It was still dark as a teenager by the name of Lucius Starr stood in front of a building. He looked up at the moon with a bored expression on his face, giving a look to the stars. It was amusing how the sky here matched the Earth for time telling. He looked at the door of one of the city's police departments. Whoever was going to unlock the building for their standard business hours should be there soon.
Yesterday had gone rather well. The Demon King of some world or another had looked ready to piss his pants over his true identity. He'd gotten a Persona user into his possession, one who hadn't seemed to realize the weight of his decision until it was a bit late. Then again, things would seem on the mend for Adachi soon. Lucius didn't really like the idea of handling clean up, especially considering he may have to venture into lies to pull it off, but the man would be more useful if he wasn't a recognized felon.
Lucius smirked at himself. Usually he was more than patient. Right now he was just tired of waiting for the building to open. Still, he had to get there before Takahashi could do any more damage to the situation...

((OOC: Yamada is an NPC who will probably only be used for this thread, and thus is not an actual OC. Unless he develops his own character like Takahashi did, at which time I will immediately turn him into an OC. For now, though, there's no plans to make him into a permanent character.))
Yamada really hated his job. It really sucked when he had to come to unlock the building. In fact, he really had to wonder why they weren't a 24 hour station. It would make sense, after all. They were the police. Though the mayor's goons tended to be better at handling things than they were. Hell, the mayor himself tended to be better at handling things than they were. No one on the team even knew what the hell the mayor was; all anyone who saw his true form would say was something about tentacles. Yamada didn't like the possibility of seeing tentacles, as he knew about some of the implications of tentacles.
He yawned as he approached the station. The previous day had been a little crazy. They finally found Takahashi asleep in one of the briefing rooms, and he'd yelled something about Adachi trying to kill him. Yamada didn't know what that was all about, but Adachi had not come in that day. So it was put out as a possibility that Adachi had tried to kill Takahashi.
Adachi had left a message that day as to why he hadn't come in, though. Something about some kid he had taken in getting mugged and tortured. So Yamada didn't know why Takahashi was freaking out so much. After all, Adachi had a good reason for not coming in that day.
Yamada stopped and blinked as he reached the door of the station. He'd been about to unlock the door when he realized there was someone next to him. Some blond haired kid. Who was standing in front of the station, waiting for it to open up. The hell?
"Hey, kid, y'know loitering's illegal, right? Kinda not a good idea to do that outside a police station," Yamada said. He turned totally toward the kid now. "What do you want?"

Lucius jumped as the man addressed him. Being who he was, he'd actually been quite aware of said man's presence. Being what he looked like, it wouldn't be that odd that he'd jumped. The odd part was probably that a high schooler (only the most astute guessed his apparent age right, he was rather tall) was standing outside the police station. The standard method of schooling on the Island due to the vast number of worlds that converged there was homeschooling. Still didn't change the tendency of human teenagers to not like getting up early.
"Well excuse the hell outta me! But I wanted to get here as soon as possible. It hit me yesterday one of the cops here might be trying to make something up. That Adachi guy doesn't strike me as the type you people would take the time to listen to, after all. Takahashi or whatever the hell he called himself might have intimidated him, too. Not even sure why I'm doing this..." he rolled his eyes and muttered something about 'pigs' under his breath.
Lucius was back to the rather rude way of speaking he had. No need to drop his "character" for something like this. Lucius was scowling and looking the man in the eyes. He crossed his arms and waited for a response. It was quite possible he'd have to make himself painfully clear, but he'd managed to mention Adachi and Takahashi. The odds that Takahashi hadn't raised some kind of issue yet struck him as damn near impossible.

Yamada blinked as the blond continued on. The kid was speaking in Japanese; that much was clear even despite the Island's translation conventions, but he definitely didn't look Japanese, even considering Yamada's own homeworld's tendency for odd hair colors. But he said that some cop might be trying to make something up. And he'd mentioned Adachi and Takahashi's names...
"Woah, woah, hold up. What exactly do you mean?" Yamada asked. Takahashi had always kind of seemed like the type that would intimidate people, but making up things about Adachi? Well, he had been getting on Adachi's back a lot lately for reasons Yamada really didn't know. Maybe Takahashi was getting senile in his old age...

Lucius rolled his eyes, "I mean that that Takahashi guy might be using Adachi as a target for some messed up paranoia issues."
The teenager rubbed his arms. He was wearing a sweatshirt, but it was plain black. His pants were faded jeans with holes in both of the knees and his shoes were black and grey. When he rubbed his arms, the fact that he was wearing a small chain bracelet with a silver (at least in color) cross charm hanging from it was evident. It was on his left wrist. His hair was done up in a short ponytail, but the holder couldn't be seen. He looked at the man with an annoyed expression.
"You could open the door, you know..." muttered Lucius, "Don't you have to write crap like this down, anyhow?"

Yamada blinked again as Lucius mentioned messed up paranoia issues. Oh, Yamada knew aaaaaaaall about those. That case with the Maebara kid back home. Had been so worried that someone was trying to kill him that he'd beaten his two best friends to death. He'd been convinced they'd been part of some conspiracy or something like that. Was Takahashi something like that? God, Yamada hoped not. They didn't need another psycho like that Maebara kid.
He jumped as Lucius asked if he should open the door so he could write this stuff down. Yamada really was rather jumpy. "Oh, right, right, sorry," he said and got back to work opening up the door.

Lucius let out a drawn out annoyed sigh. Looks like Takahashi wasn't the only one with paranoia issues. He thought back to some of what he'd seen in Takahashi's 'world'. It was where he'd gotten the idea to go with an excuse of paranoia, but it seemed to have hit home better than he'd planned. He didn't say anything as the man fumbled with his keys, finally managing to get it in and open the door. Lucius shoved his way past.
"Nervous, much?" Lucius scoffed as he walked up to the counter, turned around, and crossed his arms again. He was leaning against it, "Try not to drop the notepad when you get it."

Yamada fell back a bit as Lucius pushed his way past. He glared at the kid. Geez, was that really neccisary? Yamada walked into the station and flicked the lights on as he went on in. He headed past Lucius to go grab a notebook. Yamada usually didn't do this kind of stuff; he was just a normal officer, not one of the detectives, but he was the only one here to take this kid's report.
He came back carrying a notebook and a pen. He sighed and looked over at Lucius. "Alright, let's make this quick. I still gotta switch on the rest of the lights in this place before people start showing up."

Lucius rolled his eyes again. He noted that the man's right hand was shaking. He let out another annoyed sigh. It was only from countless years of emotional control that he wasn't smirking. This was going to be far too easy. He shifted his weight, possibly sending a sign of being uncomfortable with the situation. He let the time be more agonizing for the man by wriggling a pinky inside of his finger. He began to speak when he saw that the man was about to talk again, effectively cutting him off.
"Well, I can't claim what's going on in that guy's head. Takahashi, I mean. I think he thinks Adachi's trying to kill him, though," Lucius observed the man's reaction. His grip had tightened on the pencil as Lucius said the part about trying to kill. He continued after processing that reaction, "I ran into him near this Shinto shrine, he was blabbering things about demons and crap. Something about Shinozaki... I think? Well, it was close to that," He paused for a moment and looked up at the man. The man was having a very interesting and almost panicked reaction, "Hey, you're gonna break that pencil if you grip it any tighter. You know what he was babbling about?"

Yamada did not like where this was going. It sounded like Takahashi was more than going senile. In fact, it sounded like he was losing it. Takahashi had always had a bit of an attachment of the Ooishi of his world. He'd never let go of what had happened back then. But most importantly, it sounded like Takahashi was starting to go the same way that Maebara kid had. He was worried that Adachi was trying to kill him. Just like how Maebara had been worried Ryuugu and Sonozaki were trying to kill him. Would Takahashi try to kill Adachi too?
Yamada had gripped his pencil tighter as Lucius went on. Found Takahashi near a Shinto Shrine. Babbling something about "Shinozakis." Obviously a mispronunciation of Sonozaki. And a shrine HAD just shown up recently too. And hadn't Takahashi been on duty there recently too? Oh man. Oh man.
"It's related to his home world... Kind of classified," Yamada said. Oh man, he hadn't thought Takahashi would come down with that Hinamizawa Syndrome or whatever the guys at the station were calling it these days. He'd been here for so long, and apparently he'd only even been to that damn village like twice. Most guys who even came down with that thing lost it after a few days. Not after twenty years.

"Classified? What the hell, like those stupid alien stories? Whatever," Lucius shifted his weight and looked away. He seemed to be looking at some random poster as he continued speaking, "Well, he mentioned Adachi a few times. I think I caught him looking at his gun, although for all I know he was hearing imaginary footsteps and trying to catch whatever was following him. I think he muttered something about that a few times."
Lucius turned back to the police officer. The man was sweating at this point, "I'm just saying if he goes on about Adachi trying to kill him, don't listen to him. I could probably get more details if I had to, do you need some kind of contact information? And are you going to be okay? Don't tell me I was right with that crazy ass aliens thing... Well, I guess its not that crazy here, but..."

Imaginary footsteps. Bloody hell. Literally. Yamada remembered what state they'd found that Maebara kid in. If Takahashi did that to himself too... oh god. Yamada was pretty sure he'd puke. He was feeling extremely nervous now. Takahashi was usually one of the first people to come in during the mornings. It probably wouldn't be long until he got there.
"No, no, nothing to do with aliens, nothing like that..." Yamada said. "Uh, yeah, contact information would be great. Just in case we need to contact you again." He ripped out a page from the notebook and handed it and the pencil to Lucius. The pencil had a rather large crack in it from how tightly Yamada had gripped it.

Lucius looked at the pencil with disdain. Where the man had managed to crack it meant that if it broke, he'd be lucky to have a stub to right with. He placed the pencil on the counter and dug into his pocket, pulling out the same black pen he'd used to write the note to Adachi on the day before. He scribbled down his name, paused, and rewrote it in katakana as well. He then wrote his phone number. Yamada might have noticed he wrote with his left hand.
He tucked the pen into his pocket before folding the paper up in quarters. He stuck it between the first and middle fingers of his left hand and held it out to the man. He had a rather firm grip on it, and if Yamada tried to grab it before he got his question out, he'd pull it back.
"You could tell me your name too, you know."
(OOC: That romaji is written in katakana on the note, the name is written in English/Roman letters. The board doesn't like Japanese writing, so yeah. XD)

Yamada didn't really react to what hand Lucius was using to write with, but he felt a bit irked that the kid had chosen to switch to using one of his own pens instead of using the pencil he'd been provided. When Lucius held the paper out, Yamada had reached for it, but Lucius had pulled it back and asked for his name. Yamada sighed.
"Eiji Yamada," Yamada stated. He was only using the western order because this kid certainly didn't look Japanese. At least the kid had given him some good info. Christ, he hoped Takahashi wasn't going crazy. They didn't need that right now. No one needed that.

Lucius held out the paper again, "Eiji, got it."
He'd let Eiji take the paper now. It probably shouldn't have surprised Yamada he didn't use an honorific. Although using his first name was different than how he'd referred to Adachi and Takahashi. It was possible he'd mistaken the name order, although that did conflict with how he'd written his name on the paper. Not that Yamada could really know that. He extended his arm a bit more with a bored expression. He seemed to be saying Yamada could take the paper any time.
