Wally blinked...
Otto lowered his head, sighing. "I should've expected no less from the devil."
Wally however, was breathing rather deeply, looking angered. "So technically speaking, you should be dead?" Double D didn't need to answer. "Grrr... That miserable monster, how dare he?!"
"Though with you being alive, am I to guess this idea backfired in some way?" Otto asked curiously.

Double D nodded slowly. "...surprisingly enough, dying was the easy part."
"Ooh! Ooh!" Ed sat up excitedly. "Can I tell them the rest, Double D??"
Double D chuckled. "Go on ahead, Ed."
"Goody!" He leaped up, standing beside Double D dramatically. "So, so, we all thought he was dead, right?? B-but then his wound started to bleed white, and I knew what THAT meant 'cause the same thing happened to Felix when he got his wings back!"
He took a breath, then, "And then this light came down and lifted him into the air and his wound started healing and this big voice started talking and said he was the first human pure enough to become an angel and his wings popped out...!" He took another, gasping breath, draping his arm around a laughing Double D's shoulder. "...and then him and Felix kicked Lucifer's BUTT. It was awesome."
"That pretty much sums it up," Double D replied. "To be specific, they called me the Angel of Light. Apparently I was prophisized to be the first human to earn angel wings. I have yet to fully grasp the scope of my new abilities, so that's as much as I can tell you.
"Also, the reason I'm still down here is that I was immediately assigned a charge to guard. I currently keep watch over a boy named Perceval, one of the members of the Skylark Team Ed had mentioned earlier. You see, his lover, an angel named Masahiro, is Marion's Guardian Angel, so it was only appropiate to take care of the one he loved. I was quite pleased at how that worked out."

"Yeah! Fits like a glove!" This was followed by him holding his hand up for a high five from Ed.
"But back to the matter at hand;" Otto thought for a moment, getting up from his seat. "We need to find this person that Him's taken such an interest in. This Soul Calibur business..." He sat back down, "We'd better do more research... The Soul Calibur is supposed to be the spirit sword, inherently good, where the Soul Edge is inherently evil... Why would Him take an interest in that, I wonder?"
[By the way NN1, I read the new Super Ed's chapter... XDDDD It's... words fail me... Oh who am I kidding?!?!? It was so drop dead AWESOME, I can't describe how AWESOME it is in detail.

"Alright!" Ed gave him the high-five, grinning.
Double D nodded to Otto. "Weapons so powerful would be of interest to anyone, no matter their motives. We need to prevent Him from finding them at all costs. As for the person, we need to start questioning around. I wouldn't know where else to start our search."

Otto turned to Double D, nodding. "Right." He thought a moment, "Are you sure you can't you think of anyone?"
"What about you Ed?" Wally pointed to Ed, "Did that girl look familiar to you? You know, I've played some games. Could she be some kinda side character from this Soul Calibur game? If she is, it might help make the list shorter."

"Mmmm... well..." Ed scratched his head, thinking intensely. "No, I don't think so... actually... she kind of looked like a character from Final Fantasy Tactics. Maybe she's an OC."
"O...C?" Double D sweatdropped. "...I'm not going to ask how you know that term."

[The gria race, by the by, is not OC. The race is introduced in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (or 'Advanced 2'.) for the DS.]
The two boys stared blankly at Ed...
"O... ... ... C?" Wally asked, giving Ed a blank look. "This world just keeps getting more an more interestin."
Otto shrugged, "I'm inclined to agree. What does that mean anyways, it might help... Maybe..."

"Oh. That's short for Original Character!" Ed explained. "But I know she's from Final Fantasy Tactics because she's a Gria. She's just not a MAIN character."
"Hmm... maybe if we look for other Grias..." Double D ventured. "...then perhaps we'd find information that way?"

"Possibly..." Otto thought a moment... "Maybe we could learn something from the City Hall, possibly something about where we could find a gria or two amongst the cities populace."
"Worth a shot." Wally shrugged as he placed Courage on the couch. "The city hall in town at our world was open to us due to our status-"
Otto groaned "Your forgetting one crucial detail Wally; here we're basically nothings; names on a page." He shook his head, "Like they're going to open the door for riffraff like us."
A pout came on Wally's face. "You didn't have to put it like that..."

"Hold on Wally." Otto turned to Ed, arms crossed, "I don't want any surprises, what should we expect when we go there?"

Otto had decided for this plan a long time ago; if there was a way into city hall to find some information, they should take the chance. Otto looked to the simple Ed, his face flat. "Okay then Ed, I trust you in your word."
Waly nodded, "Yeah, let's go get that info!"
[By the way, you wanna know why I thought K.K Slider would be a good character for the 'In Mourning' thread? Because I thought it would be a good choice. He just seemed to be the kind of guy to be filled with worldly advice.]
[The reason why I bring this up? Because I'm thinking of adding Misty to the mix in either the upcoming City Hall thread, or the thread after the 'A Monster' thread. The reason for this? XD You'll see...]

A kurt nod of agreement followed. "Spoken like a true hero." He was just about to turn back to the door. "Uh, Double D... Are you alright? You look a little... Pale..."
[Helga makes her true first appearance in the next thread, so why not save her meeting Double D for the 'A Monster' thread? Also this kinda references to 'said thread'. What do you think?]
