Hey, man. I'm angry too, but that's my home you're talking about bombing. I'm not going to bomb the entirety of California 0.0 I still need to get into Hollywood. No, I just plan on bombing the judges.

Ahhh... Ooh, you're hiding in Hollywood? Nah, come down here to Pasadena, no one will notice you. XD Seriously though, after all the terrorist acts, bombing jokes are a little tastless, not to mention dangerous.

Ok, fine, I understand your point. Joking about murder... big no-no. But this is infuriating!

Okay okay okay okay. I got more information on the subject. You have to understand something. The judges were NOT ruling on legalizing gay marriage, OR whether banning it was constitutional. They were rulling on whether the Prop 8 document ITSELF was constitutional. If it passes all the requirements, then there's nothing they could do. If they had ruled that it wasn't constituional when it actually was, THAT would be uncoinstitutional and would only cause more problems. That's the thing about our system. We are free to propose any amendment we want, as long as it's allowed, no matter how many others disagree. Besides, 52% of the people voted for it, so even though we don't like it, it won fair and square. We have the freedom do make these propositions, and as such, the gay rights activists will probably counter with thier own proposition in the future. Change takes a long time. Because people are afraid of it. African Americans and women can tell you the same thing.

Well, these days its middle-aged adult white males with the least rights. Whose gonna stand up for THEM? Is it okay for them to be trampled on just for women or racial rights? (I'm female, so I can at least talk about some of this safely.)
I don't get the attraction to marriage. A few tax breaks and a piece of paper is all it is. The gonvernment can't tell you that you can't be together. I get the whole principal of the thing, but I dunno... Although I don't see the point of marriage (monogamy is not the point. You can do that without the government "making" you ala adultery laws) if you're a couple. Marriage/commitment is a concept, not anything that should be regulated.
Let's get rid of all these tax exemptions and make everyone pay a flat rate. That would get rid of the tax reason for marriage. I just don't get the importance of a piece of paper. At least homosexual couples are exempt from lame as butt "common law marriage" laws. "You're married according to law cause you've lived together for x amount of time!" - seriously, WTF?

Benefits come from getting married, so since it's illegal for them to marry, they can't get the benefits, just pressuring them into "becoming heterosexual" or just moving to a state that has gay marraige.

So? Lots of things come with benefits. Healthcare; unemployment; my friend Susie. The list goes on.
I honestly agree with... whatever that guy's name was. I don't really see the appeal of marriage. Do you really need to wear a ring to confirm your love for someone? I just stalk them.
