Midori nodded. "...you should be able to see Death Clocks, right? If you can see mine, then I'm human!" Of course, that was the wrong thing to say, as Midori had completely forgotten that the Death Clock disappeared if you had more than a week to live.
Oops didn't cut it.

"...what clocks?"
However, somehow Midori's... frankness had convinced Kaini she was human. But that managed to lay more suspicion on Naoya. The girl, who his mind kept insisting he had seen somewhere, was trying to warn him against Naoya. He held his thumb above a confirmation button.
"Don't. You just got your COMP, I highly doubt whatever demon you defeated will last more than half a second against my own," he stated flatly.
Kaini twitched. Demon? "You're the one the angel mentioned!" he shouted.
Possibly a bit self-righteously. The kind of self-righteous that would summon up painful memories for Midori...

Midori looked down. That had been rather self righteous sounding... but she had to shake that thought out of her mind. This kid was obviously an enemy of Naoya. And if he was an enemy of Naoya, that meant he was Midori's friend, right? At least that's what she hoped.
Midori moved a little closer to K2. She could at least try to help him if the battle came to that, then.

That settled it for Naoya. But it was a rather interesting development as well. If God had gone to someone else to be his Messiah, it mean that this boy would be fighting Keiichi at some point. Naoya paused for a moment, and it was the closest the man was likely capable of his train of thought derailing. If what he thought was right... and God cursed him for killing his brother.
"I'm not the one you're supposed to fight, am I?"
Kaini paled a bit. What bit of information had he given that revealed that? But the angel had mentioned a test, she hadn't mentioned how he was supposed to pass it. Maybe he was supposed to pass it by not attacking this man. And...
...Kaini suddenly collapsed to his knees, managing to keep a grip on his COMP as he did so. Naoya looked surprised and stepped back as the teen grabbed his head like some kind of massive headache had hit. What had actually happened was images flashing so fast he couldn't pin them down. And something telling him that killing Naoya for whatever reason was likely the worst thing he could do. He didn't know why, but the feeling was completely unshakable...

The moment Kaini fell to his knees, Midori ran over to his side. "Hey! Are you okay?" She seemed rather concerned for this person she'd just met. Probably because of how much he reminded her of the two people she'd come here in the first place for.

Kaini nodded weakly, "I-I'm fine... just.. we can't kill him."
Knowing Kaini was too distracted to pay attention to his expression and well aware that nothing he did would further sour Midori's opinion of him, Naoya grinned. He wasn't completely sure why God had chosen to deliver that little message so forcefully to the teen, but he now knew what had happened. And it didn't seem the teen knew why killing him would be a bad idea. He gave the type of grin that revealed his teeth and turned to leave.
(OOC: Many myths of Cain describe a punishment sevenfold upon the one who kills him. Not that Midori is really capable of figuring that out, but that's what Naoay is thinking of.)

Midori glared at Naoya before turning back to Kaini. "Are you sure you're alright? You don't look too good... If you need healing, I can help you or something."
This was all just too weird. The day had been so normal, and then, bam, Naoya, and then double bam, a clone of Keiichi shows up with a punny name.

This girl was really nice. He shook his head and got to his feet. Actually, he didn't feel to bad. Not even a lingering headache. Some psychological effects, sure, but nothing to be concerned about. Naoya pushed open the door to the church and left. Kaini turned to Midori.
"Mind if I ask who Keiichi is?"
He looked a little nervous. He hoped that wasn't rude. But she had mistaken him for this "Keiichi". That was a lead, right? He glanced at where Naoya was left for a second before turning back to Midori to wait for an answer. Killing was wrong, sure, but why did it seem like killing the silver haired man was... bad? As in a bad idea. Okay, maybe he did have a headache... he also had no idea where on God's green Earth he was.

Midori looked to the side. "Keiichi's... a friend. He looks a lot like you. A lot like you. The clothes and everything. He even wears headphones, though his have these weird antenna things. He's... that man, Naoya's, cousin."
She really didn't look like she wanted to talk about these kind of things, but if Kaini prodded her enough, she'd probably explain more.

Kaini nodded, realizing her hesitation. He hoped he could get away with one more question, "Does... does he have a brother? One that lives far away that wouldn't know him?"
Why were these thoughts even occuring? It would be one thing to have a brother, but a long lost twin? That seemed straight out of some corny soap opera. I mean, really? A long lost twin he'd never even missed? What were the odds? He had to admit, though, it would explain the way his mother had been acting. He wasn't looking Midori in the eye. If that Naoya was his brother's cousin... that made things a little complicated.

"Not one that I know of... but we really didn't have time to talk about our personal lives in the Lockdown anyways. It was always dodging demon attacks, worrying about rogue demon tamers, and hoping you didn't get killed," Midori said.
She stood up. "If you're new on the island, then... we should go find you somewhere to stay." It was a fairly transparent attempt at changing the topic.

Kaini blinked, "...Island?"
It might have struck Midori as odd that he didn't question the Lockdown thing. Although it was possible she might pass it off as him having been caught in it. Especially with the usage of the word "angel" earlier. But the angel hadn't mentioned anything about an island. His eyes widened.
"Wait, are we in some other part of Japan?" he paled a bit, "I... I don't have a passport..."

Midori shook her head. "I wish. We're on some weird island that a bunch of people just get teleported to using weird portals and stuff."
She didn't seem too depressed about it though, as she was smiling. "But it's really cool! A bunch of people from anime and video games and stuff are here too! Like, I saw Yuugi from Yuugioh, and Chibiusa from Sailor Moon, and Nanoha from Nanoha and a buncha Vocaloids and..." She started going on and on about anime people she'd met so far on the island.

And then it hit him. That's where he'd seen her before!
"Wait... are you Dolly?"
Well, it was the most coherent thing he could get out. The concept of Yuugi, Sailor Chibi Moon, and some girl he'd never heard of before but likely the star of an anime... the thought of them being real kind of broke his brain. At least he'd managed something productive. He looked past Midori. The Church seemed kind of abandoned...

Midori stood up and assumed her signature magical girl stance, with her right hand outstretched into the air and her left hand clenching her COMP.
"That's right! Magical Girl and Camgirl Dolly at your service!" Midori giggled.
