"Keep getting stronger!" Perceval cried happily. "We all train a lot. You could join us."

"... Even if I became the strongest in the world... if the time came..." Masahiro closed his eyes sadly. "If I had to choose between your life and Marion's, I would be forced to choose hers... You would die... if I was the only one who could save you." But you're not... Why do you speak to him this way? Though he thought this, Masahiro was genuine and honest in his love for Perceval.

"I understand, but... you say that as if you're all alone." Perceval noted, as if reading his mind, smiling. "Which you're not. You never are. That's what I learned when Fletcher took me away from that orphanage. No matter how bleak things seem, you are never, ever alone in this or any other world."

"... We Guardian Angels... tend to be... Only few of us, if lucky, ever find humans that truely empathize or sympathize with us and become our friends... And they usually die... because of how evil is attracted to us... so we can fight it," Masahiro said. "How ironic... The same thing placed down to protect... is also the thing to attract."

Perceval nodded in thought, then frowned when someone else came to mind. "...I wonder what happened to Double D's angel... Shinichi was his name?"

"My brother... when the humans attacked us because of your powers... and Trevor was killed... he descended back into darkness... into his own malice and rage... and fell once more. We Angels are so extreme... whenever evil enters our hearts and we act upon it, we immediately become Fallen... it is why we must always act in God's true word." Masahiro sighed. "It is a hard lifestyle to lead... but it is one we must."

"Oh..." Perceval frowned. "I... hope that darkness in him goes away soon..."
(I had an idea where Double D stumbles across Shinichi while running errands and pleads him to come back without success.)

(Go for it.)
"Only if Shinichi truely wills it will it go away," Masahiro said, frowning.

"Wasn't Felix also Fallen before?" Perceval pondered. "I remember you saying that... how did he regain his wings?"
(kay. I'll start one somewhere close to the city)

That question sent whatever little joy Masahiro had at that current moment back to the shadows. His head fell as he recalled what had triggered that sacred moment... the shame of it bubbling inside him. "Felix... gave his life... to regain his wings... He sacrificed himself... to protect Edward-kun... when I... I..." His voice was becoming more despair-ridden as the tears of humiliation and shame became evident on his face, traveling down his cheeks. "When I tried... to kill him... Felix took the blow... and died... But our king... protected him... and destroyed my body instead... because I... I had fallen too far... like the fool that I was... that I am."

Perceval gasped lightly, but he relaxed soon after. "Oh, yes. That explains why everyone was so cautious around you at first." He leaned in to embrace him tightly. "...but that's not you anymore. I may have not been there before, but now... all I see in you is goodness. I've never seen you do anything evil with my own eyes. Even when your brother was consumed, you would not let yourself be. That counts for something... right?"

The gasp almost made Masahiro lose all hope for the future. He thought Perceval would see him in the wrong light and leave him alone. But when he was embraced tightly and given words of comfort, he could not help but begin to sob softly in the other's shoulder. He knew he had changed and he knew he had succeeded where his brother had not. What he didn't know is why, then, did he still feel guilty?

Perceval didn't understand either why Masahiro had started to cry, but nonetheless, he held him closer and let him. Once he got out all his tears, he'd feel better. Everyone deserved a good cry now and then.

"Percy... I... What... What if I..." Masahiro sobbed. He did not want to lose his mind, but nonetheless, he felt scared; he did not want to lose his mind, he severely did not want to.

"You won't," Perceval stated without any doubt. "You can always come to me when you feel like you're losing your way. If you just talk to me, like you're doing now, you'll feel better. Than you won't have to worry!"
