"I ask the same questions all the time." Nutcase said as he calmned down. "I've known him the longest out of any of us and he still wont come clean with me. I'm gonna have a long talk with that boy when we find him."

Tree sighed as the photo was snatched from her, and then caught on fire. She stayed quiet while the others talked, until Nutcase said he would have a long talk with Gantz. "Screw the talking part, I'm skipping right to the beatdown part."
"Amen, foo," Todd added.
"As for what's going through dumbass' mind... I've got a clue, but I ain't saying. Can we go? I wanna get this done quick so I can go back to shopping." Tree pulled her hand out of her coat pocket and tossed the object grasped in it in the air a couple times. The energy emanating from it, which had been suppressed until now due to the abilities of the alchemical jacket, would be entirely clear to Talim, and possibly some other members of the group. But mostly to Talim, especially since she was from the world this dark colored "rock" originated from.
Taffy had placed Beatrice's heart and the other heart inside a large plastic bag, where the implanted parts ticked away. Beatrice had pulled herself away from the bags to look at what Tree was tossing in the air.
"Tree, what the hell is that?" Beatrice asked. Tree looked over at Beatrice.
"Oh, this? It's a Pseudo-Philosopher's Stone. Alchemical catalyst. All that jazz," Tree said.

[Is that a shard of Soul Edge? I sorta believed what Tree said but the fact that you hinted that it came from Talim's world makes me think that way.]
Talim was momentarily wide-eyed at the object, giving it a curious look. The energy signature was definately familiar...
She turned to Tree, giving her a confused look. "Tree... ... Where did you get that?"
"How about you tell her on the way?" Lilia said looking around, "It's still not safe here afterall."
Gene nodded in clear agreement. "Yeah, Lilia has a point. Let's get outta here."
And with that, the gang was off down the road. As they did, Gene whipped out his laptop to work on it as they walked, placing the earphones back over his ears. He knew they were in good hands with Lilia and the rest of the gang. "Leviathan." On the screen Leviathan appeared once more, "Continue updates." Leviathan nodded at this, before disappearing back into the screen...
Around that time, 'Hero' by Nickleback started blasting in Gene's ears.
'I am so high,
I can hear Heaven...
I am so high,
I can hear Heaven...
Whoa, but Heaven...
No Heaven don't hear me...'
Lilia rolled her eyes but smiled regardless. Just like Gene.
Behind them, Starman watched the two curiously. "Well whadaya know? Gene has some Net Navi's of his own."
There was a nod from Climber. "Yeah... I sorta remember Gantz saying that Gene created his own custom Net Navi's... Whatever that means..."
And they say that
A hero can save us,
I'm not gonna stand here and Wait!
I'll hold onto the wings of the eagle
Watch as we all fly away!'
Gene seemed pretty wrapped up in his music, typing on his laptop, and sliding in a new disk whenever an upload appeared to be finished.

(OOC: Let's put it this way: Ivy's backstory states that she used alchemy... and she's pretty well connected to Soul Edge.
So that means yes.)
Tree shrugged as Lilia told her to tell Talim on the road. Yeah, okay that would work. She groaned as she caught a few notes of what Gene was listening to with her keen ears. She really couldn't complain; she wasn't much of a music person, but that didn't mean that didn't annoy her.
"It fell down my chimney one day. I've been using it to do various alchemy stuffs. Heck, sometimes I think it works better than a real Philosopher's Stone," Tree said. She pocketed the stone again.
"Net Navi? She's kinda cute," Ark said before Gene closed his laptop again. "I want one!"
"You're still grounded," Snowy noted. Ark sighed.
Beatrice was still regarding Tree carefully, but she refocused on Lilia and Gene.
"Yo, how much further is it to wherever the hell we're goin'? My feet are killin' me..." Beatrice said.

"Yeah, and I'm hungwy...." Slimer said as he floated along, looking tired as well.
Pulling a box of pizza from hammerspace, Nutcase said, "Here Slimer, this should help."
The green ghost was overjoyed and quickly devoured the pizza in a single gulp. From there on, there was no more complaints from the spook about food.

"Not too much further." Lilia responded flatly. "Just give it a few seconds."
After that much time had passed, the gang came across an abandoned building that easily stood at four stories high, it was likely an old hotel. When Gene and Lilia walked inside, the others were soon to follow...
Inside was what appeared to be a rather dusty lobby, though it looked like it had seen SOME use previously, though not much. Gene sat himself down at the front desk as he opened his laptop once more, and continued typing.
"This is it?" Talim asked, upon taking a better look around. "This is where your staying?"
A small huff was the response. "Well it was the best place available since it really doesn't have a rent." Lilia monotoned as she sat herself down on a nearby couch.
This made the robot of the gang think a moment. "So... No-one knows your staying here."
"Pretty much." It was a surprise since this response came from Gene. "But this stay is only just temporary. If I can find the money, I'd be having a lab built so I can experiment and invent all I want. Until then, making Net Navi's is all I can do."
Star Man was suddenly heard. "Speaking of which, is it possible if I could meet them? The only other Net-Navi's I've seen thus far, is Clown Man. You don't mind do you?"
Gene smiled slightly at the request. "Not at all, I'm sure Leviathan and Harpuia would like the company." Metal handed off the P.E.T. allowing Gene to plug in the machine, jacking Star Man into the laptop.
"Not to sound impatient, Gene." Talim walked up to the boy, giving him a curious look, "But what about the information you were going to give us?"
A nod was the reply. "I'm working on it. You see the info is in my laptop, form of one of bro's journals, likely he transferred it to me in secret to make sure no-one knew of it's existence."
-----------------------------
Meanwhile inside Gene's laptop, Star Man found himself inside a giant open space filled to the brim with dark green platforms, and well lit with the, strangely enough, an image of the Toon Town Beach serving as the background. There were literally millions of these platforms all over the place...
He had landed in Gene's laptop... Hadn't he?
"Oh! Hello there!"
Before Star Man could register those words, another Net Navi ran up to him...
Leviathan EXE took a moment to catch her breath before bowing slightly. "I welcome you to the Super Computer of Gene Gun." Lifting back up, she placed a hand on her chest. "The name's Leviathan, The directory navi of this computer and Gene's personal file assistant." She looks at Star Man a moment more, "Oh! Are you by any chance Star Man?"
Star Man lightly bowed at this. "Yeah, I am. It's a pleasure to meet you Leviathan. Am I to assume that you know me because of my..." A sad look passed his face. "Net Op?"
Leviathan appeared to feel for the Star Net Navi. "Yeah. I'm so sorry about what happened by the way." Slowly her smile lifted. "Please, come with me, Star Man, there's something you have to see."
Star Man looked somewhat curious at this before following the female navi deeper into the computer's acesses...

Tree and Snowy looked around the lobby as the group stepped in. Tree sneezed from the dust. "Geez... I bet this place is due for demolishment any day now..."
Snowy sat down on top of Tree's shoulder. "I can't say I know too much about these Net-Navi things, or how they're related to the current situation... but we came for some answers. I expect to get some. Things are probably going to be getting ugly."
"Yeah..." Taffy said. He sat down dejectedly next to Lilia. "I can't believe Bea-Bea's still going out with Flamel..."
"Suck it up, Lover-Boy. Just because we're enemies because of his stupid plans doesn't mean I'm not gonna date him," Beatrice said. She turned to Gene. "Hey, you make custom NetNavis? Think you could make one for me? I'd kill to have a Fluffy NetNavi. That would be the coolest thing ever. All the guys at the Fluffy Fan Club International would be so fuckin' jealous..."
Snowy cleared her throat. "Beatrice, as much as we know you'd die of fangasm if you'd have one of those PET things and stuff, we have more important things. We're still lacking a bit of info, and we know that Him is hanging around. I don't want to entertain the possibility of him showing up and attacking us while we're sitting around here."

[Nutcase gave me the go-ahead to post here.]
Gene grinned at this. "Well sure Beatrice, I can do that! It'll be an interesting challenge compared to what I normally make, but it sounds doable." After that, he continued typing on his laptop. "Anyways, Leviathan is getting the info your looking for along with Star Man so just give her a second. After all, my laptop here is like a super computer, and not even Leviathan can cover the computer's memory banks in it's entirety in a short amount of time."
As he said this, Lilia went on cleaning her gun. "While we're waiting, you'd best make yourself comfy. Because there are some factors that you need to know about your current situation."
The others looked at the girl confused. "What do you mean, what do we need to know?"
"Indeed, what should you learn from the best? You all are foolish, and stupid, like the rest."
All eyes widened...
Slowly they turned to find a Tarutaru sitting on glassless window giving them a snooty grin.
"You know nothing of the true plot at hand and then some, So, if you don't listen, when the truth comes, you'll be struck dumb."
Shantotto followed this up with her trademark laugh.
Lilia gave the Tarutaru a glare. "It's about time you got here... Where've you been?"
"Oh, don't give me that impatientness Missy, I merely had other business, don't act prissy."

Nutcase looked honestly suprised to see Shantotto in their hideout.
"Who the heck is she?" Clown Man asked.

Tree, Snowy, Ark, Todd, and Taffy all stared confused at Shantotto. However, Beatrice was glaring at her.
"Hey, ain't you that chick from that one Final Fantasy MMO that Square-Enix those bastards have decided they don't like anymore?" Beatrice asked. "What the hell are ya doin' here?"
"Beatrice. We're on an interdimensional island that attracts more video game characters than DragonCon. Why the hell wouldn't she be here?!" Taffy shot back.
"Aw, shut up! And Gene, I thought you said no one followed us here!" Beatrice yelled.

"No one did." Gene pointed out, shaking his index finger back and forth. "Shantotto knew that this place was our meeting place to begin with."
At the confused looks, Shantotto jumped down from the window.
"I play a bigger role in these events then you might think, To you I am, by all means and everything, a link."
Lilia was the one to explain this. "That's SUPPOSED to mean that Shantotto is our prime informant. Everything that's going on with Him never escapes her attention."
"Putting it in rather simple explanation, I hate Him with little to no hesitation. You are better off listening to me you little welps, I have a great amount of info, so trust me, you need my help."
From where he stood, Metal was looking at the Tarutaru woman curiously. "But... How could you help us? We're about to get the info we need from Gene's computer."
"I'm here to clarify said info if needed, so you can learn all you need, unimpeded."
She jumped up with all the agility of Yoda, and landed on the hotel's front desk near where Gene's laptop was. Sitting herself down on the table, she took out her rod from it's sheath and held it in hand.
"At the same time, I'm here to protect If evil should come here, they will find themselves decked. You are dealing now, you see, with evil powers that you have yet to fully understand, It is better you learn these truths now, so when the battles come, you'll have the upperhand."
----------------------------------------
Back inside Gene's laptop,
Starman and Leviathan were off quickly through the Super computer's data files, passing access after access, file after file. As they did, Starman couldn't help but look around curiously, this place was definately a lot bigger on the inside then it was on the outside... Usually most laptop areas in the Cyber World wasn't NEAR this big. "Impressive isn't it?" Came Leviathan, whom noticed Starman's curious gaze. "Hard to imagine that this was all created by Gene isn't it?"
"Not really I suppose..." Starman responded, rubbing his chin, "Gene is Gantz's anti, so it makes sense that both of them are equally very intelligent even if Gantz's interests are opposite of Gene's."
Leviathan chuckled. "Still, to think he made all of this, and he's just a common user. He didn't have help from anyone to do it, not even the official Navi creators. It still blows my mind what he's capable of."
Floating over to the girl navi, Starman grinned. "You really shouldn't take him for granted like that. Trust me, I know Gantz, and if Gene is anything like him, you've got a great person looking out for you."
"Not just for me." The girl motioned around, "But for all of us. I'm not the only Net Navi that wanders this computers accesses, Gene has made quite a few since he started off this little business of his. Right now, there are exactly 27 Net Navi's roaming around here. Some custom, some not so, but all of them are great creations and friends. I'm proud to have known them all." With that being said, Leviathan took a quick look around. "Now I'm sure the file with the data was here somewhere..."
"Looking for something Leviathan-chan?"
............ Starman didn't know what to make of that calm voice, but the second he saw Leviathan's nervous expression, he was put on edge.
Reappearing from around the corner, a peculiar navi appeared with purple hair, wearing super thick white armor with massive gauntlets covering his arms... And that smile... Starman could've sworn there was some kind of sadistic flair in that smile. What was more, he was holding a folder in his hand.
"J-Juno..."
The navi known as Juno smiled at the greeting. "Why Leviathan, whatever is that greeting for? I was merely giving you what you seek." That didn't help the smile, it was like there was more to it then that. "Here you go, Leviathan-chan, it was nice to see you again." Handing off the folder, Leviathan seemed hesitant to grab it... ... ... After a moment, she took the folder quickly. If Juno was insulted he didn't show it. "You have no reason to fear, I'm only here to see you, it gets so lonely being on Anti-Virus duty you see."
Leviathan looked otherwise unconvinced of this, but didn't show it when Juno appeared to notice. "Ah, I... I see... Well, if you'll excuse me, I must be going Juno... I have to take this folder to Gene."
"Who's your friend, Leviathan? A new creation of Gene's?"
A small hidden frown followed this, "Nothing you need to be concerned about Juno. Just a visitor... Now if you'll excuse us, we're really busy."
Juno nodded at this, seeming to understand. "Ah, I see, well in that case, you be on your way..." Having said that, he slowly started to walk off. "Oh! And do be careful, Leviathan-chan! I've been picking up odd energy fluctuations of late, you'd best watch your back."
Leviathan was so busy walking away, dragging Starman along with her that she appeared not to hear him.
"Who the heck was that?" Came the still inquisitive Starman.
Only to be met with a small stare by Leviathan. "His... His name is Juno. He was one of Gene's first creations... My advice about him? He's dangerous, your better off staying WAY away from him."
--------------------------
Back in the Real World...
"How much longer must it take? We still have precious time to make."
"Just give it a little longer." Gene insisted. "Leviathan will be here momentarily."

"Wile we're waiting..." Nutcase said as he adjusted his glasses. "Why are you here anyway Shantotto? When we met in the park a few nights ago you said you had no intrest to lend us a hand. You said you hate Him, but you aren't really being specific as to why."
"Wait, you met her?" Clown Man asked, suprised.
"She appeared after I cleaned the clocks of some street punks while I was out tking a walk one night. She seems to know a few things we don't. Furthermore I may have an answer to Gantz's behavior."

Beatrice still scowled and crossed her arms. "You may be our informant, bitch, but that don't mean I gotta like you." She didn't like small talking creatures in video games. They just pissed her off.
"If she can give us clues to Gantz's behavior, that would be kinda nice. I'm still gonna kick her out the window the next time I get the chance to," Tree added. She crossed her arms too.
"...So violent," Snowy said. "It's like she's forgetting that half of her companions are technically small annoying creatures." Considering it was Tree, though, it was highly likely that was the case.
"Ms. Shantotto, why do you talk weird?" Ark asked.
-----------------
"Excuse me."
The being that appeared next had appeared out of nowhere inside Gene's computer. She didn't look anything like a Net-Navi. She wasn't, in fact. In fact, she looked perfectly and entirely human, aside from her red eyes. She clapped her hands as she stepped closer. In fact, she was a little disappointed the anti-virus hadn't picked her up yet. Well, it would probably beep on Gene's computer soon, anyways.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything important. You two are Net-Navis, right?" Infi-FF asked. She pointed to Leviathan and Starman. She didn't seem to notice Juno.

Shantotto grinned at Tree's threat.
"Before you allow your full of yourselfness from getting too high, Let me just say this right now, bat girl, 'I'd like to see you try'."
Waving off any glares, she turned to Nutcase.
"So you know, little loony man I had prior business other than. It concerns your friend Gaz, whom's location shall remain unsaid, So best get used to that, no need to feel any dread."
"You found Bro?" Came Gene's voice from behind his laptop.
"Indeed I have, though Gaz could be long gone at this point. Either way, I gave him a helping hand, sorry if I otherwise disappoint."
-------------------------
Leviathan and Starman stared at the mysterious program before them, looking quite confused... ... ... Slowly Starman turned to Leviathan giving her a look most perplexed. "One of Gene's?"
The female net-navi raised an eyebrow looking to Starman. "I don't recognize her... Not only that, but she doesn't even look like a navi... And she certainly doesn't look like any program I've ever seen."
"Oh my..."
Juno's voice was heard over the two's conversation. The two turned to the Anti-Virus navi, looking even more confused then ever. "Juno... Who is this?"
Juno shrugged at this, looking more pleasantly surprised, then confused. "She must be the source of the abnormal energy signatures I've been picking of as of late." His grin never wavered, making it unsure WHAT he thought of this new visitor. "She must've snuck in while my back was turned those few seconds earlier... My, how CLUMSY of me." This was said with an eerily nonchalant tone. "Not to worry though Leviathan-chan, I shall handle this invader immediately."
THUD, THUD, THUD, THUD, THUD.
With heavy footsteps he walked over to Infini FF, his smile staying in place. "I'm not sure who you are, but I'm afraid your presence here is not very welcome. So what shall it be? Shall you leave on your own?"
SHIIING...
A giant energy cannon, aking to most anti-virus systems appeared out of Juno's right gauntlet.
"Or will I have to escort you out?"

Groaning, Nutcase said, "His name is GANTZ, not GAZ. Still knowing he's not in any trouble is some help...However we'll need to find him since we got in deep with some creep called Nicholas Flamel. He's trying to bring about the end of the world, and Gantz could be tied up in all this weither he knows it or not."
