Physical Description: The first thing that everyone usually notices about Palette is that she REALLY looks like a boy. Her physique is very boyish, and her tall, slender appearance gives her the look of a bishonen (thus making her a bifauxnen XD). Interestingly enough, Palette has full heterochromia, with one eye being red and one (the one she gets her visions through) being blue. While her body is very humanlike, there are several noticeable differences, like her skin being pale white like a clown, and her having rather long, foxlike ears that droop down next to her head, as well as a long lizardlike tail, which has different colored feathers that spring from the end of it (She also has a large multicolored feather that springs from her head). Her short hair is also grey, to go along with her monochromatic color scheme. Despite the non-human appearance of these extra body parts, they are very much covered in skin, not scales or fur or anything like that. Around Palette’s heterochromic seer eye, she has a red star shaped marking that actually is natural, not painted on like a lot of fortune tellers and seers from her world. For clothing, Palette always wears a white, longsleeved button-up shirt, grey pants, and black boots. These clothes are very worn from use; because she has to wash them fairly often, they’ve seen a lot of use. On top of her head, she wears a simple black beret.
Something very noticeable about Palette is that despite her monochromatic appearance (or possibly because), she has several paint splatters on her body, even some that she never seems to wash off (or possibly, adds back on intentionally). Her right ear seems to have been dipped in red paint, while her left ear seems to have been dipped in blue paint. Her clothes are ALWAYS splattered with some kind of paint, because of how she paints her paintings (quickly and haphazardly)
Weapons: All weapons Palette uses are improvised ones, like a paintbrush or the such.
Abilities/Powers: Palette, as a Seer of the Star, can see the future. She’s an oracle, but her visions are special, as she cannot give prophecies unless there’s something nearby that she can draw on. The drawings or paintings created during these prophecies are her main method of inspiration, and her main method of income, being a starving artist and all.
Skills: Palette’s a fairly decent painter, and gets much of her income from her paintings.
Personality: Palette really dislikes other people. To the point where typically she’s rude toward other people. She knows that she needs to be “nice” to people for her job and stuff, but it’s still not fun. As such, she tends to speak with an apathetic tone that suggests she doesn’t really give a damn about anything. She also wants to be normal. Fun times, let me tell you.
History: Palette had always wanted to be a painter. Too bad she grew up in a family of seers, and that she had to grow up in an era where female painters are almost unheard of. It was because of the latter that she started intentionally dressing to look like a man, and because of the former that she started using her power to make paintings. Among her family, her power’s particularly strong, which is probably why it needs such a specific outlet.
After a while, Palette got mixed up in an insane plot involving fragments of a god’s heart, murder, masks, and reincarnation. And she wanted OUT. The problem was, the only way she knew to get out was by moving into the “safest place on Earth”, the Library of the Gods, run by Rylou, a hedgehog-like creature and powerful mage who had taken an interest in Palette because of her gift. And she didn’t want to do that either. She didn’t want to be exploited for her gift.
Finally, after much prodding, he agreed to take her somewhere that was safer than the library. That place ended up being the Dimensional Island.
Other: Based off of a Teripet of the same name from my stint on Teripets. Hence the species name and all that. XD
