Lucius blinked in genuine surprise as Takahashi called the power by name. He was pretty sure the man wasn't from a world where Persona were harnessed. It was a pretty rare power across the multiverse after all. Of course, than he got rude about it. It was probably the fear talking, but it didn't do much to lessen Lucius' annoyance.
"Couldn't you be a bit grateful? I just saved your ass, old man," Lucius crossed his arms, "And calm down, your pulse must really be through the roof. Don't blame me if your heart bursts. I don't expect you can use a Persona, so I'm pretty much all that's keeping you alive right now."

No, no Takahashi couldn't. If he could use a Persona, he highly doubted he'd be in this situation. He scowled, but there wasn't much he could do. The kid was right; he'd probably be dead if it weren't for that kid's help. Stupid Persona users. Actually, stupid superpowered freaks that were everywhere on that stupid island. The normal folks just tended to get screwed over a lot.
"Alright, alright. Thanks for... saving my life," Takahashi grumbled. He looked toward Lucius again. Well, as long as he was in here, he might as well ask some questions.
"Hey, do you know a guy named Tohru Adachi? Messy hair, never buttons up his damn jacket, always smells like cabbage?" Takahashi asked.

Lucius didn't alleviate the illusion of a punk kid as Takahashi thanked him. If he got bored, he could leave Takahashi to die. It was more than a little likely that if his Shadow showed up, he'd cause it to go berserk. With no one there to help him beat it down, the man would be screwed. It was the reason for the grin on his face, although he was back to rubbing his forehead. The Shadows were picking up in activity, he had to wonder how much time they'd have until the next rainstorm.
"Not that I can think of," Lucius said, "Should I?"
If Lucius had really cared to think about it, he'd realize he had. After all, he was one of three people the goddess Izanami had interfered with for her stint in that one world. Really, that world had an unheard of level of Persona activity, and the interferences therein was the big reason he was here.

Takahashi rubbed the back of his head. Damn, this kid hadn't. He'd been hoping this kid had some kind of loose connection to Adachi for... some reason. He was finding it hard to make coherant thoughts. Hell, even the events in this place were already starting to blur. It had to be this stupid fog.
"...Damn. I thought that since you were a Persona user, you might have heard of him," Takahashi said. "He's the guy who pushed me in here. He took this kid in who turned out to be some crazy sadistic psycho who went around paralyzing a bunch of kids yesterday with some poison he stole from the police station. I guess Adachi didn't like my snooping around too much."
Takahashi thought a little bit, but his headache, and really, everything in here, was making that hard. "...Hey, do you know a way out of here? My head's killing me, and I wanna go strangle that bastard Adachi now."

"I don't think humans can get out of here on their own. I've looked around for... well, for a while. If I had to guess I'd say I've been here for a few hours, but I really can't pinpoint anything. Not like this place has a sky you can tell time by..."
Lucius had looked behind himself as he spoke. He could get out just fine, but it wasn't consdusive to maintaining this disguise. The one 'person' he knew could get them out. Lucius sighed. Well, he'd probably kept him locked up long enough anyhow. He concentrated for a moment before turning back to Takahashi.
"You've got a migraine too, huh? I think its this damn fog... Maybe there's a place somewhere inside with less?"
The teenager doubted that was the case. Especially if his suspicions based on the level of Shadow activity were true. Takahashi didn't have more than a few hours real world time before it began to rain and the shit hit the fan. If that happened, Lucius would screw the disguise and get the hell out of there. This form was comparable to an avatar in some ways, if it died he wouldn't. Still, it was a hassle and it wasn't like he wouldn't feel the shadows ripping into him. His legs were feeling weaker, too.
"....And soon? I feel ready to fall down," Lucius stated with no regards to how that didn't click right with what he had just said.
----------
Teddie had sat down. He felt lonely. This was far worse than the time without sense he'd spent before he met Sensei and the others. It was impossible then for him to have a true sense of time. Now he did, and he knew it had been far too long since he'd seen anybody. He was about to tears when he heard a hissing sound followed by a pop and a thunk. He jumped up and turned in the direction of the noise, and saw that the padlock on the door had fallen off. It was partially melted, and the six-pointed star that had been on it was melted clean away.
"Sensei!?"
When no response came after a few moments, Teddie waddled over to the door. All he could see was fog past it. He stepped around the melted padlock, not wishing to get a shock burn like before. He stepped out into the fog, which quickly swallowed him. If it hadn't been Souji, than who had let him free...?

Takahashi scowled again. So this kid didn't know a way out. He was hoping he did (hell, it was possible they might have actually found their first suspect in those weird murders with this kid) so maybe he could get out of here before the fog made him pass out. This place just kept making him think about Ooishi anyways. And how he'd failed him.
Takahashi pulled a carton of cigarettes and a lighter from his pocket. He pulled out one of the cigarettes and lit it. He really needed a smoke. Anything to calm him down, and maybe help the headache.
"If there's a place with less fog, then we need to look for it now," Takahashi said. "I don't want to think about running into another one of those demons."

"Well, our options are that shrine or wherever you came from. Its a mansion, right? Traditional style?"
Lucius took a step towards where he'd seen the mansion before he cut off the majority of his non-human senses. Stumbling around like this was a literal pain, but it seemed easier to set Takahashi on edge like this. He reached forward and hissed as his hand hit a wooden display. He had to almost press his face against it to see it. He rubbed his temple as he read the kanji.
"Hey, who're the Sonozakis? They live here?"
Actually, the writing that indicated the people that lived here was written in blood. Lucius had noticed that, but it was dried enough that it seemed like it could be a poor quality ink. He scratched at it a bit and it came right up. Definently old blood. Once more Lucius thought about how fucked up the man's psyche must have been to create a world like this.

The mansion or the shrine. Takahashi didn't like those options. If they went to the shrine, it was entirely possible they would incur the stupid god who ruled this area's wrath. And Takahashi would like to escape this place alive, not found dead hanging from a telephone pole. Takahashi was now convinced that Oyashiro-sama had something to do with the events in Adachi's world. Maybe Inaba was where Hinamizawa was in Takahashi's world.
He paled and looked toward Lucius as he asked if the Sonozakis lived at this mansion place.
"If they don't live here now, they certainly did in the past. They're this yakuza that ruled over the entire Okinomiya area who we were pretty sure was trying to carry out this god's curse," Takahashi said. He blew out some smoke from his cigarette. "We heard some rumors that they had a torture chamber on their grounds somewhere... they apparently also always name their heirs so that they have the character for demon somewhere in their names, and then tattooing a demon on that heir too."
He finally dropped the cigarette and stomped it underfoot. "Lets not go to the shrine. If the demons are real, then Oyashiro-sama might be too. I don't wanna piss of a god if we decide to go snooping around in the honden or something."

Lucius smirked. Demons? The man before him was uninformed about this world, it seemed. Of course, that only made things more fun. He rubbed his forehead again. The fog seemed to be getting thicker. Lucius had lost complete track of time. He'd shown up on the Island before coming to the "TV World". If Takahashi was a police officer, he probably knew about the clean up he'd done. After all, that one man had bled a bit before Lucius managed him.
"If we're going to try the mansion, we should hurry up. The fog is getting thicker..."
He took a cautious step forward, feeling his way. He considered allowing himself to see better in the fog... if they didn't find a place with less fog soon, he'd do it. That stupid bear would have to find them now, even with the help he'd given it to teleport to this area. At least it could see clearly in all this fog. Stupid Shadows...

Takahashi wasn't looking forward to the prospect of going back in that mansioned, filled with blood and torture tools. But they didn't have much of a choice. And Lucius was right; the fog was getting thicker. Something was telling Takahashi that he didn't have that much time. Couldn't think of why he wouldn't have a lot of time. Maybe Adachi had told him something once or something like that.
"Yeah, alright. I think the door's thataway," Takahashi said, and started leading the way toward the mansion's doors. He managed to feel his way over to the still open doors, and work his way inside. The visibility did seem to be a fair bit better inside the mansion.
On the other hand... there were still torture tools everywhere. Including a dead body with a whip next to it. Obviously someone had whipped a body to death. Takahashi didn't bother getting a good look at the body before turning away.
"Ugh... Damn Sonozakis," Takahashi mumbled.

Lucius followed Takahashi's voice to find him. He held one hand forward as he walked, and it was a good thing. He might have faceplanted on the side of the building had he not. He stepped inside and paused as his foot hit something with the give of something like bread pudding. He looked down and stepped back before crouching down.
"Oh jeez. Hey, old man, I just found an arm!" He sounded a bit disgusted, but not as much as a fourteen year old boy should. He sounded more like a teenager playing a video game might at a gruesome scene. More intrigued that disgusted... which was all around disturbing, really.
Lucius glanced behind him. He couldn't guarantee where that Shadow would surface at. He jerked his head up as he heard what sounded like a squeaky floorboard. If he knew the layout of this building right, it was around the corner, further from where Takahashi had managed to get. A potential attacker or another aspect of this messed up world...?

Takahashi stopped as Lucius mentioned he'd found an arm. Probably the same arm that had been holding the doors closed before. Hadn't an arm been the only part of the dismembered body that had never been found? That the person who had hidden it had been supposedly demoned away?
"Is it a right arm?" Takahashi called. The missing arm, showing up here. He should have realized it sooner. Well, it wasn't like that would help the case any twenty years later. Ooishi was long gone now anyways... no one else would have cared about the case anymore.
He looked further down the hallway as he heard what sounded a lot like a squeaky floorboard. Another one of those demons? Takahashi knew that squeaky floorboards were often set up in mansions like these to warn for intruders, but this didn't sound like just a squeaky floorboard. But something was definitely coming.

Lucius looked aback ahead and his mouth dropped open. What? The human had just asked about the arm without flinching. For a moment Lucius forgot about the squeaking as he tried to process that. Maybe this world wasn't as far from this man as he thought. After all, Takahashi wouldn't be the only one here being untrue about himself, and it would explain some things.
The teenager pushed the thought out of his mind. No, perhaps Takahashi had just gotten used to his world. Or that squeak. Lucius stood up and had his Persona card summoned before he was fully straight. His fingers twitched over it and he dropped just a bit of his hindered gaze when he heard a familiar voice. One only recently familiar, but it was enough for him to drop his less than human eye sight and dissipate the card.
"H-hello...?"
The source of the voice wasn't around the corner yet. It had stopped moving, and with it the squeak had left. Teddie had stopped as he heard Takahashi speak. He had glanced back towards the floorboard that had squeaked. He'd almost missed that the squeak was different than his own. He narrowed his eyes and peered forward. Nope, the source of the voice had to be around the corner. He spoke again, his voice still shaking. This world was awful.
"A-Anyone there!?"

Takahashi narrowed his gaze, and it wasn't just because he was squinting to see further ahead. Whatever was around that corner had spoken. Obviously, it was what had made the squeaking noise. But that voice was familiar. Takahashi thought about it for a moment before it hit him. Takahashi had always had a good memory for voices, which was a good thing, because he was sure he'd only heard this one once. It was that weird blond-haired kid who had been hanging around with that Seta kid's group during the festival. What was he doing here?
In retrospect, Takahashi probably shouldn't have been so surprised. After all, Seta was quite possibly a major Shinto god, those two people who looked like they could have been twins if it weren't for the different skin tones had hair that quite simply defied all laws of physics, one of the kids was apparently Death... Teddie's appearance here in "Onigafuchi-Hinamizawa" wasn't anywhere near as odd in comparison.
"I'm over here! Show yourself already!" Takahashi yelled. More people down here, though... Well, hopefully that stupid blonde knew the way out, unlike the other blond-haired kid Takahashi was wandering around with.

Teddie blinked as he heard the voice. His eyes widened and a realization dawned on him. That voice belonged to that one man who was always with Adachi. Adachi was the one responsible for the two people that had actually died from the Other Side. Only two other people could push people into the TV World. You couldn't have convinced Teddie it was Souji if his life depended on it, and the other man hadn't been trying to hurt anyone and had regretted his actions. So...
Teddie ran forward, hopping a few times to get over various body parts and pools of blood. He felt a little sick. Before he'd met Souji and his friends, he wouldn't have thought twice about displays such as this. He might not be human, but he'd spent enough time among them that... well, Naoto had once said it didn't matter if the ego came first or second. Still, the bottom line was this area was grisly.
Lucius had found his way up next to Takahashi thanks to the thinner fog and his voice. He wiped his foot on the wooden floor as he walked. Some of the blood from the arm, despite being rather dessicated, had still been left. Most of it was off his shoe by the time he came up beside the man. He was close to the turn, so they'd both see the person as they came out. Lucius recognized the voice as well, but there was no chance the Shadow would recognize them. Well, at least it had found them. Teddie came around the corner in his full "mascot" form, and Lucius raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms in a mock show of surprise. Teddie didn't look like the Teddie that Takahashi knew, that was for sure. Then again, the "kid" had passed as a mascot before, so...
