"Mmm... I see." Gently, Fletcher took him by the hand. "Come. Forget this place. You'll be welcome at my home."

King felt Fletcher take his hand gently and turned a little red. ... What are you thinking? How can you fall in love with someone after losing Queen?... But Queen told me life goes on and he... he'd probably do the same, wouldn't he?

"Hmm?" Fletcher noticed the blush. "...King? Are you feeling alright?"

"Wha'?" King asked. "Oh... I'm fine... just a little tired, that's all."

"...Hmm." Worried that he may have been ill, Fletcher stood in front of him, holding out his arms. "Here, I'll carry you there. Don't worry." He smirked. "It won't take long, I promise."

That suggestion almost made King blush harder, but he realized why Fletcher was acting the way he was. I'm probably nothing to this guy but someone that just needs help... He did say some of his companions were homosexuals like me, however... "Ok," he said softly and walked into those arms softly.

At bodily contact, Fletcher paused. ....well, damn. He's...warm.
Rarely did he ever get this close to someone; he prefered to handle rescuees impersonally. It's not that he didn't care... it was just so hard... so hard to try and allow someone to grow close to him... only running the risk of losing them. Just like...
Shaking the thought away and trying to ignore this sudden, unexplainable chain of emotions he was cycling through, Fletcher carefully lifted King into his arms. "Heh... you're awfully light."
And then, probably to King's surprise, he lifted them both into the air.

King was not surprised when he was called light. He knew he was light; the days without food had probably sapped away his weight as well as his strength. But what he had not expected was to see the world begin to get smaller. "... Is this why he called you Devil Spawn?" King gasped.

"Probably," Fletcher replied, floating off through the city towards their destination. "Like I said, the proper name is Super Child. We're a race of superpowered beings, each with unique powers. You can easily guess mine."

"After seeing it, I suppose I can," King said as the ground moved beneath them. "So they hate you just because you can fly... perhaps they should hate the angels that serve their God then considering they fly."

"It's more or less because they believe our powers are not meant for humans," Fletcher elaborated. "It's more than flying. My friends each have psychic abilities, self-regeneration, speed, invisibility... the list goes on. It's what I said earlier; I firmly believe that because they have no way of explaining why or how, they're afraid of it, and they label it as something evil."

"Something not meant for humans... but it's not fair. If you're born with it, you should be able to embrace it. That's why there can be no such thing as a god... because the world is too biased for such a benevolent being." King and Michael, all the Aethiests... had no idea when it came to this world.

"We do embrace it," Fletcher replied. "We do our best to help humanity with the gifts given to us." He paused as King continued. "...mmm, be careful with that. I don't know about your world, but among my companions are angels that serve Him. It may be a different God from a different dimension, but I would still be careful about those kind of accusations."

"Angels exist?... Now you have me curious," King said.

"Well, then, I'll have to introduce then, won't I?" Fletcher chuckled. "One of them's fairly new to the service. Actually, he's the first human to earn angellic wings. And to top it all off, he's both a Super Child AND a homosexual. So I guess that defeats both of those arguments."
