Nina looked to the two seeming quite confused... But, if this keyblade didn't choose people based on whether they had pure hearts... What did it judge people by exactly? She wasn't sure, and the more she thought about it, the more her head hurt.
"And that's another thing..." She said with a groan. "I didn't mean to get mixed up in all of this. Just today I woke up in this mysterious land, this keyblade in hand, and just found myself attacked by demons..." She lowered her head. "Then, sir Gantz and his friends came around and helped me back to my feet... I am indebted to him... In all of you." ......... A few moments passed before she shook her head. "I've decided."
She looked to the two with a tilted head. "I've reached a decision... I don't know what I'm going to do, now that I'm here on this island, but... I will travel with you and your friends to help Jaron until I feel my debt is repaid..." She looked away. "After that, I guess I'll go my own way... I have to see if anyone from my world is here... Maybe if there's a survivor, he or she can tell me what happened..."
And who knows?
She might even find HIM here.
----------------------------------------------------------
By that time, Gantz and Rosaline had moved to the couch, where Gantz was once again, trying Tarosuke's cell-phone number one more time. Though it looked like the more he tried the more worried he got since the kid just refused to answer his phone. Rose sat next to him, getting quite concerned herself. Red sat between them equally worried, whilst Metal Sonic sat at the desk, reading a book.
When Max knocked, Gantz turned to the door after hanging up his phone for the upteenth time; still no word from Tarosuke. "Come on in man. Door's open."

"We really didn't do anything to help you, though," Kaitlin pointed out. "But I really appreciate this."
"Same," A.J. added. "Here's hoping we get through this alive."
"Oh, come on, we're definitely going to survive," Kaitlin scoffed. "We've handled evil overlords, mad scientists, and all sorts of things that would make Hannibal Lecter beg for his momma. Not to mention the dimensional shenanigans. We can deal with whatever Kavma or Zero throw at us."
"What if they throw Morgan Freeman at us?"
"Then--" Kaitlin stopped and threw a tea cozy at him.
Max stepped into the room, James and Erin following him. "I just went to see Wally and the others. He's...he's still out of it."
He noticed Gantz's phone. "I thought the phones didn't work. Who are you calling?"
Meanwhile, Erin ran over to Red and looked up at her curiously. "Vee?"
She hated seeing people look so depressed like this. If only she could actually DO something...

Gantz looked to Max and held up his cell. "Don't know where you got that idea... But it might explain why Tarosuke hasn't been picking up."
When Max gave him the confused expression, all Gantz did was shake his head. Rose, in turn, answered. "We've been trying to get a hold of Tarosuke for the past few minutes... I think this was the... 6th time you've tried to call Tarosuke?"
"Lucky number 7... Though I doubt luck is going to help in this case." came Soul Calibur's weilder as he tried for said lucky number 7 and, after a few rings, he apparently got the answering machine causing him to put away the phone. "And of course..." He shook his head. "Something's happened to Tarosuke... Their's no other explanation."
"Why are you concerned for him anyways?" Gantz didn't look too thankful for Soul's interruption. "He is a demon. And as far as demons may go, he wasn't all that good a person. He tries, yes of course, but if he's anything else, he's a greedy little thing."
There was a silence before Gantz looked down to Soul. "Taro may NOT be the nicest of guys. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned with what happened to him." He stands up. "Sides. Tarosuke has some good in him... Somewhere..."

Max didn't know this Tarosuke, but the thought of someone outside who could help him certainly got his hopes up--
And of course the fact that they couldn't call him brought them down instantly.
He sat down in a spare chair despondently. Come on, think...
"Well, if he's as good of a guy as you say, I'm sure he'll find out what's happened and will try to help us out," he said optimistically.
"Unless Kavma finds him and locks him up too."
He facepalmed. "James..."
"Sorry."
"I want every single man and woman outside the church to grab Zero if he attempts to escape. Remember that he needs to be captured alive, people, so no lethal force!"
In the church...
The secret man stood at the back of the room, checking a ticking stopwatch.
Without turning his head, he spoke. "You have three, maybe two minutes. Starting...now."
The other who had been in there with him vanished...

Gantz considered this with a shake of his head. "If Kavma got his hands on Taro we would've known by now." Pacing wasn't something Gantz normally did; he normally only did it when he was nervous. This situation however, clearly called for it. "The only other thing I can imagine he'd be doing is having fun at a bar... But I know him, he knows when it's time to be serious, and this certainly counts as one of those times."
As Gantz paced around a bit, Metal raised a hand to catch attention to himself. "If I may?" The robot lifted a book up upon lowering his hand. "I think I may have an idea. It's a bit of a long shot, but it's worth a try."
The group quickly made their way to Metal and looked at what he was referring to...
-------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile upstairs................
.....................................
All had been quiet until Wally suddenly lifted his head.
Otto took notice of this. "... Wally? Are you okay?"
The lightbender turned to his friend, looking confused... "Didn't you feel that?"

It was about ten seconds before Max, Erin, and James spoke at once.
"What IS that?"
James suddenly shivered. "Ghh..."
"What's wrong?" Erin asked.
"Can't you feel it?"
A.J. looked up sharply. "What was that?"
"What was what?" Kaitlin asked.
He frowned. "Thought I felt something..."
Kaitlin looked around. "...you sure?"
A.J. stood up. "I'm going to talk to Gantz."
Three...two...one...
The church doors were thrown aside as Evan ran into the church. "Okay, Zero, put your--"
He stopped. "Dammit."
Wilhelm Strahl stood at the pulpit like some demented minister. "Hello ladies."
The doors slammed shut before Evan could react.
Three minutes. Make 'em count.

Metal had been JUST about to mention what his idea was when an odd energy suddenly pierced the air, completely catching everyone's attention.
2 minutes...
"What the-?!?!?"
The group looked up from their book to see a huge sphere of purple and black energy speeding towards them, expanding outwards.
The bunch was vaguely aware of a bunch of crashing noises, and shattering glass...
---------------------------------------------------------
Upstairs there was another blast of energy....
Before Gene and Lilia retreated from their room, Gene looking absolutely horrified, and Lilia sweating immensely. "That... THAT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN!!!" Gene was yelling in surprise, his expression wide and insane out of horror and surprise.
Lilia meanwhile, apparently haven given up and figured they'd have to settle in for the night was now dressed in a light blue and light pink night gown, looked equally horrified herself. "Are you asking me that?!?! I'm as surprised as you are!!!"
"HEEEELP!!!!!" Wally ran out of his room... Before a powerful suction started from the door which, Gene and Lilia noticed with horror, was completely covered with the same dark energy that they had seen in their room. "Help me Yin!! Help me Maaaaaaaaa-" The word 'mates' was cut off when Wally was sucked in.
"WALLY!!!" Gene couldn't even rush after him before another sphere of black energy appeared and expanded out, catching him and Lilia too.
Two minutes he said...
......................................
..........................................................
.............................................................................
This wouldn't even take 30 seconds.

The shrieks from upstairs instantly grabbed their attention. "Oh for heaven's sake, what now?" Kaitlin demanded. They ran out into the hallway.
"I just hope it's nothing ma--" A.J. began. What he saw in the hallway stopped him instantly. "WHAT THE?!!"
Cue the dark void portal of death.
"BACK BACK BACK!!!!"
After they retreated back into the dining room, A.J. barricaded the door with a chair.
Kaitlin leaned against the table, panting, eyes wide in panic. "No. No, that was NOT..."
"What? What is it?" A.J. asked.
Kaitlin shook her head. "Just...nevermind. I am going to MURDER Kavma for this."
Max stumbled backwards to shock as the void approached. "Oh no no no no NO--"
He took out his Pokeballs and recalled both James and Erin without hesitation. "Return, both of you--"
Both balls were torn from his grasp as they were sucked in by the portal.
"NO!"
Without any regard to the other's reactions, he dove into the portal after them...
Meanwhile...
Wilhelm sat behind a pew and reloaded as Evan approached. To say that Kavma's right hand man was unhappy was a MAJOR understatement.
"You have NO idea what you're doing, little man!"
"Good, that makes both of us," Wilhelm quipped. "With a pair of lunkheads like us put together we'll certainly get back on track, won't we?"
He stood up, turned, and fired at Evan just before he could raise his weapon.

Nina looked absolutely horrified as the group baricaded the door, before they all backed away. Nina had her keyblade at the ready, but her hands were notably trembling. Never before had she seen something like this... "W-what was that?!?" As the bunch backed away however, Nina, even if she was aura blind, felt another spike of energy... When she turned, she found another sphere of black energy floating right behind them. "Uh... Guys?" The sphere stretched outward catching and sucking in Nina before she could run. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ----------------------------------------------------------- "MAX!!!" There was an air of panic as the portal quickly approached Gantz and the others. Panic abounded even more when Max jumped into the portal. "Hang on Max!!! We're comin'!!!!" ' ' was VERY apparent in Metal's visors. "Not like we have a choice!!!!" Gantz, Rose and Metal was sucked in before they could see what was happening.... ---------------------------------------------------- "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!" The Climber could be seen running around in a panic as the sphere upstairs spread upstairs before starting to engulf. "Ferris Wheel!!!! What is this ANYWAY-?!?!? At that moment, a big purple hand shot out of the portal and grabbed Climber, causing a small Squeak to echo out of him like a rubber ducky. "... MEP.." The Climber went down screaming and clawing at the floor desperately.

"NINA!!!"
Kaitlin reached out to grab her, only for A.J. to grab her and drag her back. "What are you doing?!
"You want to be next?! Come on!"
He turned to the door and kicked it open.
It was only then that he remembered there was also another portal in the hallway.
"A.J...."
"Yeah, I know, you can punch me later."
"ARGH!"
There was a loud crash as Wilhelm was thrown into the pews. Evan cracked his knuckles.
"Cah...Kavma knows how to pick 'em, eh?" Wilhem coughed as he clambered back up.
"Spare me," Evan snarled. "How the hell did you trick us?"
Wilhelm smirked and held up what looked like a small case. Evan blinked at it, not understanding.
And THEN cold realization hit him. "Where the--"
"You think I wouldn't just stick around? I wound up following Scooby Doo and his gang on their way to your restaurant and they dropped this. One visit with my new friend and bam--Zero's essence cranked up so you goons could pick it up none the wiser."
New friend?! "But...why?" Evan demanded. "We gave you your money, so--"
"You didn't nearly pay me enough."
BANG!
Evan ducked. The bullet buried itself in the wall a mere few inches where he head was. "Not ENOUGH?!"
"Hey, unlike you, Lord Autumn," said Wilhelm, causally ejecting some bullet casings, "I have high standards. Then again, your Superior is a bitch."
I KNEW we shouldn't have let Nabaat handle his paycheck, Evan thought angrily.
Wait.
"This is a setup."
Wilhelm raised an eyebrow. "Yes. I believe that's obvious."
"Then--" Horror hit him instantly. "Dammit, the whole mansion's--" He took out his radio and screamed into it, "EVERYONE BACK TO THE MANSION NOW!!!!!!"
"Captian? what about y--"
"NOW, DAMMIT, NOW!!!"

A.J. and Kaitlin were sucked into the portals before they even had the proper chance to react, beyond saying those lines. But even if they had time it wouldn't have mattered, the sphere's had them completely surrounded.
Within a few more seconds, the spheres had engulfed every inch of the inside of the house, sucking in everything with it.........
Before they all shrunk down, flew through the house and gathered together in one spot, forming a single ball of pure void. A moment after that, the sphere vanished from the house...
Nothing remained in the house either. Everything that wasn't nailed down had been taken, glass was shattered here there and everywhere... But perhaps the most prevalent factor notable was that no-one was present in the house anymore...
They were completely and utterly gone.

One Hour Later...
To say that the house had been trashed would've been an understatement for sure. The building along with the surrounding area was searched, scanned, and turned over several times.
No need to guess how successful THAT went.
Evan stumbled into the foyer carrying Wilhelm's unconscious body over his shoulder just as the search team was finishing up. He raised a hand to shut them up, then handed Wilhelm over to one of the workmen. "Bring him back to the Regnum Dei for questioning," he said quietly.
As Wilhelm was carried away, he turned to another workman. "What happened?"
"We've checked the house, and it looks like someone opened a large number of void portals in the building."
"Anyone we know?"
"We're still looking into it."
"Where's Nabaat? Has she been notified about this?"
"We haven't been able to contact her yet."
Why does that not surprise me in the least? Evan sighed. "Dammit. Someone get me a radio, Kavma needs to know about this if he hasn't been notified already. And for heaven's sake, have someone organised a search party! More than one!"
North Mountains
Kavma sat with his head resting on his arms as he surveyed the landscape below him. He paid no attention to the snow being blown into his face.
He had to admit, he was not entirely fond of this island. The inhabitants, for one, irked him somewhat. The fact that the entire landmass still hadn't been blown apart yet was, to him, a miracle.
And there was the Mother Gospel to consider.
The thought of actually finding it frightened him greatly. Not because of the object itself, but what it meant to him.
Speaking of which... Kavma produced a pair of binoculars and peered at the Crystal Lake below.
He supposed he saw it coming. Get Jaron, Kaitlin and Max into the picture and the 'unofficial' member of their little group wouldn't be too far behind.
There was no denying it: The boy made him terribly uncomfortable, for a variety of reasons. He actually dreaded meeting him face to face again, especially after what he had put him through last time.
Maybe he could avoid it together?
"Who am I kidding," he muttered. "It's practically inevitable. Even if I do nothing, he'll just try to follow. If there's one thing he's learned from those others, it's being persistent."
Some thought that Kavma had it easy, being such a powerful being and head of the Crystal Room to boot.
They were wrong.
Oh, how they were wrong.
