Richard used his spell in a vain attempt to kill Lucifer. Meanwhile, Black Mage brought down the knife onto where the top of Valentina's spine was.

Black Mage covered Valentina's mouth so she wouldn't scream. He stabbed her in the back of the head and sliced open her jugular vein for good measure. Black Mage quickly tied a rock to Valentina's legs and threw the corpse into the lake with magic. Valentina's dead body started to sink due to the rock around her legs.

Lucifer walked away headless, his head laughing at Richard and Black Mage. His hand held the jewel piece up and Schrodinger reappeared, taking it before warpjumping away. Lucifer's head then regenerated and he turned into a bunch of bats that flew off.
