A boot scuffed through the dirt lethargically, in the fashion that reflected extreme disappointment.
Where in the cosmos was his brother?
It wasn't that Luigi was lonely... maybe. Well... his new friends had left him after their meal at the mall to go on with their own business, which made total sense. So why was his heart still so heavy?
He paused when he finally acknowledged a light, low-to-the-ground fog that began to curl around his ankles. And when he looked up and realized where he was, his heart suddenly grew heavy with not depression, but dread.
"This is... aw no! Gimme a break!!"
Why did it have to be the town cemetary? Why did it have to be late at night? And why, oh WHY, had he not gotten over his fears of the macrabe? You'd think his adventures in this crazy place would toughen him up a bit!
The younger Mario brother visibly gulped, looking around. Behind him was the west side of Void City, where he had come from. The apartment complex he needed to go was on the east side.
Conclusion? There was no way to get around this now that he stepped into it.
Okay. Maybe nothing will happen. It's just a little walk. It'll take two minutes, maybe five max, for me to get through it. You can do this, Weege. You can DO this.
Whimpering, he took slow steps into the cemetery, his own heartbeat pounding in his ears.
(yeah, it's a little too late, but I couldn't care any less. The Halloween spirit is active all year for me, and I've been in a Super Mario mood, so here we go! Bring out your scariest characters and do your best to scare Luigi, everybody!)
