The Noises

Cagney had looked about into the dark woods. it was so dark and brooming in there it gave her a terrible feeling that something is waiting for her. however, she ignored it, and kept going deeper into the woods. [glow=red,2,300]man,[/glow] she thought, [glow=red,2,300]i didn't expect the woods to be like this! whatever. no one cared about me much in the city anyway... just like years ago...[/glow] Cagney continued deeper into the woods, not looking back. she stopped to hear a strange sound coming from somewhere in the trees. she looked around from where she was standing. nothing.

the girl continued onward until a twig snapped. she stopped again, nothing. Cagney wasn't taking any chances and started to run. the noises were following her. as she ran, so did the noise. she was being followed.

"The Cheat, that is the last time we get directions from MapQuest!" said Strong Bad as he and The Cheat were walking aimlessly through the forest when they heard the twig snap. They started running after Cagney.

As much as Cagney would like to know know what it was that's stalking her, it was better safe than sorry. She run even faster at rabbit speed! Dodging every tree and branch in the nighttime atmosphere. [glow=red,2,300]I gotta keep going,[/glow] her thoughts were racing through her mind, [glow=red,2,300]I hope it's nothing that could kill me! Oh, if only i can find shelter. The woods, however, is dangerous at this time. No where to run and no where to hide once the full moon rises at midnight! But I gotta hope. I just GOTTA hope that I--[/glow] Suddenly, she crashed right into a tree. Cagney grabbed the lowest branch of that tree and lifted herself up.

"Man!" she cried, "For the love of pete! How come everytime I actually get my hopes up something goes wrong?!" She heard the noises again. She froze in her tracks, and turned around to where it was coming from. This time, unlike before, she was able to see two figures nearby. She couldn't make out who they were though. Cagney suddenly got a burst of courage and glared at the shadows, "SHOW YOURSELVES IMMEDIATELY!!"

The shadows revealed themselves. Cagney's eyes widened at the strangers. She spoke again, "Alright, what's with the funny business scaring me silly like that?!"

"It was pretty funny!" said Strong Bad "Alright, The Cheat, lets take her money!" The Cheat and Strong Bad pulled out axes and started cutting down Cagney's tree.

Cagney just sat back and watched as they cut down the tree sipping a carton of juice.

"Uhh...." She said, "First of all, who are you guys? Second of all, I don't live in that tree. Third of all, I have no money with me anyways. And fourth of all, if you guys kill me then-- .... that thing literally has a 'The' in it's real name?!"

The girl shook her head, "Anyways, I don't think it was you guys that were making those mysterious noises. I hear them again..." She shivered and the thought, "Don't you people get the idea that you're being watched in these woods? I think I am now..."

"Oh... Well, I'm Strong Bad and this is The Cheat" "Meh!" said Strong Bad followed by The Cheat. "And now" Strong Bad pulled out his nunchucks and started flailing them. "Money... NOW!"

"OH FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!" Cagney exclaimed as she raised her hands high, "I TOLD YOU ALREADY I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK SOMEONE WHO IS RUNNING FROM THE CITY INTO THE WOODS TO FIND SHELTER TO LIVE IN WOULD HAVE MONEY?!"

The noises returned again. Cagney jumped as she heard another twig break, and more footsteps approaching. Cagney jumped onto Strong Bad's head shaking, "You hear that? I'm telling you something's weird in these woods!"

"Yeah! You!" said Strong Bad as he put down his nunchucks. He wasn't afraid of the creature approaching "Blah, blah, blah! Noises!"

Jeff wandered through the woods as well, hearing all sorts of noises around him. He was only taking a walk and got lost and now it was dark. Jeff heard voices up ahead and hid in a bush. He watched as Strong Bad and The Cheat attempted to take her money.

Oooh, what should I do? he thought. After thinking about it for a sec, he decided to be brave and jump out to confront them.

"Hey! Leave her alone," he ordered them ", She said she doesn't have any money!"

"Let's get this nerd, The Cheat!" The Cheat started to gnaw on Jeff's legs.

Cagney jumped off his head and raised her hands up high, "ABOUT TIME SOMEBODY ACTUALLY LISTENS!! What can I do with money anyways while I am running away from the city?"

She brushed her jacket and ears off, "Gawsh, people! Say, kid. Do you know what those noises are or where they are coming from at all?" Cagney's face expression shows how much she regrets trying to live in the woods away from the cold people in town... she feels like she could get killed out here!

Jeff kicked The Cheat off his leg.

"Ow...okay, so I'm not just hearing things then. You heard those noises too?" Jeff asked.

[Yenti]

"Yah." Cagney stated, "It sounds like it's out to get me or something! I wish i knew what that noise was. These woods now sound like not too much of a good place to live! Or at least it'll be a little better once I know what those noises are..."

Cagney looked around again, hearing those noises once more. Thinking about those noises and not knowing what it is is really beginning to bug her.

"They're really starting to bug me..." Jeff looked around nervously.
