Just as before, the ice spikes and lightning proved ineffective against the dragon's hide. It lunged at Senuta again, barely even acknowledging that she was attacking it at all. However, when she brought her shadow hand down on it, the dragon was shocked to discover just how much force went into this strike, with it being enough to slam it down through the thin ice and leave it flailing in the water. It roared its frustration for all to hear for miles around, but it refused to take this treatment lying down. This woman was going to pay.

Having again submerged the dragon in water, Senuta once more froze the water around it, though her ice couldn't reach deep enough to freeze much more than the lake's surface. Still, with the dragon half-trapped, it gave her all the more reason to act quickly, forming another twilight blade and this time aiming to strike an exposed point on its back.

After scratching and smashing the ice, the dragon managed to break free again, but it couldn't climb out of the freezing water in time to dodge Senuta's blade. It snarled in pain when the twilight struck it just between the shoulder blades, and though it did not penetrate its hide, it did leave one of the dragon's blue scales noticeably out of alignment.
Once it was on solid ice again, the dragon spun in a wide arc, slamming Senuta across the lake with its tail. It then exhaled a massive line of lightning that, from an outsider's perspective, appeared to completely consume the yokai.

Senuta took the hit pretty hard, skidding across the ice on her back. She was still lying down when the electricity surrounded her, prompting her to raise her hands and command it to swerve around her. At the same time, she infused the bolts with fire, heating the ice and filling the air with more steam, so much so that the lake was soon engulfed in a thick cloud of fog.
When the lightning relented, Senuta shot back up and unleashed into the fog an overwhelming dose of radiation. The air turned toxic, painful to the touch, blinding both in the sense of obscuring vision and burning the eyes.

The dragon cautiously examined the fog. As finely tuned as its eyes were, it could barely see Senuta through the thick cloud. It kept absolutely still, rigid, waiting and expecting the worst.
At first, it wasn't exactly clear what Senuta had unleashed, but the answer came in the most unpleasant manner possible. The contaminated fog burned the dragon's scales like a thousand white flames, a searing, sizzling feeling coursing through every nerve ending. Its eyes stung too powerfully to bear, tears streaming down its face to quell the dry burn. It roared in unimaginable agony, its cries choked and scratchy, and it had to stop every now and then as the fumes got caught in its throat, forcing it to hack up sparks.
Blindly, the dragon thrashed about, unsure where to go or what to do. No matter which way it turned, the fog's acid-like touch was relentless, and all it could comprehend was the pain.

Got 'em.
Having effectively left the dragon blind and defenseless, Senuta charged her twilight aura to an overwhelming level and shot at the beast like a bullet. She slammed into it with the force of a high-speed oil tanker, the silver glow exploding into a destructive blast upon impact.

The resonating boom. The thunderous fall. The agonized screech of a dragon in the worst physical pain it had ever been dealt. It was a mighty, spine-chilling noise that reached even beyond the northern mountains, practically shaking the foundations of the island itself. And it was the last sign of distress the dragon could muster.
At Senuta's powerful strike, the dragon collapsed. Its nerve endings were screaming and burning, and its great body felt weak, limp, weighted down. It could no longer find the energy to move. All it could do was lay sprawled out on the ice, submerged in the sickening fog, and succumb to the elements that sought to dominate the beast.

Senuta landed atop the fallen dragon, her stone cold face one of high and mighty victory. "Pity. That was a most invigorating battle. I must admit, you are quite a magnificent creature."
She raised a hand, twilight igniting above her and the dragon like the blade of a guillotine, ready to be dropped upon the dragon's neck.
"Consider yourself lucky to be the first prize of the Mistress of Twilight."

"SOMEBODY CALL FOR THE CALVARY?!?!" Forsaken called to her blue dragon friend as she came into sight.

Dropping in right behind her was Crona, Ragnarok in sword form as the cursed sword screamed and vibrated. "SCREECH GAMMA!" Crona called, madly slashing the sword towards the supposed enemy. Sound waves erupted with each slash, all aimed directly for Senuta.

The dragon weakly lifted its head, its dimly-glowing eyes straining to see through the fog. It let out a choked grunt when Forsaken and Crona came into view, not sure whether to be relieved that help had arrived or horrified that its siren friend was in harm's way.

Senuta whipped around, scowling at the newcomers. Without even thinking about it, she swung her arms and redirected the mighty twilight blade, shooting it at Forsaken and Crona. She immediately followed this up by leaping into the air and unleashing a potent ice blast.
More lambs to the slaughter. Just what the yokai needed.

Forsaken grinned. "Crona! Ragnarok! Ready for a blood bath?" she called as she moved out of the way. Her arms became encased in blood red crystals as tendrils poked out from her back pouch.

Crona grinned. "We were born ready!" Ragnarok cheered, screaming into a potent vibration again. One swing of Ragnarok broke the blade to pieces, the black blooded child unfortunately open to the icy blast.
"A-a-AAAH!" Crona screamed, preparing another slash. "Screech Alpha!" they yelled, a giant sound wave shaped like a mouth flying from his sword swing, attempting to at least weaken the ice field.

While Senuta was distracted, the dragon weakly tried to pick itself up. Its nerve endings were still stinging from the acid-like fog and it was remarkably sore where Senuta's twilight blast had struck it. But it had to do something to help. This woman packed a wallop, and it would never forgive itself if any harm came to Forsaken.
