K1 had been in the middle of a sentence when Himitsu had indicated Naoya, cutting him off. Naoya had never mentioned a "Seth." So how did he know about one now? He gave a small nervous chuckle. "'Y-You know something, right?" He asked.
He felt like his insides were being held together with nothing but duct tape. It was a confusing feeling. He hated Kaini for what Kaini was now; just a replacement for K1 that's even more devoted to the angels. But he didn't want these things to happen to Kaini. He just couldn't...
--------------
Souji and Minato had both made it down to the shop as fast as they could. Minato knocked on Himitsu's door first. Officially, the shop was closed, but if K1 and Naoya were awake, then he was sure he could get in.

Naoya did not look happy. He made sure to give a final glare at Himitsu before turning to Keiichi and softening his gaze significantly, although he still looked annoyed, "Seth is the third child of Adam and Eve... Eve considered him your replacement. I didn't realize God did, as well."
He didn't like talking about this. For one, he'd been fortunate enough that "Abel" hadn't remembered the events of his past. His death, in particular. If it was discussed enough, memories might start surfacing. Keiichi worshipped the ground he walked on, but the memories of someone killing you weren't exactly relationship cementers. Naoya had said "your" replacement, whether it was a slip or not was unclear. This was the first time he'd felt unsure in a converation with Keiichi. He could only wait to see how the teenager would react.
Himitsu looked up. Knocking. They were here, but she didn't think she could leave right now. She hoped Eriol would answer it. Ideally the doll would tell them to come back another time. But they might try to force their way in. She refocused on Keiichi and Naoya. This could go very badly...

K1 silently listened to everything Naoya had said. His outburst from before had finally worn down, though he was still a giant pile of emotions at the moment. He looked away from Naoya.
"...Replacement... I'm sorry, but can I have some time... by myself?" K1 finally requested. He walked over to and sat down on the bed again.
Out in the main part of the shop, Eriol ended up opening the door for Minato's group. "I'm sorry, but the shop is closed at the moment--"
"Our friends are in there," Minato said.
"We would like to go in and get them, and neither of them particularly care much for this shop," Naoto said.
"...Please excuse me." Eriol closed the door and walked to K1 and Naoya's room, where he stood by Himitsu.
"The guests outside say that they need to get their friends now," Eriol stated.

Himitsu glanced at Naoya. She would only honor Keiichi's request if Naoya did. She was a bit taken back by the... almost pity in the man's face. Naoya lifted a hand, but paused and nodded, "We're giving him the time he requested," he said flatly to Himitsu.
Himitsu didn't move. In an act that just might surprise Keiichi considering Naoya's personality, he made the motion to leave first. He almost ran into Eriol because of it, as the doll had just come in. Himitsu nodded to the doll, "I'll meet them. Keiichi, if you need anything let me know."
"I'll handle it if he does," snarled Naoya. Himitsu at this point was having to rethink what their relationship was. It seemed that "Cain" was far closer to "Abel" than she has suspected a murderer could be. She said nothing but headed out of the room, Naoya on her heels. Naoya closed the door behind himself and looked out towards the crowd at the door. His face had returned to a glare seconds before he looked up, it was likely all the group would have been able to see.
Himitsu walked towards the wall and turned on a light before going to the door and opening it, "You're welcome to come in, but please be quiet. Keiichi has requested we leave him alone for the time being."
"Is he all right...?" Yuugi asked.
Himitsu gave a somewhat pained smile, "His only issues right now are emotional..."
She stepped back from the door to allow the group in. She noted Naoto and Kanji, politely bowing to them. She had not met them yet, after all.

Minato had a pained expression on his face as he walked into the shop. "...You told him about Kaini?" It was only the logical conclusion at this point. That was probably the only thing that could send K1 for a loop like this other than Belphegor having kidnapped Naoya himself.
Inside the room he'd been staying in for over a week now, K1 stared off into space. So Kaini had been protecting him, despite the fact that they were on completely opposite ends of what was about to be a giant war. Even though they were to soon be enemies, Kaini had still cared for him like a brother. And now...
K1 shook his head. He couldn't imagine what Belphegor was doing now. He didn't want to imagine it. It was all too terrible. Too horrible.
He didn't care about whatever was going on with Minato at this point. All he wanted was his brother back.
And for the first time since the Lockdown, K1 broke down and wept.

Naoya's head turned to the side as he heard what sounded like stifled sobs. If anyone was paying attention to the man they'd see a softer expression than any of them had ever seen the man carry. Actually, the only one who'd seen it before was Keiichi. Without a word he opened the door and went into the room, closing the door behind himself.
Keiichi had his head in his hands, and didn't seem aware Naoya had come in. He sighed and sat down next to the bed and put his arm around the teenager. He did look a little annoyed, but if Keiichi looked up he'd allow the expression to soften. Keiichi hadn't cried like this since he was a kid. He made sure that if the teenager wanted it, he could bury his head in Naoya's chest. -----
Himitsu nodded, "I had no choice. He knows Kaini is Seth, as well," she turned her head as she heard the door open, but didn't say anything about it.
Atem had raised an eyebrow at Naoya's shift in expression. Keiichi had insisted that Naoya was a good person, which Atem still didn't agree with. But that expression... it seemed Keiichi had been truthful about there being more to the man than his surface or past. Yuugi watched the door close and looked at Himitsu.
She shook her head, "It's a surprise to me as well," she doubted Atem was the only one startled by Naoya's behavior.

K1 didn't look up, but he realized almost immidiately that it was Naoya next to him once the man put his arm around K1. He continued to sob. He just couldn't take any of this anymore. The lockdown, the island, the Throne of Bel... he just wanted things to be normal again. But that couldn't happen now... and humanity was on a fast track to failing their trial. He had to do this. For the sake of everyone.
And that included Kaini. And to do that, he had to rescue his brother. To hell with the rest of the group. They didn't even try to rescue him from the sound of things.
He looked up at Naoya, and wiped away some tears. "Thanks, Naoya..."
-----------------
Souji had scowled at first, but when he heard the sobbing from Keiichi's room, he realized what was going on. Naoya was going to comfort Keiichi. And it didn't even seem to be for some reason like manipulating Keiichi to his side. He already had that down pat. Probably had for about ten years at least.
Minato turned to Himitsu. "Can we have their COMPs back at least?"

Naoya was actually extremely annoyed. The whole reason for killing his parents (albeit indirectly) and getting close to Abel hadn't been cause he cared about the boy. Far from it, when he had moved in with Keiichi had has still be seething with jealousy, but had put it aside. If he could turn Abel away from God, he'd have his revenge. Those years they had spent together, however, had caused a development he hadn't quite expected. Although he wouldn't admit it to anyone, including Keiichi, he cared for the boy.
None of this crossed his face. Naoya had always been a master at concealing his real emotions. He had traces of sympathy in his expression, but it was mostly flat. If they were going to rescue Kaini, they had to go soon. It would mean revealing a function of his COMP he hadn't fully shared with Keiichi, but somehow he didn't think Belphegor would let Kaini live once he'd had his "fun". It was another reason he wanted his COMP. Kaini's would show up... but only if he was alive. All thanks to the mind link the things established.
None of this should mean Naoya had abandoned his plans, either. He still wanted to make sure Abel forsook God. But there had been unforeseen developments as he carried out this plan... -----
Himitsu looked towards Minato and shook her head, "I will be giving the COMPs back to them when they come out. On that note..."
Himitsu walked into yet another back room, and it was by this point some of the group was wondering how many the woman had. A few crashing noises were heard and she came out holding a white and black COMP, one in each hand. She glanced at the door, "They'll likely be out soon."
Yuugi has been looking at the door with a concerned expression on his face the whole time. Atem wondered how much of a caring big brother Naoya was. He certainly had two faces, it seemed.

After another moment, K1 stood up. "...We should go. We've got a job to do, right? We've got to go kill that bastard Belphegor." He forced a smile, and opened the door to the room, seeing the rest of the group out in the shop. "Oh... hi guys."
"Are you alright?" Naoto asked. K1 nodded.
"Just fine. Me and Naoya just need our COMPs back and we'll be fine."
Souji said nothing. It looked like whatever Naoya had done in there had calmed K1 down a bit. He couldn't quite decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing...

Naoya nodded, grateful the entire thing hadn't derailed. The fact that Yuzu's leaving had all but crushed the teenager hadn't been the only reason he was glad for it. The other was the girl was a terrible influence. On all ends, he was quite aware she'd been trying to talk him into just running away from the whole thing. That would have ended badly for everyone. He stood up and followed after Keiichi, his face flat with a hint of glare at the group.
Himitsu nodded and handed the teens their COMPs. Naoya took it somewhate politely but made no effort to hide that he was checking its functions after getting it back. Himitsu said nothing, having expected that action. For all her power, she couldn't program her way out of a paper bag. The only possible way she could have messed up the systems would have been to hit them with a hammer.
Yuugi forced a smile, "I'm sure he'll be all right..."
Atem winced a bit as Yuugi spoke. The shorter teen meant well, but it would likely just make Keiichi feel worse. Atem saw how his cheeks were wet. It was probably why Naoya had gone into the back room. Keiichi had broken down.
"Good luck," he said, "Yuugi, we should go."
Now was the time to give the teen his space. Belphegor's actions... all Keiichi's world could hope for at this point is that the blue haired teen would listen to his heart more than his cousin after taking the throne. Atem was convinced it would happen now. He turned and Yuugi hesitated before following after, "Well meet you back at the apartments," he told the group as he and Yuugi left.

Souji nodded to Atem and Yuugi as they left. They may have been leaving, but he wanted to keep an eye on the rest of the group.
"Me and Kanji are going to go too," Minato said. Souji said nothing. Raising an eyebrow at Souji's continued silence, Minato and Kanji both left the shop. Kanji had gotten hurt worse after the fight, and even with Souji's Victory Cry, he was still exausted.
K1 had practically snatched his COMP back from Himitsu, and began checking its functions as well. Good, all of his demons were here. He was going to need them all for this coming fight. He wasn't going to hold back against Belphegor.
"Where are we going to find Belphegor in the first place?" K1 asked Naoya.

Naoya pressed a few more buttons before closing his COMP, "He's alive," was the first thing he said. He knew Keiichi had been worried about that, "It looks like he's in the woods to the east."
Himitsu raised an eyebrow. How... exactly did Naoya know that? She glanced at Souji, who was still in the shop. She hoped he didn't have intentions of following the two. She would make no effort to stop him, and didn't even have intentions of warning him against it. But Keiichi had almost gone beserk on her after waking up. There was a side to the teen... he would be able to rule over the demons well if he accomplished his task. She just worried about the humanity he was going after the Throne to save.
Naoya closed his COMP and stuck it in one of the hidden pockets inside his cloak. He waited for Keiichi to say to go. He wasn't sure if his cousin would ask about his knowledge of Belphegor's location or if his worry for his twin would override it. He glanced at Souji, "You don't want to follow us," he stated flatly. It wasn't just for Souji's safety from Belphegor. Keiichi would not take it well if they were trailed.

"Belphegor's a powerful demon. I've fought him. You're going to need my help," Souji stated.
"Naoya's right. You don't want to come with us," K1 stated. As it was, he was curious as to why Souji wanted to come with him so badly. K1 had taken down demons by himself easily. So why was...
"And I'm not getting you involved in the Throne of Bel either," K1 said. Souji said nothing that suggested he was surprised by this, which confirmed what K1 was thinking. "They told you, didn't they. Yuugi and Atem told you guys. Dammit!" He turned around. "Let's go, Naoya."
Yuugi and Atem had promised not to tell. They'd promised K1, and then they'd broken it.
Everything seemed to be falling apart again.

Naoya nodded, pausing to smirk at Souji when Keiichi wasn't looking before following the teenager. While the two spiky haired teens might not realize it, they had made a mistake. He'd guessed that's what was going on from the way Souji's glares towards him had seemed to intensify, but Keiichi had confirmed it.
Keiichi had started having issues trusting people when Yuzu and Midori had walked out on him upon his decision to seek the Throne. Midori wasn't that big of an issue with her black and white morality, but Yuzu had really shooken the teenager. It was probably a benefit Atsuro had stayed around. As it was, he was probably the only one the teenager considered a friend now. In any case, it had distracted Keiichi from asking about how he knew where Kaini was.
Naoya would keep his ears open for Souji. It didn't seem out of the question the teen would try to follow them anyways.
(OOC: Thread wrap unless you wanna write something for Souji. I'll let you decide who makes the new thread. It'll be at the Creepy Castle. Just let me take the reins just before they get in so I can do that thing we've both looking forwards to. The spectacle is at the far end of the courtyard area, so they'd see it if the managed to knock the drawbridge down.
The drawbridge will be up, so getting in won't be the easiest thing. And with the COMPs, both K1 and Naoya will feel the darkness practically spilling out of the castle.)
