A living, walking doll strolled into the wooded area, pointing a rather large bronze key at Atem. The other, unmoving doll with its humanlike features straddled that "uncanny valley" that disturbed normal people. The walking one plunged right into it, with wooden movements, clearly unnatural body parts, and the plain fact that he was missing half of his face.
"Get away from that doll..." Eriol said. There was something wrong about his voice too. It took K1 a few moments to realize that it was speaking through a voice box in his head.
"Who are you?" K1 asked as he summoned Pyro Jack and Kikuri-Hime. The Doll tilted its head to the side.
"Were you trying to revive him? Tut tut... that won't do..." Eriol said, and pointed the key at the sky. Several lightning bolts flew from the clouds above and struck the ground. One hit a tree instead, causing it to catch fire. It was then it started to rain.

Atem's eyes narrowed at the doll. He didn't seem disturbed by the missing parts of face. The talking threw him off a bit, but he counted out five cards with his hand.
The Pharoah wasn't able to pull out his cards before having to jump away as the tree to his side (the one not facing the still doll) burst into flames from the lightning bolts from the sky. He drew his cards as he rolled. The "turn" order had been set, he would be the last to go. At least he only had one target to worry about.
He threw two cards to an area roughly the center of the field. Two "presences" appeared, one next to Atem and the other seeemed to cover the whole field.
(OOC: Okay, I don't remember the exact rules for three opponents. Short part of the anime and all, so I'm winging it. If Eriol tries to attack again, a trap called "Mirror Force" will trigger. In the effort of keeping this sportsmanlike, it'll simply mean Eriol is hit with his own attack, but it won't "destroy him". If you want him to have two attacks (although if he gets tagged wtih his own attack he might not be able to) then he can target the presence next to Atem.
It's "Queen's Night" and the attack would have to be more than a Def of 1600 (which is the card stats, use your best judgement. XD)

K1 saw that it would be useless to negotiate, and moved up to attack Eriol.
"Pyro Jack, Agi!" K1 ordered. The flying, caped Jack-o'-Lantern fired several fireballs from his lantern at Eriol, who stumbled backwards from the attack, giving K1 enough time to run in and attack Eriol.
"Bah! Just die already!" Eriol yelled, and pointed his key at K1, sending several more lightning bolts at K1. At that moment, the trap card Atem had set activated and reflected all of them back at Eriol, sending the doll flying into a tree.
"Thanks..." K1 said. He was that close to dying just then...

"Don't relax just yet," Atem said, as he quickly drew a card.
Atem wasn't one for panicking, but there was certainly a "battle mode" he went into during a fight.
He looked at his cards for a few brief seconds before throwing down two. From one, a rather intense looking elven swordsman wearing green armor and a purple cape materialized. It held its sword in a threatening manner.
The other card vanished in a similar fashion to the barrier Atem had summoned the previous "turn".
(OOC: The summoned monster is Retrained Elf Swordsman, known as Obnxious Celtic Guardian in American game. If Eriol attacks it with force roughly equal or higher than 1900 ATK in the terms of Yuugiou. However, if the power is roughly 1400 to roughly 1899, the Swordman is destroyed and Atem takes damage equal to the difference. Even if the attack is 1900+, Atem still takes the diffrence in damage from 1400.
The other card is a trap, but isn't aimed at Eriol. If he can figure out where it is set, one could argue his "magic" is of the trap destroying kind. I'm leaving its actual location vague on purpose.)

Eriol picked himself back up. "So, you like card games, huh? How about a magic trick?" He pointed his key at the Elf Swordsman. "A typical fleshy body is controlled using electrical messages from that thing you call a brain. By using my electricity, I can interrupt those messages, and essentially destroy an organic..." He started cackling madly.
Why do I always get the mad ones? K1 thought to himself. Eriol stopped laughing, and fired another lightning bolt at the Elf Swordsman. "Though, he's a playing card, right? I guess I might just singe him instead..."
The lightning bolt had been a weak one, though, so didn't exactly kill the Elf Swordsman, giving K1 time to attack Eriol again, using the same tactics as before. This doll didn't seem to learn from anything. Or maybe he was, and just was trying to throw them off.

Acting as a card in ATK position, the swordsman held up his blade and deflected the attack back at Eriol. It was the only way for it to attack as well. It has been weaker than its own attack, which meant zero harm had come to it. If Eriol had been a card, he would have been defeated. However, the oddities of the way the island interperted the cards simply meant he got a bit of a jolt. Although, being the insane living doll he was, he probably didn't even notice it. But it was apparent that the elf was neither "organic" nor "just a card". The simplest description would have been "spirit". Atem drew another card. It was clear that the doll didn't get exactly what monsters created from ka were. It gave a temporary advantage. He threw down a card and a light shot from his deck into his hand. Some card had replaced the card he had just "cast". An odd yellow mechanical thing materialized next to the Retrained Elf Swordsman. It's "arms" crossed in front of it and it planted its "feet", as if it was preparing for a blow. One standby phase passed... Atem thought to himself. It wouldn't have been clear why even if someone could read his thoughts. "Retrained Elf Swordsman, attack the doll," Atem said. The elf ran forward and swung his sword. If Eriol wasn't paying attention he'd be tagged. (OOC: Atem summoned Yellow Gadget in defense position. Even if Eriol destroys it, he won't take damage. The previous rules for the Swordsman still apply. Summoning Yellow Gadget allows the player to take one Green Gadget from their deck and place it in their hand, hence the "replacement" card. The standby phase thought relates to the trap Atem set. As for the elf's attack, it has an ATK of 1400, and since Eriol isn't a card, it basically means he just slices at the doll. However, Eriol can attack back. More that 1400 but less than 1900 means the elf is destroyed, Atem taking the difference in damage. More than 1900 means Atem gets tagged, but the elf returns to its position by Atem. If you want to see the cards visible, click these links. Eriol ended up getting hit by the Elf Swordsman's attack on account of his arm falling off right before he could dodge out of the way.
"That could be a problem," Eriol said, as he moved to grab the arm, as it was still hanging onto the key. K1 saw the opprotunity and kicked the key away.
"Kikuri-Hime! Grab it!" K1 ordered. The demon moved over and grabbed the arm, looking a bit repulsed at it.

Atem caught onto what K1 was trying to do as he pulled another card. The doll's power seemed to come from the key. Atem's first thought was destroying it, but the chances of it being an artifact were high, and artifacts didn't exactly "destroy" well. But he could keep it from the doll... Atem pointed his finger at the "presence" next to him. A armored woman flashed before vanishing in light along with a card Atem had adjusted so it was slightly higher than his others. Above him, a brown skeletal creature appeared. "Curse of Dragon, get that key from Kikuri-Hime!" Atem pointed to K1's demon to indicate who he meant, "Retrained Elf Swordsman, distract the doll!" The odd draconic creature flew towards the demon to comply with Atem's request. The elf ran behind it and swung at Eriol in an attempt to use its attack as a barrier between the doll and arm holding the key. (OOC: Atem summoned "Curse of Dragon". Its got nothing special going for it, but he did have to use Queen's Knight as Tribute. ATK is 2000, and what would be used to calculate damage and whether or not it gets destroyed, DEF is 1500.) Oh, Yellow Gadget's DEF is 1200, which since its in defense mode is what Eriol's attack would be up against. "Kikuri-Hime, throw the dragon that key!" K1 yelled. The demon complied, and tossed the key (which had reverted down to the size of a normal key now) at Curse of Dragon for it to catch.
"No!" Eriol screeched, and ran to get it, only to be blocked by the sword slash of the Elf Swordsman. "I have to-- -brzzt-" At that moment, the key in the doll's back stopped turning, and he collapsed to the ground.
"...That was anticlimatic," K1 said, as he hesitantly approached the doll.

The Curse of Dragon swooped down and caught it with ease that seemed odd for its general construct. It flew over to Atem and offered its tail to the teen, who took the key.
He drew another card, and held one to the side allowing a monster that looked very similar to the yellow mechanism at his side to materialize as another card "replaced" where it had been in his hand.
"Everyone, get on the defensive," Atem said, causing all his monsters to take a more defensive stance. Atem made sure he was standing beside the poised Swordsman, "Is it really down?"
He didn't trust the situation. He had heard the "short" for lack of a better word, but he wasn't going to drop his guard until he was sure. That hadn't even been a difficult fight, and if some organization had predicted death, he had trouble accepting that this was the end of it.

As K1 got closer to the doll, he could suddenly tell that there were parts of the doll's back missing, specifically, all of the gears and clockwork inside, which wasn't moving. From the looks of things, something had jammed the gears. Probably a rock.
"He's not down for good," K1 said. "We should probably get out of here before he wakes up. Agreed?"

"It looks like its had a rough time of it..." Yuugi's voice was full of sympathy. Even Atem felt some, but he agreed with K1 even more.
"Agreed. We better take this with us," Atem held up the key as the monsters and held cards vanished, the deck in his pocket "filling up" again. He didn't know too much about clockwork mechanisms, but if the doll was jammed it wasn't likely to get up.
Atem turned around and began to walk away, but he stopped to make sure K1 was with him. He wanted to ask more about the Laplace business, but it would be safer to do so away from the doll.

K1 returned Kikuri-Hime and Pyro Jack to the COMP before walking out from the wooded area and heading for a picnic area to get away from the rain.
Once reaching there, he looked up at the sky. "It doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.." He looked over at Yuugi. The Death Clock had disappeared, meaning that they had definitely changed their fates.

Yuugi told Atem about how the clock had disappeared, and Atem acknowledged it with a nod. He was looking at the key when he went back into the puzzle, causing the predictable personality shift.
Yuugi was turning the key over in his hand. It really wasn't all that impressive. It had shrunk after being seperated from the doll, so it obviously had some properties that its simple design didn't indicate. He glanced at the rain when K1 spoke before going back to the key.
"I can't figure out what this is about. The other me's pretty stumped too, although he's pretty sure its an artifact of some sort..." Yuugi looked at K1 after finishing his observation.
(OOC: Oh, now that I'm keeping with the way they refer to each other better, I thought I'd point out in case you missed it. Yuugi refers to Atem as "the other me" ("mou hitori no boku" in romaji, although I may have screwed the spelling up) and Atem refers to Yuugi as "partner" ("aibou" in romaji). K1 might have picked up on that.
And Atem identifies any item with significant non-scientific power as an artifact. Its a more generic term. Summoning lightning counts as significant, especially since from Eriol's back story its quite old... although its got nothing on three millenia. XD)

K1 looked over Yuugi's shoulder at the key. "It definitely looks magical. It could be demon made, or maybe it only reacts in the hands of that doll." That, actually, seemed to be the case, since it shrunk once the arm was seperated from the main body. In this form, though, it looked like just a normal skeleton key.
"Maybe there's some kind of energy that doll can generate that can make it grow larger or something..." K1 theorized. "Well, in any case, we're safe for now."
