Full Name: Aaron Colvard
Nickname(s): Alex, the Thief, Thief of Void, GG, the Nothing,
Age: 20 (Was 18 during game but spent two years wandering Paradox Space with Lizzie.)
Height: 5’10
Weight: 198 lbs.
Gender: Male
Race: Male
Alliance: Lawful Neutral (does his best to do good by himself and by others.)
Home: Has no one home. Formerly Oklahoma, then formerly LOAAC (The Land of Alloy and Cadavers which is a massive planet filled to the brim with craggy cliffs, sheer mountainous rock faces, with crystal collumns litering the landscape. The Landscape was also formerly inhabited by zombies, albeit helpful zombies that related to Aaron's player quest.)
Franchise: DCStuck
Physical Description
When he first began his game in DCstuck, he was a normal looking young man with black hair, slicked down in the front yet spikey in the back, wearing a light blue shirt with a dark blue 'Star' symbol on the front (Symbolic of his fandom for Steven Universe), black shorts with a red belt, and black shoes, topped with a cross necklace...
Now adays however, he wears tattered old light blue ninja-like robes, which consists of a light blue vest, dark blue sleeves connected to a zip-up shirt under the vest, a black belt, really dark blue shorts with long light silver boots that reaches his ankles, sleeveless gloves with bandages wrapped around his arms, and the vest topped with a piece of cloth rounding around his muzzle and the bottom of the back of his head. Said robes are in mostly good condition save for the right sleeve which is ripped off in a manner similar to a no sleeved shirt. The 'Void' symbol is imprinted on the chest of the vest of the robes.
Along with that, he has several other changes of clothes that serve as his alternate costumes. One of these look similar to the clothes worn by Final Fantasy 13-2 character Noel Kreiss, while the other looks like the clothes worn by Bartz Klauser in his Wayfarer's jobclass. You can see both below.
Weapons
1 weaponkind is with this mini-god
Primary
racketKind - Inspired by the weapons of the Selkie Race from ‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles’, Rackets are wooden or metal clubs that are roughly shaped like tennis rackets with longer handles (Ironic since this Kind started with Tennis rackets before Alex added a bo-staff to the mix). After a long series of adventures, he has a collection of powerful rackets at his disposal.
-Dreamcatcher; a celtic looking silver and goldish racket with a moon insignia in the center. While not Alex’s first weapon, the Dreamcatcher was created by taking that first weapon and reforging it with other rare metals from around his planet. Due to this, the Dream Catcher is his go to weapon more often then not. He often dual wields Dreamcatcher and the Ultima Maul, but if he should pick between the two for a single weapon, Dreamcatcher is the one he'd go with.
- Ultima Maul; Physically the strongest weapon in Alex’s collection, it’s a highly decorative weapon that’s colored purple and gold and decorated with a number of runes; a decoration that Alex’s server installed to further increase the spiritual power output of the weapon. Even holding it, boosts Alex’s void powers by a margin 0f 40%.
-Prism Bludgeon; A more experimental weapon then anything else, Alex created the Prism Bludgeon to create something akin to a Mirror Shield weapon that he could use as an alternate light source on his world. The Prism Bludgeon is especially useful against many of the shadow themed monsters that lived on LoAaC and it continues to have its more odd uses as time goes on.
[Basically looks like the Ultima Maul but made of pure crystal, like the crystals around LOAAC.]
Abilities/Powers
Being a God-Tier, Alex's Thief of Void Powers are thoroughly apparent. As the name suggests, he has the power to steal the void off of people with it... But what does that entail you may ask?
Well, the Thief of Void is capable of stealing the void, or nothingness off of people; doing as such gives makes them much more noticeable to other people, no matter whether they be friend or foe. In otherwords, the Thief of Void is capable of stealing Anonymity. When he steals enough off of one person, said person becomes so noticeable, that he or she becomes the most sought after person in the game. Meanwhile, if the thief of Void steals enough anonymity for himself, he becomes invisible to even the most omniscient figure in the game of Sburb. It is with this Anonymity that the Thief of Void has earned the 'Ninja of DC' petname shared between him and his companions.
However, the Thief can also plant his void on another person or thing. For example, if he should place a certain amount of void into any one person, said person becomes as invisible and anonymous as a hero of Void themselves... However, as their is a certain amount of void that the thief can steal before a situation can become dire, their's also a certain amount that the thief can give. As the thief is the hero of Void, he is the only one in his session who can safely use the void, others who possess too much void become so anonymous that others forget about their companions existence. It is only when the void is taken away again that those will remember the non hero of Void once more.
Along with this admittably abstract power, Alex has control over the void as well in certain aspects, suching as using a tiny pocket dimension of void that he keeps by his side as a makeshift Captchalogue. All he needs to do is imagine the item he needs, send a non-verbal order to the pocket dimension and the item produces itself in a hurry. It can be noted that he can also use his powers to actually steal enemies as well, sending them to THE void; a piece of null space far far far away from the universe they are in, but is still close in some fashion. Unfortunately however, this power only works if you can trick the enemy into a portal or capture them.
Along with abilities centered around storing things within the void and taking them out at leisure, Aaron will also, very soon, discover a power that allows him to TAKE items using the void.
In the official Homestuck canon storyline, it has recently been revealed via current events that Roxy, a Rogue of Void, is capable of seemingly creating items out of thin air by stealing void from the universe, technically CREATING it in some cases (Which is proven when she seems to make several Matriorbs for the Condesce). Much like Roxy, Aaron can also seemingly create items in a similar fashion, but there is one big notable difference.
Instead of seemingly creating the item, the item has to exist before hand, so that it can be effectively 'Stolen' from an existing space. By this logic, Aaron could steal the whole of Fort Knox, a collection of books or movies or even smaller items, even if they existed on an entirely different world or if it existed on the other side of the planet. That is just the long distance abilities however. At short distances, Alex can perform thieving acts remniscient of a master pickpocket, and can expertly avoid suspicion by putting the stolen items into his his Void Modus.
Along with these prime abilities, Aaron also has access to three Fray-motif's of powerful force.
EDIT; HE HAS LEARNED HOWEVER that each and every single Fraymotif actually can have a secondary, more complex and much more powerful applications. When he brings it up with his friends, he compares these applications to the Bros Attacks of Mario and Luigi; Super Star Saga, which have powerful first time usage but CAN be improved via hidden button presses, activating 'ADVANCED!! Bros attacks'. He has since then called his new attacks 'Advanced Fray Motifs', which are essentially retooled and slightly more powerful ways to use his existing attacks.
Shatterpoint: Called 'Armament Almagest' by Aaron out of preference. An offensive attack that allows my character to phase his weapons into void portals, and, through a series of portals around the enemy, cause them to rocket and ricochet from portal to portal. It's a particularly fast and powerful move since it's difficult to dodge the weapons.
'ADVANCED!! Shatterpoint' Warring Ostinato: Using newly found control of the void, Alex can transform the portals of Shatterpoint into bubbles of void energy containing negative matter, crafting them into the exact shape of himself, effectively creating powerful shadow clones wielding his excess of weapons against enemeies. This attack is at it's strongest when there's an excess of weapons and, thus, an excess of clones that can fight independently based on mental projections casted by Alex himself.
Whispers in the Dark: A powerful move where the Thief of Void casts an enemy inside a pocket dimension of void and promptly smashes it with the enemy still inside it. This attack can be repeated to great effect. Psychological damage can also be incurred from this attack, as, often, the horror-terrors can be heard from inside the pocket Dimension.
'ADVANCED!! Whispers in the Dark' Nightmare Unison:(Not yet unlocked) With complete mastery of the void, Alex's normally singular targeted Whispers in the Dark become a powerful vortex reminiscent of Edward D. Teach's (AKA Captain Blackbeard's) Powerful Yami Yami No Mi attack 'Blackhole'. When using this attack, Alex creates a powerful Void portal that can suck up most everything within an area as large as he pleases. The sheer pressure within the portal can crush concrete, and to complete the attack, he takes another page from Blackbeard's book via the 'Liberation technique', and shoot out everything he sucked in at other targets. Normally at high speeds.
Scale Breaker: Perhaps the most powerful Fray-Motif at the Thief's disposal. If used properly, it's capable of taking down powerful enemies, or at least gravely weakening them with one shot. Similar to the Pokemon move 'Foul Play', it allows the Thief to take the attack power and strength of the Opponent and effectively turn it against him. However, the cost for this move is that it must be done PRECISELY. The aim must be precise and near perfect, similar to a Sniper Rifle shot.
'ADVANCED!! Scale Breaker' Nocturne of Shadow:(Not yet unlocked) If you thought Scale Breaker was broken before, just wait until you see this. As is typical with both ADVANCED!! Fraymotifs and indeed the utterly broken nature of many of the attacks in Sburb, this attack takes an already dangerous fraymotif and doubles it's usage exponentially. The only real upgrade to the technique is the addition of a Void out before it's usage, allowing Alex to turn a very obvious Close quarter Weakpoint slam into a Stealth Kill Technique. Only those with especially apparent eyes, and unique abilities, such as Arti's powerful Light capabilities, are capable of seeing through it or blocking it.
As is the case with all Homestuck Godtiers, he also has the power to fly, and cannot be permanently killed unless the death is either 'Heroic' or 'Just'.
Skills
Alex is a very skilled video gamer, practically an addict. Not only that, but if you challenge him to a quiz regarding Final Fantasy Knowledge, he will win. He is simply the best there is.
[That was meant to be a joke, so don't hold me to that.] Being a fan of RPG games, he has treated his past situation like one of his RPG's and excelled due to it, even going so far as level-grinding. It is due to this that he was the first of his group to god-tier.
In this new continuity, Alex has also had some time to practice other unique skills outside of the moveset of the typical Thief of Void, practicing with his skills to such an extent that he has can actually directly interact with the void itself, using it as a means of fast travel to any point that he so wishes. More then that however, Alex can now interact with anyone trapped within the void, and can use his powers to temporarily free them, creating the closest thing to summoning charms that Sburb has yet seen.
Personality
The Beginning - Usually, Alex is a shy and unsure person, with very little confidence in his own fighting capabilities. When in his comfort zone, he is snarky, sarcastic, and generally something of a smart-ass... But despite that, he likes treating things with kindness, offsetting said initial trait...
In battle, Alex tends to be serious, calculating and even somewhat manipulative, depending on his opponent, which fits his title of the Thief of Void. Being a stealth based class it only makes sense.
Initially, Alex was pretty despondent about finding out that he was the 'Thief of Void', as he lumps the void together with the big name Final Fantasy baddie Exdeath, and labels it evil. It's mostly due to that that he originally kept as much void as he could away from him, until he became aware of the invisibility the void granted him to other beings, even so though, he approaches his powers cautiously. He has yet to learn that just because he is the Thief of Void that doesn't mean he himself is bad.
Present – In many ways, the snarky, sarcastic and smart-ass persona is still very much in check… However there is a new weight to him now. Something within himself that he refuses to share with anyone. At some points, his nihilism seems at an all time low, at others, it’s at an all time high. One other notable big change is that this man lacks any of his previous persona’s shyness or bashfulness, seemingly enjoying more getting involved with life in general and getting active…
History
Pre SBURB – Alex, then known as Aaron, was a simple video game nerd who liked writing and talking to a bunch of equally dorky friends on the internet. His family life was… Rough but not unmanageable, with a grumpy younger teenage sister, a caring Doctor mother and an energetic dog that liked thinking himself the guardian of the house. It was many days spent in peace, between gaming, writing, working a job and attending his last remaining classes at college… Then he overheard something about a new game coming out from his friends called SBURB.
Post SBURB – While initially in his element, and simply enjoying playing a game, Aaron was also juggling a number of other stressing issues concerning starting the game. The destruction of Earth, the uprooting of his family at home, the deaths of basically everyone else… And even worse than that, continually making mistakes throughout the game that end up costing the team dearly. The biggest mistake however, was entrusting a powerful ring to a seeming friend on Derse in the hopes that he can help out with the game itself. Instead, the ring mutated the man and transformed him into a beastly piece of work that many came to know as the ‘Raven’, whom was good at killing; mostly other SBURB players.
While Raven was eventually dealt with, the damage had been dealt and other damages only continued to crop up; the attempted uprising of cursed Tricksters (Started in a moment of rage by his good friend Kisa much to his shock), the arrival of the King of Derse upon the game and even the arrival of a Alternate future version of one of the Sessions trolls, Orcana.
Alex and his friends triggered the scratch, causing the entire game to be completely reset so that another version of them could take up their mantles and win the game where they failed… Effectively wrenched from any form of hopeful reality however, the gamers fled to the stars, eventually finding the Dream Bubbles…
And it was there that Alex found Dimensional Island.
Other
There is even more to this story then meets the eye………
Whenever Alex talks to someone long distance on Pesterchum, his Chumhandle is 'gantzGun' and 'he types with light blue text, with proper pronounciation. Though he is prone to use elipses and emoticons, he usually only does this with close friends, choosing to be proper with others.'
For his trip on Dimensional Island, Alex has a special keyboard which is an entire computer built in. The keyboard can display a holographic screen that works just as well as a computer moniter, which has built in Wi-Fi, Pesterchum, and a few computer games from his old home... Though one can tell they are only there because they were installed by Alex during his early days in the game, to serve as a reminder of his old home.
Alex holds on to a great amount of guilt from the previous session of Sburb and more recent events, and as thus, tries to avoid anything related to it if at all possible...
However, that may be more difficult then he thinks...
