Tears struck Felix and his body began to glow white. Masahiro turned from the power he was suddenly feeling. Power... Power growing... What is that... Suddenly there was a flash of light and a beam of light shot into the sky, piercing the darkness with skies of blue. Masahiro heard the screams of a thousand angels as they swooped down over the surveying area, striking down all demons in the vicinity.
Somewhere on the horizon, Shagrath appeared, snarling at a man clothed in white, white hair covering his eyes. This man was perfection. This man was the one who would one day defeat Shagrath. Shagrath let out a roar of violent anger and shot out magical blasts at the man, but a shield of pure holy magic repelled the blasts and Shagrath found himself surrounded. With nothing to do, no way to attack, he dissapeared.
The one who was willing to give his life for his loved one... The one who made the Ultimade Sacrifice despite his heritage... It is he who shall retrieve what he has lost... Your wings of white... have returned. Suddenly Felix's eyes opened again and beams of light struck out as his clothing turned white, his hair turned white, and the most spectacular sight of all was his wings, each feather turning white one by one.

The four watched this with what could only be described as unbridled awe.
"...whoa..."
"Holy moly!"
"Wow...!"
His eyes ever fixed on Felix, Double D stood up beside him slowly. He was healed without even being touched, though his face was still stained from rivers of tears. "...F...Fe.... Felix...??"

"What the hell?!" Masahiro yelled as he began to back away. "You underestimated love again," a voice said. Masahiro turned to see the man clothed in white. Apparantly he had teleported away from the scene with Shagrath. In either case, Masahiro was shocked to see him, his eyes wide and full of panic. "When a Fallen is willing to die for the one they truely love... that is when they reclaim their wings," the man said. "But you let yourself become infaturated with lust and vengeance... Masahiro... If you will but beg for forgiveness, you will be forgiven." "NEVER!" The evil inside Masahiro outdid the good and now he charged the man. "I see... What a shame, I have no other choice then." The man sighed and stood there, looking like he was deep in thought. Masahiro swung his sword and nearly slashed the man.
But the minute the sword was one move away from the man, it stopped. Masahiro grimaced. His arms was melting and so was his other arm. He looked down at his body. It was melting away. He looked up at the man who was not smiling. Only then did he see his mark. Masahiro screamed in pain as his body melted into blood and pain, all which the man did away with in the blink of an eye. Felix stood up and looked at the man. The man looked back at Felix and smiled. "Your prayers have finally been answered, young one... You may return home."
Felix looked down. There was sadness there. He did not want to return home. Now that he had finally found someone to love... Double D... He looked over at the Edd boy who looked back with a frown, but eyes of understanding. (Forgive the God mode... Plot reasons.) "I guess... this is goodbye."
"Yeah..."
The man looked at the scene and smiled. He really did love this human. Being a diety of love and forgiveness, despite what was going on in the world, he decided what he would do even before this moment in time. "Felix..." Felix turned to face him. "There is only one way an angel can come down to Earth. It is if they are to protect someone as their Guardian Angel. Guardian Angels cannot love the ones they are protecting. It is a rule... an oath, if you will." Felix frowned and the man smiled playfully. "That being said, I hereby administer the title of Guardian Angel and ask you to protect Ed... The one with Zero Point Energy." Felix's head shot up. The man held a smile that warmed his heart. It was something he could not even fathom. This was the man who could hold supremacy and dominance over all people... if he wanted. But he didn't. He showed kindness and love instead. "Also... Shinichi will now be Double D's Guardian Angel. He doesn't love the person and personally the two of you make an interesting team." Felix chuckled a bit. With that said, the man looked at Felix's blade and frowned. "Such an unholy sword." He took it and it flashed white before it was returned to Felix. It looked pure and clean again. "Much better, huh?" "Yes... Yes m'lord." The man smiled. "This is farewell for now Felix... I will see you again the day Double D passes on to my kingdom." Felix smiled and bowed. The man then dissapeared, one last smile adorning his perfect face.

"...what just happened?" Eddy and Raz broke the silence simultaneously..
"YAY!" Ed glomped Felix happily. "My own Guardian Angel!" He gave Felix a giddy grin. "You looked just like I imagined you would."
Double D was in shock, not sure he correctly understood what had just been decided. "...I... Felix...?"

"Ummmm... thank you Ed," Felix said and when the boy finally let go, he smiled and strode to Double D softly. His movements were more graceful then they had ever been before. "Looks like I'm staying," he said softly.

Double D broke into the biggest, happiest smile. "Oh, Felix!!" he cried, rushing in, and embraced him tightly.

Elated beyond all measure, Double D happily placed his lips on Felix, so very glad he would still be with him, even after all the pain and suffering they endured togther.

"Wow... I missed a lot, didn't I?" Shinichi said as he woke up. Felix had kissed Double D and smiled back at Shinichi. "Well... now that you're an angel again, I guess I'd better go..." "Not so fast," Felix said, smirking evily. "You've gotta stay with your new 'assignment,' little angel." "Very funny," Shinichi said, but then Felix smirked wider and Shinichi whistled.

"Ahhhh, I see. The big man put you in charge of Ed to be with Double D... and he put me on Double D in case Double D's life is endangered while you're protecting Ed," Shinichi said. "Yup," Felix said.

Shinichi dug into his pocket... and found nothing. "What... how... but..." Felix pulled it out. "Got'cha," Felix said playfully and purred while snuggling up to Double D. "... Prepare yourself, Double D, for the major personality change. Now that Felix is no longer a Fallen, the negativity that comes with the title of Fallen leaves and purification starts... Looks like Felix is now childish and playful," Shinichi said.
