"Y-You use magic! Oh no... that's not good," Yui said, shaking his head. "The Creator always said to stay away from those claiming to be wizards and witches." He kept pointing his key at Gantz.
"Wizards and Dragons and Eriol..." Yui mumbled. If the Dragons hadn't freaked him out, he'd probably be a bit more up for a conversation, but as it was, things that could conjure fire freaked him out just a bit, never mind that was his main power. Plus he had been contacted by a Wizard on a nearby mountain, and then left. But he was useless anyways, so maybe that's why he was left.

"Hey what am i chopped liver?" Moon asked with a smile.
Quiet you he said it was a honor to meet me. now quiet." Spyro responded with a chuckle as he got smacked in the back of the head.

Gantz turned back to Yui, as Spyro said that. "Hold that thought."
He couched down and tried his best to look sincere. "Now why exactly should you be afraid of Witches or Wizards? There are some bad witches and Wizards true; but there are good ones too." He grinned airily a little. "Besides, what would you say if I told you I wasn't a wizard?"
Now if that wasn't a confusing notion, this author probably hadn't done a good job writing this scene.

Yui cringed and backed up. "You look like a wizard to me... and besides, you can mess with the wind! How do I know you can't conjure fire too? I mean, I know I can summon fire too, but I don't do it much... but all three of you guys can!"
He looked to the side. "And besides, the Creator said that Wizards wanted my body so they could figure out how to make clockwork dolls too. They'd take me apart and carve me open and all of that stuff."

spyro and moon once again looked at each other. "So you're not a wizard yet you can call upon wind," Spyro stated.
"Hey we've run into stranger." Moon commented.

"Well really, my little friend, I'm actually more along the lines of a sage." Gantz shrugged, "I know magic, I can control fire, true to terms, and I can't hide it." He smiled as he reached into his bag, after a moment, he pulled out what appeared to be a clockwork toy that looked like a tiny silver robot. "But I also know other things. Wind magic, like you saw, Ice Magic, Lightning magic... I also know how to tinker using Magi Technology." turning the gear in the toy's back, he released it on the ground...
The toy sprung to life, and started to look around, almost curiously. "But it's all part of being in balance. With Magi-technology in mind, I already know how to make little guys like you. And I'd never use my power to harm the innocent." He smiled a little, "So, tell me friend. Knowing this, give me one reason why I would want to roast you, cut you open, or examine your insides. Does anything come to mind?"

"...I dunno, science?" Yui finally said, clearly at a loss for words. Being made of clockwork and all, he wasn't very intelligent. "And those magics you can use..." He shiverred. "Those are the same kinds me and my brothers manipulate with our keys... that's just too weird."

Gantz chuckled, "You're a lot smarter then you look. I had not thought of that." He shrugged a little. "True, there are some people in this world that examine things just to know how it works. I could be considered such a person myself; You want to know the reason I became a sage though?"
He dropped his hand, and allowed the tiny little toy to walk into his hand. Gently, he lifted the toy up, until it was up to his face. "Because I wanted to protect the people closest to me. You see, I'm something of a hero in a way." After a second he sat down on the ground, and once again let the toy go. The robot ran around examining everything it found. "For instance, just to keep things simple; say this... 'Eriol' came out of nowhere and started to attack you." A comforting face appeared on his face. "I'd do everything in my power to protect you." With a raised eyebrow, he motioned a little towards Yui. "You follow?"

"Y-Yeah... Eriol probably would do that too... he doesn't like me much." Yui said, watching the clockwork doll on the ground.
It's almost bizarre watching that robot... it's like a miniature version of me. He thought to himself. "If you'd do anything in your power to protect me from him... then I'd have to repay you somehow. That's what I've always believed."

"Another good point." Gantz nodded at Yui, "Some heroes do try to work for pay. But not all of them do." He motioned to himself. "I myself have worked for every cent I earn in a convenience store, and not on being a hero. I don't hold saving someone's life against them if they don't want me to neither. I'm above holding an idea as that over someone's head."
He looked up to the sky. "If anyone was going to pay me back, it'd be by their own choice. My first thought if I save a life is to let them go on with their own life; 'No strings attached' as they say. I have a friend named Beatrice, whom I saved. I saved her life, and in that moment, I tried to set her free. But she stayed with me and my other friends anyways." He, behind his sunglasses, shed a slight tear. "I owe her much now, despite her being a little 'rough around the edges'."

"'Rough around the edges', huh..." Yui thought about this for a second. "My brother Kerro was a bit rough around the edges too... I haven't seen him in a long time though... I know he's alive somewhere, but I don't know where. I bet he's get along great with this Beatrice person, though."

"Sound like my mate." Spyro put in before moon clarafied.
"Her name is cynder and in our eye's she's almost perfect.....despite our relationship as spyros mate and my friend starting out with her as our mortal enemy. she still blames her self despite that her choice was denied her, till spyro and i showed up."

Gantz chuckled. "Yes... I know of Cynder too. She has a huge burden to carry on her shoulders, but I'm sure she will manage very well, with the help of her friends and mate."
Turning back to Yui, he brushed himself off, "Getting to the point Yui, I want to help you." He gave the clockwork doll an honest look. "Your in constant danger with this deranged Eriol on the loose." Gantz sighed a little, "Forgive me for wanting to be a good samaritan, but that's just the way I am."
