Val ran out of a portal into the wall of the cave entrance, as she fell back the portal closed, leaving her stranded here, seemingly alone. She looked around for Ed, whom she was chasing. Seeing no one she decided to have a look around the caves for Edward. She stood upand patted the dirt off her cloak. Picking up a rather large branch, she lit it using alchemy and walked inside

"Hey. That's cheating. You can't light fire using magic. You have to do it using sticks and flint, like I had to. And for that matter, what are you doing in my cave?!" Taffy threatened, and pointed his broom at Val.
Inside the cave, he had set up a small house of sorts, since it was small and free of monsters. There was a hammock, a fire, and even a wireless TV(?) just sitting there.

Vals eyes widened at the sight of Taffy. She looked at the fire inside the cave as well, then back to Taffy. "Who are you?" Val inquiried "and have you seen a boy that looks about fourteen...looks a lot like me but wearing a red over shirt and black vest?"

Val reached back towards her dagger but dropped her arm before she grabbed it. "i dont think that the broom would do much against me" Val said, staying calm "i was just wondering if you saw my friend. And what i am doing here i don't know, i was thrown into the side wall from a portal from where i work" Val looked around once more then back to Taffy. "Anyway, who are you and what drove you out here?"

Taffy smirked. "This is a Special-Grade Demolition Broom, stupid. I have destroyed cities, fought gods, and killed snipes with this piece of alchemical crap. And I moved out here because there's too much crazy shit that happens at Void City. Seriously, Angels, Demons, girls with teddy bears, Treetune, several Devils, video game characters, Treetune, the list goes on. I just wanted some peace and quiet for once, man."

"Wow" val said "no wonder you moved out here" Val leaned against the wall of the cave, with a sigh she said "demolition broom eh...no offence or anything...but i haven't heard of such a thing" she yawned softly "and you say its the work of alchemy?"

"Yeah. I made it myself. And you've never heard of one? Geez, back home they use them for just about every demolitions project. Easier to make than a wrecking ball." He finally relaxed. "Pain in the ass to make though. And this on can't even talk!" He tossed the broom to the ground. "Geez, what kind of living weapon are you anyways if you can't talk!"

"...Sword? Alchemy's not that good for making swords. Typically, alchemical swords end up exploding. Trust me, I know." Taffy explained. "And I'm from Cape Hatteras. I'm apparently not allowed to enter North Carolina anymore, though, or I'll be arrested on sight. Ha, as if they could catch me!"

"Uhm..I used alchemy to summon the fire, why? cant you do the same?" Val looked at Taffy in surprise. "Oh...never mind, you havent met mustang or seen..." she trailed off "never mind about that last bit." Val sat, against the wall of the cave pondering what happened to Edward. After a few seconds, she turned back to Taffy. "How long you plan on stayin out here?"

Taffy blinked. "Alchemy... doesn't do that. Only magic does... what kind a fucked up alchemy are you using!?"
In any case, he figured he'd respond to her second question. "Eh, I've got a bathroom, I've got food, electricity, all I'm missing is a door and a heating system, and once I've got those done, I'll have my own little place out here. So shoot, I'll just hang out here for a while unless someone needs me."

"well...u do suppose it requires something els" Val reached into her pocket, standing halfway, pulling out a glove. "i used this and the ring on my finger" Val showed Taffy the sapphire ring on her finger. She then took the ring off, putting the glove on, the sliding the ring on over it. "watch" Val said turning towards the cave entrance. Val snapped the gloved hands fingers. The sapphire glowed red and a flame shot off of her hand.
