Luke didn't seem too shocked. In fact, what Crono had said all but confirmed something Luke had been thinking in the first place anyways. It was still a bit crazy, though, and he gave what was probably the expected response.
"W-Wait, so you actually traveled through time?" Luke asked. He scratched the back of his head. Well, it certainly explained a few things that were going on. Definitely not all of them, of course, but a few of them.
"I've never heard of this Guardia kingdom, though. Like I said, Guy's family weren't exactly royalty. Are you sure you're from some other time?" Luke asked. He heard of artes that could temporarily bring people into other dimensions from Jade before. Apparently they used those at the Arena so competitors could fight people from other dimensions.
Luke suddenly thought of something. If this guy was really from some other time, then maybe he knew where they were. If he remembered right, it wasn't possible to move through time and space at the same time. Or something like that. "Uh, by the way, you wouldn't happen to know where we were, would you?"
(OOC: The Tales Cameo team for Abyss is fought after getting to the highest level of the team fights in Abyss. XD It's basically a bunch of cameo characters from other Tales games that are explained away by some special Fonic Artes that the arena owners use.)

Crono could tell Luke wasn’t ready. He sighed and looked back at the fire, but he was back to looking at Luke when he mentioned he’d never heard of Guardia Kingdom. So way the heck in the future, and apparently Guardia had fallen into obscurity. He opened his mouth to answer if he was sure he was from another time when Luke asked if he knew where they were. Crono averted his glance.
“No idea, actually. The way I got here was a bit messed up compared to ‘normal’. There’s this void at the end of time and I kinda got thrown out of it after some weird distortion shot through it... I’m pretty sure I’m from another time though. What other options are there?”
Kid finally lost the fight to stay awake and fell to the side. The angle was just right that she was leaning against Luke. Any movement from him would likely deposit her on the ground or in his lap, though. Unless he grabbed her and laid her down. Crono glanced at her. It had to be the future, even Zeal hadn’t had ‘replica’ technology... right? He suddenly regretted not paying more attention, and Magus was probably thousands of years away. He sighed.

Luke thought about what Crono had said. A weird kind of distortion. Wait... He paled. Well, it had transferred him and Tear halfway across the world before. And that had been when it was weaker. Could it have really reached that far, that strongly? Crono hadn't seemed to have known about Fonons before. And that could be called a weird kind of distortion, couldn't it?
Before he had a chance to answer Crono, Kid slumped up next to him. Luke jumped, and grabbed her before she could fall over before gently lowering her onto the ground. Luke had noticed that she seemed rather tired. He yawned, but he still looked back toward Crono to answer him.
"I dunno. Maybe some kind of another dimension?" Luke asked. "To be honest, I'm not even sure this is my time if you traveled through time or something like that. I saw this monster thing earlier, and it didn't look like any I've ever seen." And Luke had seen a lot of monsters.

"Dimension?"
Crono gave Luke a strange look. Dimension, dimension... why was that word familiar? He scratched the back of his head as he thought, glancing to make sure Kid was alright before going back into his head. He was sure he'd heard it before, but he couldn't put his finger on just where. Dimension... sounded like something Lucca would come up with. Or Robo. Oh... with that it was probably technology based. He shrugged.
"I'm sticking with another time until I see evidence otherwise. That thing about the monster? Totally plausible. I mean, you'd be amazed what a few thousand years can do to the monster population. From prehistory to far future is pretty messed up too, for that matter... hey, you look about as ready to fall over as she did earlier," Crono pointed to Luke, "I can take first watch if you want."
Crono was going on the assumption Luke was an adventurer. Which meant he'd know about things like watches. With only two people there, Luke would have to take the second half of the night unless they wanted to get complicated with the schedule. Kid wasn't aware enough of things to do a watch. Even if she could alert them, he doubted she'd stay awake for one.

Just as Crono had said that, Luke had tried and failed to stifle a yawn. After it had faded, he looked back toward Crono and smiled. Man, he really was tired.
"Yeah, that'd be great, thanks," Luke said. He didn't lay down quite yet, though, as at that moment, he pulled a notebook and a pen from his pocket before beginning to write in it. If Crono leaned over to get a look at what Luke was writing, he'd see that it was in a script that wasn't much like the kind that Crono's time used, and in fact seemed more like musical notes than actual letters.
To be honest, Luke wasn't really sure why he bothered writing in this thing still. The reason why he'd had to write in it in the first place had turned out all wrong anyways; he hadn't really had amnesia, after all. But he supposed it was just from force of habit. He'd been writing in that notebook for so long that it just felt odd for him to not record the day's events in it.
After a minute or so, he closed the notebook and placed it next to him before lying down on the grass. It was a good thing the ground here was soft. If Crono didn't say anything to him, he'd probably be asleep within a few moments.

Crono did raise an eyebrow as Luke pulled out the notebook. He didn't say anything though. He stood up and stretched his arms, noting the difference in temperature between his back and the fire. Whatever time he'd been deposited in, it was a different season. It had still been around summer in Guardia.
He glanced at Luke and caught some of the writing as the notebook was closed. Those looked something like notes, not letters. Although the paper didn't have lines like he saw sheet music have. He scratched his head. That was odd, usually any differences in language weren't an issue. Then again, knowing Lucca she'd compensated for that with the Gate Key. And he had no doubt Belthazar would have done something similar with the Epoch.
Although if that was the case... why could he understand Luke? He was clearly from a different time then his own, even if he'd been thrown through time as well. That didn't seem likely. The Gates had stopped functioning shortly after they'd defeated Lavos. The fact that there had been time to get the people they knew back to their own times was somewhat lucky. Sort of. They would have probably remembered the Epoch then too. Man his mom had ripped him a new one over that little mini adventure. It wasn't his fault she had chased his cat into the Gate, was it?
He yawned and stretched again. Probably better to walk away from the fire a bit if he was going to stay up half the night. Between his worry about Lucca and the whole new mess that seemed to be unfolding, the stress hadn't been small. He still didn't know where Lucca was, or if she even had the Gate Key. What were the odds she had vanished into time? After all, Gaspar hadn't been able to pinpoint her location in time...
He let out a sigh and leaned against a tree about five feet from the fire. It was large enough that he'd be able to get a good watch, but he was far enough the heat wouldn't put him to sleep. The Gates had been created by Lavos. He glanced at Kid. Even if it had been Schala somehow guiding them from outside time, a theory Lucca had come up with as a possibility, the Gates had stopped working after Lavos was defeated. He let out a yawn and used the tree to guide himself into a sitting position.
He'd fail at the job he'd offer to take in less than an hour. Anyone wandering through the area would find the spiky redhead asleep. The position of the fire in relation to his angle meant even after dying down some, Kid would be concealed, and Luke would only be partially visible. So much for not lowering one's guard...
(OOC: Okay, now you can bring Frog in once you app him. XD)

Not too far from where Luke, Crono, and Kid were sleeping, a portal opened. It was much like a Gate, but the person who was being deposited from the Gate knew better than to think that. Lucca had said that the Gates' powers were weakening because Lavos was gone. This meant that what had swallowed him up in 1000 AD couldn't have been a Gate.
In any case, the question on Glenn's mind as he was thrown from the portal directly pertained to why he had been swallowed by the non-Gate in the first place. The second wondered where he was. It appeared to be the forest outside of Guardia Castle, but it was much too cold for the summer he had disappeared from.
He looked up as he smelled the smoke from some nearby campfire. Still tightly grasping the Masamune in his hand, Glenn approached the light glowing embers he could still see through the trees. He pushed back a branch as he came into a clearing of sorts. There was a campfire that appeared to have burnt down in cinders since the people surrounding it had fallen asleep. Asleep next to the fire was a long red-haired man that Glenn didn't recognize and what could only be Schala. His eyes widened as he realized this. But another thing was she seemed horridly underdressed. It wasn't to the degree that Ayla had been, but Glenn got the feeling she was only really wearing that all too familiar shirt. Glenn's eyes moved to the figure sitting against the tree on the other side of the clearing. That spiky red hair, the sword, it could only be Crono. And based on his position compared to the rest of the group, he had been on watch. Had being the key word.
Glenn silently crossed the clearing and walked over to the sleeping Crono. Finally, he put the end of the Masamune up against Crono's throat.
"It is not wise to fall asleep when you are on watch, Crono," Glenn stated in a loud enough voice that it would most likely wake Crono up.

Crono had actually begun to come somewhat out of his sleep when the tip of the blade ever so lightly pressed against his throat. Not that if it was all Glenn had done, he would have actually woken. He had actually lifted his hand to swat away the annoyance when he heard the voice, and what little of his mind was aware thought it was vaguely familiar.
He opened one eye and his entire body tensed up at the unfamiliar man before him. He had his left hand reaching for the sword at his side before stopping about halfway there. The man had a sword to his throat, and if he reached for his own it was not impossible he'd be decapitated. He'd been on watch and then he'd blown it and now a man he didn't know had a sword to his throat and...
Crono paused, eyes wide, and his eyes flicked to the blade. He managed to tense up more as he realized the identity of the blade. He swallowed hard, feeling the slight bit of extra pressure as his throat pushed against the sword. There were a lot of things. The sword was probably the biggest, but their was the stance, the expression carried in the eyes, and the fact that the man hadn't killed him in his sleep, which he could have done. Crono's eyes widened as the possibilities clicked into place. All of this had taken maybe five seconds.
"...Frog?"

Glenn slightly smiled and sheathed the blade upon Crono's realization of his identity. He nodded. "In the flesh. Though I prefer the name Glenn now."

Crono gave one of his characteristic grins. It meant it covered his entire face and he looked more like a fool then not. He put his right hand on the ground and his left hand on the tree behind himself to push up. He couldn't tell the time of night by the position of the moon, so it was anyone's guess what time it had made it to. He brushed off his back.
"That makes sense," he smiled, "I always thought you went by frog cause of Marle, anyhow."
The teenager's breath caught for a moment and he gave a quick jerk of his head. The fire had dimmed down to small flames and embers by this point. It was a really good thing the lightning had made the pit so deep. They might have started a fire otherwise. His eyes settled on first Luke and Glenn would probably notice a bit of heightened nervousness as he looked towards the blue haired girl. He let out a sigh of relief. If anyone would have been attacked, it was her. He let out a nervous laugh.
"Ahahaa... ah, no need to tell them about that, right? I just met Luke and I don't want to seem totally incompetent..." Crono paused, "Oh.. um... Luke says that isn't Schala...."
He didn't seem convinced as he said that, but one could see his thoughts skip again, "Wait, how did you get that form back?"
Well, there was always on possibility. Crono had heard all about the situation several times. The first time, he hadn't really been capable of listening. Getting yanked out of time and then being told you'd died wasn't exactly easy one one's brain. About all he remembered about that was Marle's tearful chattering and her arms arond his upper body. He'd been a bit surprised to see Magus with the group, but he'd gotten the story. So it didn't seem likely, but Crono sure as hell couldn't come up with any other options.

Glenn did notice Crono look toward Luke and then the girl who looked like Schala. Crono didn't sound like he believed that, but that Luke man seemed to. Glenn didn't know how Luke had come to that conclusion, and the woman seemed too much like Schala for it to be an uncanny resemblance. He doubted Luke's claim, but he could ask the man when he woke up.
"I'm not entirely sure. When I returned to my own time, I became like this," Glenn said. "Though, if I had to guess, I would say that it would be because Magus has died."
It was a statement of fact, with no emotion inherant in it. Glenn doubted Magus would have lifted the curse out of some kind of good will, and it wasn't like Glenn cared for the man anyways.

Crono gave a solemn nod. It seemed like Frog (Glenn, he told himself. Why was that so hard considering the appearance?) hadn't killed him. It had been possible, although not likely. Magus wasn't generally all that homicidal, and the second hand accounts he'd gotten of the encounter at the cape... well, it hadn't been likely. Crono crossed his arms and thought for a moment.
"That kinda sucks, though. Luke says she's," he indicated Kid, "is this clone thing called a replica. And that Schala is probably still alive. I'd kinda hoped Magus would find her again, y'know? Not that we'd know if he had..." Crono sighed and shook his head, "In any case, I think Luke's from the far future, the one we saved. Even Zeal couldn't clone people, and he uses these terms I've never heard. Fonist for magic user, for example."

A replica? Glenn looked toward Kid for a moment as Crono indicated her, and then looked back toward Crono. He nodded as Crono continued on. He didn't comment on the previous comment about Magus.
"How would people from his time be able to use magic?" Glenn asked. "Didn't that Spekkio creature say that humans had lost the ability to use magic?" He didn't know what to think on the clone comment, though. Perhaps Luke was from the far future.

Crono rubbed the back of his head. Yeah, that was a really good question. One he'd come up with several times and hadn't been able to come up with an answer that satisfied him. He stood there doing that for a few moments before shaking his head.
"Best I can figure is they figured out how again. I mean, didn't the Zeal people think magic was related to Lavos? If that's the case, I can't see how even we'd... hey, waitaminute," Crono paused, "How did you even get here? I got blasted out of Gaspar's place at the End of Time by this... white halo energy wavy thing," he paused again and his eyes widened. His next words were a bit panicked and rushed, "HaveyouseenLucca?"

That was a very good point. For some reason Glenn had not been able to fathom, he had still been able to use his Water magic despite the loss of Lavos, so their magic had to be linked to something besides it. So he guessed that it was possible magic had been rediscovered much, much later on.
He'd opened his mouth to answer Crono when Crono suddenly asked if he'd seen Lucca. Very quickly, too. Glenn blinked for a moment before responding.
"No, I have not. I only just arrived about five minutes ago myself," Glenn said. "Some sort of hole opened up and swallowed me before depositing me here. If I did not know better, I would say it was a Gate."
