Otto, though stunned reacted fast enough to catch the Nest Jewel that Him had flicked out of his claw. He examined the charred Nest Jewel, looking like his brain had went on vacation and left him behind... ... ...
Silence followed... ... ...
"Whoa... ... ..." Wally mumbled, looking confused. "Talk about Plot Twist..."
[Go ahead and have the Ed's react as they may. I'll explain in my next post.]

Needless to say, the gesture caught Double D off guard. He glanced repeatedly between Him and the jewel. Courage mirrored his confusion with a puzzled moan.
"Awww, does this mean there's not gonna be a big fight?" Ed, however, moaned in disappointment. "What a bummer..."

Him grinned as Otto mirrored what Double D did. "Okay..." He gave the Demon a puzzled, but unamused look. "I'm officially past the point of accepting any wise-cracks..." He growled. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ABOUT?!?"
Him shrugged. [shadow=red,left,300]"Yes it's true I fooled you, it was all part of my plan to destroy the Nest Jewels."[/shadow] He smiled smartly. [shadow=red,left,300]"Consider this your final pay-check. You're services are no longer required."[/shadow]
Wally got up from the couch. "I don't get it mate." Him turned to the Light Bender, as the boy looked at him confused. "Why give your newest worst enemy the very item you're seeking to destroy, knowing that he'll protect it with his life?"
[shadow=red,left,300]"THAT'S WHAT I'M COUNTING ON."[/shadow]
That caught the attention of everyone in the room.
He grinned a little more. [shadow=red,left,300]"You see... I'm not too afraid of losing the Dark Bender; only recently I have found... Someone else to serve as my lap-dog."[/shadow] He giggled a little, as he snapped his claws. [shadow=red,left,300]"And unlike you, Half Zin, I KNOW that he'll help me. It's all a matter of... Breaking a few barriers."[/shadow]

Double D regarded Him with a firm glare while he spoke to the other two. Past the ambiguity of his words, he could sense the manipulation, the dark intentions behind whatever the devil was planning. He still had his Shield Fist maintained, just in case. Holding it in place had begun to take less concentration than it used to.

"What are you talking about?" Otto asked, a growl forming in his throat.
[shadow=red,left,300]"The boy I speak of is one that has been through far more suffering then you'll ever understand. He may be holding strong over the darkness now, but even now he is, shall we say... TAMPERING with a power beyond his control or understanding."[/shadow]
Wally stared at the demon confused.
He giggled to the point of insanity. [shadow=red,left,300]"What do you boys know of the powerful 'Cursed Blade' Soul Edge?"[/shadow]
That caught Otto and Wally's attention, making them both go pale.
"YOU DIDN'T..." Otto growled.
[shadow=red,left,300]"Needless to say, he took the gem from me, with the intent of finding the Soul Edge's counterpart Soul Calibur... A non-sensical goal, don't you think? Makes one wonder what he plans to do with such power..."[/shadow]

"Soul Edge!?" Ed knew that too. "The evil sword from Soul Calibur!?! That's here too??"
Double D breifly wondered where Ed found all the time to play, watch, and therefore recognize all these franchises.

Everyone turned to Otto to see he looked considerably more monstrous and Murderous as the minutes passed. "Give me straight ANSWERS RIGHT NOW, OR I'M GONNA RIP YOU APART AND TOSS YOU BACK WHERE YOU CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Him smirked, and held up his claws innocently, [shadow=red,left,300]"Fine, I confess."[/shadow] He grinned even wider. [shadow=red,left,300]"I KNOW he'll find Soul Calibur and frankly... I'm counting on the fact that he will."[/shadow] He grinned even wider. [shadow=red,left,300]"I want to make sure when he comes to me next, he will be at his weakest state of mind, he'll be willing to listen to everything... He'll be desperate enough to agree to my needs. That's where he'll be willing to agree to my needs."[/shadow]
"You said he had a strong mind... ... ... What makes you think he'll agree with you?" Otto growled.
Him smirked as wide as he could, as he clamped his claws...
Suddenly a transparent image appeared in the room. It appeared to be the image of a young woman with white horns, tan bat like wings, and a lizard like tail... She also had bubble gum pink hair...
[shadow=red,left,300]"This is what."[/shadow] He giggled insanely as he grazed a claw at her chin. [shadow=red,left,300]"It's amazing what you mortals will do... When you're in love."[/shadow]
(OOC: Yeah, I know, he just revealed his whole plan right? ... ... ... Well, Him was always well known for his head-games... XDDD There's no REAL way of knowing if half the things he's saying is even true.)

He had seen this before. Using loved ones to manipulate, to decieve... to hurt. It was the very same way he had gained these wings in the first place. He would not, COULD not, condone this.
(y'know, because Lucifer had killed him to try to weaken Felix)

Him gasped seeming insulted by this, at least before he finally said, [shadow=red,left,300]"Oh... My... Thank you, child!"[/shadow] He thought a moment. [shadow=red,left,300]"I think the name 'Fiend' fits me!"[/shadow]
If there was anyone who was angrier then Double D, Otto would definately be that person. His eyes traveled to Him, then to the restrained girl in the astral projection, just waiting to be used for whatever nefarious purpose Him had in store for her. His form was turning red out of deep anger. "YOU.!!!!"
Him waved a claw to the others, [shadow=red,left,300]"Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be returning to my lair. Mr. Quackers and our ne guest await my return."[/shadow] He sneered at Otto, whom was fuming at the beast, [shadow=red,left,300]"So do your job and protect that crystal little hero... WHILE YOU CAN..."[/shadow] He giggled insanely as he quickly disappearing in a glob of red smoke...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just in time to dodge a 'Hell-Fire Burst' courtesy of one ticked off Dark Bender.
Otto growled angrily, seething like a volcano. "I'm going.... ... TO KILL HIM..."

"I don't know about killing him..." Double D stepped up to Otto. "But I definitely wish to join you in teaching him a lesson and freeing that poor girl." He bit his lip. "...I haven't yet mastered my new powers yet, but perhaps I'll be of some use to you. I just can't let this stand without trying to help."

Otto thought a moment. "There is something you can do, Double D." The boy looked at him confused. "No matter what... We need to find the person Him's trying to turn." He turned to the boy, his eyes seeming to lighten up, the darkness leaving him. "Whether this guy wants Soul Edge or Soul Calibur, it doesn't matter. Either sword is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands."
Wally nodded. "I heard legends about those two swords. Either sword has enough power to do great things. Wether those things are terrible or not, depends on the weilder."
Otto shuddered, "And if Him is giving this guy his full attention, who knows what could happen?"

Ed nodded in agreement. "Oh, yeah! There was, like, this big ol' war over it, right?" He thought about this. "...I'm guessing Rapheal, Cervantes, or Astroth never got it?" He recieved a few weird looks. "...I only got to play Soul Calibur 2."
Double D sighed, returning to Otto and nodding. "I agree. If we can get him to see what's happening, that'll be sure to put a kink in Him's plot." He caught sight of the Nest Jewel in Otto's hand. "...you can keep that one. It may be part of his plan, but at least it's in safe hands for now."

Otto looked down at the gem in his hands and couldn't fight the smile that appeared on his face. "Well this is unexpected..."
Wally smiled typically. "Well Otto mate, you came to this world hoping to make a name, and now look atcha! A protector of a nest jewel!" He smacked Otto on the back playfully. "You're on your way!"
After a second Otto walked over to the couch, and looked over the gem. "I guess I am..."
After a moment, Wally turned back to Double D smiling up a storm, "Ya see, Otto's dreamed of being a hero since he was a kid, now that he has the chance to prove himself, I'm sure he's ecstatic." He picked up Courage and started petting the dog. "Dreaming to be the best hero there is, is what drives him."

Courage sighed in content at the petting, smiling at Otto.
"Is that so?" Double D chuckled. "It's quite the job, I'll be the first to tell you, but the rewards are well worth it, trust me."
"Like you becoming an angel!" Ed added, grinning widely.
"Heh, yes, I suppose so...oh." Realizing his wings were still out, he swiftly put them away. "Forgot they were out. Best to keep them hidden for security purposes."

Wally looked around a brief moment. "Uh... Remember what were out?" Double D was given a quick wink to emphasize this. Wally may have been known as the valley's biggest gossip, but when he had info that meant protecting a friend, it was info that the boy would happily, possibly even cheerfully, take to his grave. He broke this promise only once, and, ever since then, he's swore to himself to never break the promise again.
Otto merely continued to examine the gem, before, almost reverently, placed it on the table; he would figure out how to carry it around and guard it later. Grinning he looked over his shoulder. "You better hope that means your secret lasts the week, kid."
"HEY!!!" Wally turned to Otto, taking this statement as a good natured joke. "It was that ONE time! Sheesh make one mistake and it hangs over your head for all eternity."
Both boys laughed, giving Double D the vibe that they were both kidding. It may have been surprising, seeing Otto laugh, though he had to take into account that the boy would be in a better mood considering he was a step closer to achieving a goal; making a name for himself and what not.
