Nutcase popped up and pushed Slimer away, then wiped off the ectoplasm on his straightjacket. He then said, "How can we help you two? It's kinda late for neighbors to stop by."

Madotsuki still shivvered and hid behind Magus. "...looks like Poniko..."
Beatrice was focusing more on Magus, who looked like he was going to attack Fujin, at least from how he was talking. "She helped us. Is that a problem, drow-boy?" Beatrice asked.

As it had turned out, Kosumu had been awake... Though one could tell it wasn't because of what was going on downstairs...
Otherwise he would've looked somewhat cute, his rat's nest hair-do even messier due to bed headiness... but the poor boy was shivering uncontrollably, looking almost terrified. When Fujin came in, Kosumu turned to her, becoming thankful to see her immediately, smiling a little. "F-fujin!"
------------------------------------
Metal shook his head at Beatrice before turning back to Magus. "A friend of hers saved the life of one our friends." He motioned to Beatrice as he said this. "Afterwards, we just kind of took her in, since that friend of hers wouldn't leave without her." Seeing Magus' impatient look, he shrugged, "I don't know much beyond that, you'd be better off asking Fujin that..."
Before Magus knew what happened, Metal pulled up a chair. Since Magus and Madotsuki were allowed in, they were in the living room as he did this. " But before anything else, I want to know how YOU know Fujin. Don't think I don't know, I'm pretty dang smart, and I've caught onto the signs."
"What signs, Metal?" Climber asked singlemindedly, looking around.
"It's a figure of speech, Climber."
"Oh... Sorry..." He scratched the back of his helmet bashfully.

Magus looked at Beatrice and glowered. He had no idea what a "Drow" was, but it was quite clear it was meant as an insult. He didn't know who "Poniko" was either, but it was clear Madotsuki was terrified of her. When he was invited in by Metal, he allowed Madotsuki to cling to him, noting how she seemed to hover near the door as far away from Schala as she could.
He refused to sit as Metal sat down, and listened to Metal. He had his scythe placed across his lap, refusing to surrender the weapon. Those with arcane abilities may have sensed a touch of dark energy focused on the blade of the scythe. Metal's robotic eyes likely picked up on the fact that the "etchings" on the black blade appeared to be runes of some sort, although he wouldn't know them. He waited for Climber to finish before addressing Metal.
"She's someone very important to me. I've been searching for her for a long time. You call her Fujin, which means she doesn't remember her own name even," Magus sighed. He had to tread carefully. Schala didn't take being torn from people she cared about well, even if said people were psychotic and obsessed with power, "It's Schala, if you're wondering. I failed to protect her once, I won't let it happen again."
He was revealing more than he wanted, actually. But he needed to get these people to believe him. He didn't want to reveal their blood relation if he didn't have to. Besides, the fact was he was her little brother. For his age, he'd been searching for her for over twenty years. Which directly conflicted with her age. He didn't want to get into the specifics of time travel if he could avoid it. Quite frankly, the paradox involving himself as he was now and his interactions with how he was when he existed as Prince Janus of the Kingdom of Zeal often made his head hurt.
She hadn't changed a bit. He had heard her, and her way of speaking was the same. She didn't look a day older, either. Which meant the jump to this world had crossed time barriers as well. Fujin. It was no worse than his own current name. He looked slightly angry as he waited for the response of the people in the room. He could only really be thankful Crono or his friends weren't there. They would have blurted out Schala's relation to him.

"Well...since you know her personally I guess it's ok. She'll regain her memory eventually. At least I hope she will..." Nutcase said, unsure of what else to say since he had never personally delt with memory loss. Either to himself or anyone close to him.
Shaking his head to get those thoughts away, he said, "You're welcome to stay with us and travel with us in the off chance Fu-I mean Schala's memory returns. Right now, she's worried about a lot of things regarding her memory loss, so perhaps having you here can help."
"Yeah, stay and help!" Slimer exclaimed as he sat back down to eat a sandwhich that Nutcase had pulled from his pocket.

Madotsuki still looked fearful, and avoided looking at Metal. She still had her knife out, though it was likely no one noticed it, since she was hiding behind Magus still. "...Don't like her... looks too much like Poniko..." Madotsuki mumbled.
Beatrice sighed. "Amnesia. That's always so fun. Most overused anime character background ever, but let's not get into that one..." She looked at Madotsuki. "Geez, what's up with her... She's been clinging to Mr. Drow over there since she got here."

Climber was in clear agreement with Beatrice as he walked up to Madotsuki, lifting an eyebrow at her curiously. "Miss Beatrice is right... Are you alright there? And who's Poniko?"
Metal shook his head and thought about what he heard from Magus... The man appeared to be telling the truth... Hiding a few details about the truth maybe but the truth none-the-less. "And you're sure Fujin IS, without a doubt, this Schala?"
------------------------------------------
Upstairs, Kosumu was shivering as he embraced Fujin... "Haven't had... Nightmare in long time..." He muttered, still looking a bit frightened.

Magus glanced down at Madotsuki. It made it evident there was more to the man than his dark exterior and the concerned look he gave her almost qualified as soft. He had to wonder what this Poniko had done to Madotsuki. Was it the reason she hid in a world of dreams? He glanced to the group as he spoke in order to answer Metal's question, letting Beatrice's continued insults bounce off him. In a way, she reminded him of Ayla.
"I'm very sure. You may not sense it, but she has nearly indescribable magical power. She's holding herself back, likely subconsciously, but its there. And we can continue to call her Fujin, insisting on another name may confuse her."
He remembered the talk of doppelgangers. Even if some power allowed them to completely mimic her personality, they couldn't copy that power. Which really was quite true, as the magical signature Schala possessed was pretty much an aura. He stood up and looked Madotsuki in the eyes if she let him, "I assure you she is not Poniko. I can't claim to know who that is or what they did to you, but Schala would lament hurting a fly." -----
Fujin returned the embrace, making soft "shh" noises as she did so. She'd had her own nightmares since waking in this world. All she could do was provide support. She wouldn't ask about the dream unless Kosumu volunteered it. A thought crossed her mind, and it worried her. The timing... had it been caused by that man downstairs?
It was likely Kosumu could feel Magus' magical energy. It was far stronger than what Fujin could access, but weaker than her potential. And it seemed somehow similar to Fujin's. In both type and... general aura.

Madotsuki didn't stop hiding even after Magus reassured her that Fujin wasn't Poniko. "...Poniko's dead... and then she..." Madotsuki mumbled and pressed her face into Magus's cape.
Beatrice sighed. "Geez. She's odd. Reminds me of someone Tree would hang out with." Before she could realize the irony of that statement, Madotsuki looked up.
"Huh?" Beatrice asked. "What, you know Tree?"
Madotsuki nodded.

An excited smile came to a certain mannequin's face as Madotsuki nodded. "Well whadaya know, Miss Beatrice? Looks like you could find miss Tree easily now!"
Metal could only wonder if that was a good thing. Turning to Magus, this emoticon appeared in his visor, ':-)' "I agree with what Nutcase said earlier. If it helps Fujin find her lost memory, having you around will definately be a big help."
----------------------
Comforted at Fujin's embrace, Kosumu started to calm down, sniffling ever so slightly. When she finally seperated from the boy, he lightly rubbed the bottom of his nose smiling. "T-thanks Fujin..."

Magus looked pained at Metal's comment, "It might be better for her to not remember..."
He didn't know what Schala had gone through in their time apart. She hadn't aged a day since she helped rescue Crono's friends. It was likely a result of time travel. For all he knew, she'd simply been dropped here seconds after Lavos went beserk. But he knew what she had gone through in the events leading up to losing her. All to well, actually. He glanced at Madotsuki again. The girl was fearful of Schala. She reminded her of a woman named Poniko. He hoped the girl didn't make him choose. He knew already who would be chosen, it was no contest. He hadn't spent over twenty years and many millenia of time travel looking for her to let some girl he didn't know interfere with that. -----
Fujin smiled softly and stood up. She gestured towards the door, "We have guests. I think Metal is worried about one of them, but there is something about the man..." she looked pained, "Would it... would it be possible for you to accompany me? There is a young girl with him, perhaps you could set her mind at ease. She seems fearful of me, and I can not understand why."
Is this right? It is almost as if I am using Kosumu as a shield of sorts. I do not wish him to be in danger, but I worry about going out there alone. Even with Metal and the others. Why does that man make me so fearful and glad at the same time...?

By now, Beatrice was completely uninterested in the ongoing conversation, and had pulled Madotsuki away from the table for interrogation.
"Now, you've been travelling with Tree ever since you got here because she actually DIDN'T disappear or transport you to some fucked up dream world when you stabbed her?" Beatrice asked, wanting to confirm what she'd managed to figure out.
Madotsuki nodded.
"So, you've been travelling with her. What's she up to?" Beatrice asked.
"...coming to town." Madotsuki mumbled.
Beatrice frowned. "When's she coming?"
"Tonight... she said tonight."
Beatrice stood up, and shot back upstairs, coming back downstairs just as quickly. Somehow, she'd managed to put her hair up, put on decent clothing, and find her old spiked gloves in thirty seconds flat. She shot out the door.
"TREETUNE! I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!" Beatrice yelled. Madotsuki blinked a couple times before walking back over to Magus.
"Why does everyone here wear their hair like Poniko?" Madotsuki asked.

"Someone, get her!!!" Nutcase yelled as he got up to chase Beatrice down.
"She's gonna get herself killed!" Clown Man yelled as Nutcase ran after her.
Slimer took it upon himself to stop Beatrice in her tracks by doing what he always did to people who had such a similar personality to his friend, Peter Venkman; He gave chase, and then slimed Beatrice.

Climber was momentarily confused by what had happened as Beatrice zoomed past him... When Nutcase ran past him yelling what he had yelled, that immediately kicked Climber into overdrive. "WHAT?! Miss Beatrice!! WAIT!!!"
Metal didn't join in the chase, not wanting to leave Magus or Madotsuki. "Don't mind them." In his visor, the '-_-;' emoticon appeared before he turned back to them. "They'll be back I'm pretty sure." Having made that clear, he looked at Magus curiously. "But answer me this one question, since I'm so curious..." If he had eyebrows, he likely would've raised one. "Why don't you want Schala to remember anything?"
"Schala? Who Schala?"
The three turn to see Kosumu standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking at the the guests curiously. "Who are you?"
----------------------------
Climber put on the breaks when he saw Beatrice get slimed. "... ... ... I don't think Miss Beatrice is going to be too happy about that..."
That, as it turned out, was putting it mildly.

Kosumu hadn't seemed to sense her hesitation, and had all but left Fujin behind as he ran out of the bedroom. She smiled sadly. He really did remind her of something, something she had lost. Before her lost memories, perhaps? Something told her that. She followed after the boy. -----
Magus looked down at Madotsuki, "It is called a ponytail, it's a common hairstyle."
When the question about Treetune came up, things got a little crazy. He stared at the hyperactive girl. Definently reminded him of Ayla. If the comparison truly fit, it meant she and that Treetune from earlier were actually close friends. However, he didn't seem surprised. Merely observant. He turned back to Metal as he was told to ignore them. It hadn't needed saying. He jerked his head to the side, however, as he felt Schala's energy approaching. He barely heard Metal's question.
Fujin wasn't far behind Kosumu, and arrived in time to hear Kosumu inquire about a "Schala". Magus looked at Kosumu and then up at Schala. He returned his gaze to Kosumu, but it seemed he had to wrench his gaze away from the young woman, "My name is Magus."
Fujin blinked several times. This man was so familiar yet at the same time was very much not. "Do... do I know you?"
Magus fought at preventing a pained look. Only the most observant would catch it, which in the current situation pretty much meant Metal, "No."
