K1 blinked. "Eight years?! Woah. Thats a really long time. I don't have the patience for that kind of stuff, so yeah..."
He paused, lost in thought until he could think of another question. "So what did Atem look like anyways before he started sharing a body with you? It's a bit weird visualizing him when all I know is you."

"Gramps got annoyed over it too. Even tried to take the puzzle from me a few times... I... uh.... well.... had a reason for working on it and stuff...." Yuugi trailed off, suddenly looking more sheepish than usual.
When K1 asked him the next question, he seemed grateful for the change of subject, "Well, he actually looked a lot like me. He was taller, though. Although I'm kind of short... he was the height he should have been at sixteen. His hair was a bit spikier too, like his bangs had these kind of lightning bolt patterns going up," Yuugi indicated his own bangs, making a kind of zigzag pattern up from them, "Oh, and he was heavily tanned Like you'd expect an Egyptian to be. More in shape as well, actually."
And back to leaving things unsaid because he didn't think of them. Such as how exactly he knew what Atem looked like. The only explanation that could easily be thought of by one not familiar with Yuugi's adventures was that Yuugi was much older than he looked...

K1 blinked at the description. It almost reminded him of how Atem tended to hold himself when he was taking Yuugi's form. Not only that, but that resemblance was almost uncanny... it was almost like...
He relaxed. So that's why.
"I see... man, reincarnation can be a bitch, huh?" K1 asked suddenly. Someone unfamilliar with his own adventures would have no idea what he was talking about, but to K1, it was a fairly personal matter.

"Reincarnation?" Yuugi thought for a moment, "But if he sealed his soul then how would it reincarnate? I mean, I guess you could use that to explain Atem's priests, but how would that work for me?"
Atem had taken a sudden interest in the conversation as well. He had sealed himself, and if any of his soul had escaped, so would Zorc's. He paused in his thoughts. That would provide a bit of an explanation as to Bakura and Zorc when he was known as Yami Bakura. Who had acted more than a little like the Thief King by the same name... Atem was back in his own thoughts, drawing comparisons in his mind.
Yuugi suddenly realized K1 was implying something, "Uh... please don't find this rude, but how would you know? I mean... ah... if you can tell me..."
(OOC: Ah Yuugi, you have no understanding of fanon. X3 I totally came up with that theory about Yuugi and Atem before, whereas only the "light" half of Atem's soul was reincarnated, hence Yuugi's stunted growth and such. XD
Although it makes for terrible "soul mate" puns if you ship them. >_>)

K1 thought about that. "That's a good point... maybe he only sealed part of his soul on accident or something..."
And at Yuugi's other question, K1 realized he'd said something he shouldn't have. "Huh? Ah, just forget it. It's nothing. Really."
He looked back at Yuugi. "Honestly." These were incredibly obvious attempts to hide something.
It's not like anyone would believe that he was the reincarnation of someone who lived nearly several thousand years ago.

"I guess it might be kind of embarassing... okay."
"So... uh... is there anything else...?" Yuugi's attempt at switching topics was as forced and transparent as K1's attempt at avoiding topics had been.
It was rather cute, actually, and something yaoi fangirls would have a field day with. Probably a good thing Midori was in a huff at the moment.

K1 thought about it for a second. "No, that would be all. Thanks."
He yawned. He was getting tired himself. A mixture of exaustion and just how late it had gotten.
"Well, I'm going to go to bed. I'll see you in the morning," K1 said, and headed back down to his own bedroom.

"Sure! See you tomorrow then." Yuugi split from K1 and headed for his own bedroom. Atem stayed quiet until Yuugi closed his own bedroom door behind him. "Partner, we should probably look into getting an apartment. Michael may have given us money, but $30 a day is a rather large waste."Yuugi yawned as he sat on the bad, "That'll gives us an opportunity to talk to Minato-kun aain! Should we ask K1-kun to tag along... Wait, no. He probably wants to catch up with Midori-chan. I know if Anzu suddenly popped up, I'd wanna spend time with her.""It would be best not to assume. You gave that COMP. Its useful for more than life or death situations. It would be best to not walk in on Minato-kun unannounced, as well.""Oh, right! Good idea!"Yuugi flipped out his COMP and wrote two messages. The one to K1 went like this: It took him ten minutes to get that inputted. He really needed to learn shorthand. He typed the message to Minato before closing the COMP and sticking it in his pocket. The way the hotel worked... he didn't particularly wanted the COMP teleporting away on him. It didn't take him long to fall asleep. (OOC: I'm PMing Minato with his message. X3 I've also brought up a dream in regards to Persona3 and crossovers I had last night and the train of thought that sprouted from that. I'd be glad to note you with the details. XDD If K1 wants to tag along, I'll announce what Minato's response was later then through Yuugi.  ) |

K1 had gone back to his room, really not feeling any better than he had earlier that day. Not only that, but he was a terrible liar. He had a feeling that Yuugi had picked out his lies pretty darn quickly.
In any case, it was time to go to bed. It had been a very exausting day, both mentally and physically.
Just after climbing in, K1's COMP beeped. He read the message, and then quickly typed in another message.
