
Many many misadventures followed that fateful day, with Twilight learning more and more on friendship from her Ponyville friends.
Other
It has been many months since the Nightmare Night incident, and Twilight realizes that Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and her beloved little brother figure Spike has somehow or another gone missing. Being the person she is, Twilight tries her best to locate her friends but thus far comes up empty on every attempt.
As she stays in Ponyville, looking through her books for a new solution, she only hopes she finds one soon.
