Chibi Moon crashed to the ground in a facefault that would have made her mother's past self proud. She jumped up and walked over to Balrog, leaning over to whisper, "It's me. I'm Usagi."
Course, knowing Balrog if it did sink in he'd have to shout it loud enough for half the town to hear.

Chibi Moon sweatdropped, but continued, "There's this guy around here, he can make these copies of himself. I think I can do some damage but his clones are really fast. I'd need someone to run interference."
She looked around, "He killed this guy in cold blood, sliced his throat open... He barely had enough time to scream. I'm a soldier, I can't sit back and let that go unpunished! Please, will you help me?"
She took in a breath, "But don't tell anyone who I am. Its supposed to be a secret..."

He reminds me of Pallas, Chibi Moon grinned.
"Thank you!" she said. There didn't seem to be any danger at the moment. Actually, she was in her soldier form now...
"Can you hold on a minute?" Chibiusa held her hands out and a beautiful crystal bell popped between them from a burst of magical power. It hovered there until she grabbed it, but didn't try anything yet. She wanted to wait for Balrog's resposne.

Chibi Moon held the bell close to her heart and yelled, "TWINKLE YELL!"
Nothing happened. Several seconds passed and it looked like Chibi Moon was concentrating on something. Finally her shoulders slumped. Tears were welling in her eyes, even though she was trying to prevent them. She had known it was likely, but it still hurt...

"Are you okay?" Balrog said worriedly as he saw Sailor Chibi Moon was holding back tears.

Chibi Moon nodded quickly. It wasn't convincing. The bell vanished from her hands and she tried to wipe the tears with her glove. It only smeared them.
"I-I can't reach him... Helios...." she sniffled. It had been such a long shot, but... wasn't love supposed to break all barriers? Wasn't love supposed to always win? She knew now, that even in her dreams, she would not reach him.
"I'm sorry... I must seem like a wimp," she sniffled.

"Your not a wimp, your a strong girl." Balrog said comfortable as he turned so she faced his side and pet her hair.

If she hadn't been so depressed, she would have found Balrog's repositioning comical and kind of cute. But all it could really do for her was help her stop sniffling. And calling her strong... that was rare. Her elders almost never did that. Her guardian soldiers, either.
She nodded, "T-thank you. You're right. I just have to figure out how to get back home!"
It was a little enthusiastic, but with Balrog's (lack of) perception he probably wouldn't see that she was overdoing it and forcing herself. She looked around before allowing a pink flash to appear and she stood once more as Chibiusa.

Chibiusa suddenly felt very selfish. Here she was, all depressed about Helios and the Sailor Quartetto, and yet she hadn't even asked Balrog about his friends. He must have been lonely too.
"I'm sure they'll be fine!" she nodded. She was being over enthusiastic again, "What are they like? Are they like you?"
The name's "Quote" and "Curly Brace" seemed a little odd to Chibiusa, but in all reality it was no worse than being named "Rabbit" or "Little Rabbit". Although she did have to think about it to remember what they meant. Japanese wasn't big on the whole punctuation thing. So the Island had only been able to partially translate Balrog's speech, leaving the identification of English grammar to Chibiusa.

"Oh, Quote and Curly Brace looks like you except they are robots. But before I was taken Curly went missing, but Quote was still with me." Balrog said happily. "They should be able to take care of themselves though." he said with a smile.

"Oh wow. I bet Saturn would love to meet them. She's one of my oldest friends. A lot of her work involves bionics. She works with genetics and nanotechnology too," said Chibiusa.
Although I think she does it in memory of her father as much as anything else. After all, she only awakened as a soldier from her life being artificially prolonged as a cyborg, thought the pink haired girl.
"Other than Saturn, my closest friends are Ceres, Pallas, Juno, and Vesta. Oh, and my boyfriend, Helios. Do you have anyone you like?" asked Chibiusa.
She hesitated a bit over mentioning Helios. It hurt a bit. But in a way, the conversation was also theraputic. When she asked Balrog if he had anyone he liked, she tried to stress the like to indicate what some little kids sometimes called "like like".
