Mr. Copycat swiftly ran after Mrs. Copia, who had tried to run upon Mr. Exemplaar's death at Ms. Tachi's claws, and slashed her through the chest, cutting her not-very-neatly in half. He turned and faced Mr. Repetition, his face filled with bloodlust.
Four of the group of seven were now dead. Mr. Repetition had to choose what he was going to do very carefully.
"Retreat! We must not die here!" Mr. Repetition called. The two others, Mr. Look-Alike and Mr. Klon, nodded, and the three started running as fast as they could. Mr. Copycat began pursuit.

Tachi launched herself at Mr. Repetition. She knew he would underestimate her injured arm, and while the mobility was limited, she could still use it. The attack wasn't as effective as it could have been with two fingers missing, but it was still plenty enough to kill. The blood splattered outwards, and she pulled the dead body off her arm and threw it into the bushes. She saw something child sized twitch as it landed next to it.
She turned and peered into the bushes, only seeing the natural red hair of the child sized figure before deciding she didn't have time for this. It wasn't a doppelganger, at least not one still affiliated with the race. It would have attacked by now if it was, "If you value your life, child, you will run," she flatly and coldly stated before rushing off in the direction she had seen Mr. Copycat and the others run.
She wanted to hold back until it was clear he'd need her help... if the situation continued, she might very well be running for her life from him. That giddy act of killing, the almost forgotten dark side of the doppelganger's happiness... it was not one easily abandoned.
(OOC: You've implied he was a friggin terror before going defective, so I'm acting on Tachi's memories. And I thought throwing it that his "cheer" was a glee for killing for the morbid fun of it. XDD)

The child in the bushes was shivering and clutching his puppy rather close to his body, and if one looked closely, one would notice that his eyes were a solid black color, like those of the half-breed children.
The other two had hesitated at the death of their leader, and that's what lead to their deaths by a quick and easy decapitation. Finally, Mr. Copycat lowered his blade, and resheathed it in his cane. Just as well too; some crows were starting to circle around this area.
"I suggest we leave," Mr. Copycat said. He turned around. "You can come out now, Cody."
The red-headed child stepped out of the bushes. "Daddy, you..." He looked at Ms. Tachi, and his expression was a mix between fear and happiness. It was easy to tell that he was having conflicting emotions here. He remembered Ms. Tachi from that day one year ago, but he was supposed to be friends with all doppelgangers now. Even the ones his father had just killed.

Tachi's eyes widened as she realized the identity of the child. As if the appearance of his eyes weren't flagrantly obvious enough, he had addressed Copycat as "daddy". Her initial reaction was to scowl, but that annoying and newly born voice nagged at the bag of her mind. The harsh scowl faded to an attempt to hide a frown, and her eyes shifted in a way that made it appear as if she was... depressed?
She turned away and scowled again, but made sure her nod was evident. She took a moment to take Momoko's form, allowing the blood spatter to vanish from sight with the shift.
"I doubt it will be long before Ms. Mirror-Zero sends reinforcements, or even herself. You killed one of her more valued subordinates," she was referencing Ms. Replica.
That was cal- shut up! Shut up shut up shut up! She tried to get the voice inside her head to quit harassing her. She knew it was an aspect of herself born from her injuries. If this is what a conscience was like, she had to wonder how humans dealt with them. She could only be thankful it wasn't its own entity, like that one cricket on one of the Earths she'd heard of.
Althought that she could have just crushed...

Mr. Copycat nodded, and bent down next to Cody. "Cody, I know you probably want to see Ms. Mirror again, but right now we need to go..."
"I'M NOT STUPID, DAD!" Cody suddenly yelled. He was glaring at Mr. Copycat with a look of pure hate. The not-quite-so-young father reached back from Cody, looking almost crushed. "I-I watched that whole battle! I saw you kill them! They... they were my friends!"
"They turned you into a doppelganger!" Mr. Copycat protested.
"Well... well maybe I like it like this!" Cody shot back. There were tears running down his face before he started running away, towards the research facility.
"Cody! Wait, no, don't--" Mr. Copycat stopped himself. "...It's his own choice... dammit."

Well, now Tachi felt a bit stuck between an exploded rock and a hard place. If Cody, or Mr. Ditto as he seemed to be acting now, got the the headquarters, the secret of her arm could get out. However, if she tried to stop the child, Mr. Copycat could very much rage. And that blade of his was nothing to laugh at.
The hesitation lasted only a moment, and she took the choice that would result in a quicker death if worst came to worst. She was suddenly chasing after the boy, hoping Mr. Copycat wouldn't interpert it as an intent to harm. She just wanted to stop him... for once that nagging voice in her head seemed to have the potential for usefulness, but she had to get the boy and his doppeldog to listen to her for it to work.

When Ms. Tachi started running after Mr. Ditto, Mr. Copycat became of the opinion she was going to kill his son. This did not bode well for Ms. Tachi, as the once-fearsome defective began chasing after Ms. Tachi, and he looked very, very, mad.
"Don't you dare!" Mr. Copycat yelled.
Every now and again, Mr. Ditto would look back as he ran, and once he saw Ms. Tachi and Mr. Copycat chasing him, began to panic. And it showed. He was having a hard time controlling his shifting. Every now and again, he'd started looking more doppelganger-like, and then sometimes he'd look more like a human. Either way, he was panicking a lot.

Tachi heard Copycat yell.
F**k, she thought to herself. He was faster and hadn't recently been in an explosion. She had a split second to make up her mind, and chose to speed up, running in front of the boy. She wasn't trying to use him as a shield, knowing the unreachable heights of stupidity that would be. And while part of her mind screamed that her next action was cruel to the human parts of Mr. Copycat's mind, she didn't see much choice.
"Do you want to have your son see you kill someone else?" she stated, planting her feet and speaking just loud enough for the advancing Mr. Copycat and his son to hear. If her attempt at throwing Mr. Copycat failed, she was well aware she'd likely be decapitated. At least death would come quickly.
(OOC: As in Cody/Mr. Ditto is BETWEEN her and Copycat)

Mr. Copycat stopped, and he kept staring at Ms. Tachi, his face filled with emotion. He didn't want to kill in front of his son. He only had before because he had no other options except die. He hadn't even been planning on killing Ms. Tachi.
"I don't want you to kill him either!" Mr. Copycat said after a short pause. "It's just..." He was at a loss for words. Mr. Ditto kept looking between Ms. Tachi and Mr. Copycat, looking for a way to escape.

Right, that's what I thought he thought. Damn, why do I feel like scum for abusing his emotions like this?
"I wasn't aiming to kill him," she gestured forcefully to her right arm with her left one, "But if HQ realizes this is because of an injury to my true form, I'll be in more trouble," and then turned to Mr. Ditto, "Relax, I'm not trying to hurt you. You claim to want to be true to your doppelganger side, but the fact that you consider them friends shows how far away from it you really are. Those that aren't defective have no friends. And if you value that autonomy of yours, you won't go there. They will figure out a way to get rid of it. Your dog, as well,"
The part of her words addressed at Mr. Ditto were harsh, cold, and dead serious. The boy was frightened, she could tell that, and she knew she had to hammer the point home and quickly. She wasted no time trying to sound concerned or kind, and somehow the speech had made something click in her own head.
I can't go back, either... With that thought, Momoko Miyamoto's face looked greatly depressed, and she felt something warm and wet in her eyes. She reached up and wiped, realizing she was... crying?

Cody looked down at his dog. "Not... Not Repeat?" The little dog hadn't said a word at all. And in fact, he hadn't said anything for a while.
"Cody, I'm sorry..." Mr. Copycat said. "She's right, Cody. And because you're a defective like us, they'll eventually fire you too."
Cody looked afraid. "But I... Alice... she's there too... she's my friend. I don't want to leave her."
"Alice doesn't have the allergy. They won't fire her. In fact, they'll probably send her to fire you," Mr. Copycat said. He walked closer to his son, who stepped back.

Slowly, Momoko sidestepped. If Cody tried to run, she'd try and catch him. She hoped Mr. Copycat would understand and not go into kill mode on her. Repeat was a bit of a problem. He'd been quiet, but she had no doubt the dog would try and protect Cody. It possessed a similar level of autonomy to a non-doppel dog, meaning it would act on "friendship" the same way Cody would.
She had things she wanted to say, but chose to keep quiet. Cody was focused on Copycat, and she wanted him unaware of her position if he tried to bolt. But Copycat was right. If the other child wanted to stay alive, she'd do what she was told. Even down to killing one she considered a friend. And it was well within the range of the race's cruelty to order such an act.
She had managed to step right behind Cody, and prepared to grab him if he bolted...

Cody looked like he was going to cry. He was biting back tears, not wanting to cry like a little sissy boy, but he couldn't help it. He found himself bawling and hugging his father, who just petted the boy's head, unable to think of anything to say at the moment.

(OOC: GOOD IDEA. XD)
Momoko jumped as she heard something behind her, and was in a defensive posture by reflex. When it appeared nothing was there she turned to Copycat, "We need to leave. Now. The fact that it has taken this long for Ms. Mirror-Zero to send reinforcements is unsettling."
She still wasn't sure how to feel about having realized she had to cut all connections to the doppelgangers. She knew, even if she could get her arm fixed, that if she went back they would merely extract the information on the medicine from her mind before firing her. They'd pass it off as a precautionary measure, and the thoughts that had been running through her mind told her she'd defect even if she got back in. She didn't think she could stand all the killing she used to do so gleefully.
She had walked past Copycat and Cody on the way to Void City, trying to ignore the boy's tears and the father's attempt to comfort said boy. She needed to get her thoughts in order, as it was entirely likely one with an allergy as bad as Copycat was going to bring up the medicine she had been working on. She wasn't sure if he knew of it, it had been one of the more confidential projects, but if he did, she knew he'd be asking...

Mr. Copycat nodded and followed after. As it was, Ms. Tachi was a new defective. If she wasn't careful, she could be easily picked out and killed. Mr. Copycat had more experience with this kind of life. In any case, he was the best person to watch over her right now. Plus, he had heard through his insider in the Organization that she had been working on a cure for the canary allergy. And if Ms. Tachi had the photographic memory he'd head that she had, she might be able to recreate it.
And even better, she could possibly be able to reverse what had happened to Cody. It was a stretch, but it might be possible.
