Standing in front of gaping entrance to the Ancient Ruins, Eddward could barely contain his excitement.
"...can't believe these ruins were JUST discovered they must be over a thousands years old I can't wait to explore its innards oh when I think of all the discoveries we'll make I could just EXPLODE with joy...!"
Eddy looked at his babbling friend with a weird look from under the explorer's cap he was wearing, identical to his other two buddies. He pulled on his kakhi shirt, whish was beginning to itch, as he turned to his other pal.
"Only Double D can see old buried ruins as something FUN, huh Ed?"
But Ed had missed the comment as he put their pack of supplies down from his back. "Just don't get on my shoes when you explode, Double D!"
"All we have to do is wait for the rest of our excavation crew and in we go!" Edd would normally be embarrassed to find himself bouncing up and down, but he didn't care at the moment. "I simply CANNOT WAIT!"
Eddy sighed. "Neither can I."

"So that's what you're calling me? A member of some 'excavation crew'?" Steven said to Edd. "Kind of impersonal if you ask me."

"Ah! You're here!" Edd cried happily. "Welcome!"
"'Bout time someone showed up," Eddy grumbled.
"Hiya, Steven!" Ed waved energetically.

Dimentio watched from a distance with much interest.
This could be useful, he thought, a scheming grin on his face.

Ed paused in his wave. He thought he felt someone watching, but he disrgarded it, smiling typically at his pals.
"Well, then... shall we embark inside?" Edd suggested.

Dimentio saw a nearby boulder. He waited for the group to step inside then using his powers he flipped the boulder through dimensions and reflipping it in front of the entrance sealing them inside.

"What the heck? We're sealed in!" Steven shouted as soon as the boulder landed. He tried to push it but to no avail. "And it isn't budging..."

The Eds also tried lifting it, but none of their still-developing powers could make the boulder budge.
"....well, GREAT." Eddy exclaimed. "How much WORSE can this get!?"
"DON'T JINX IT EDDY!" Ed cried, grabbing him by the lips in a panicked frenzy.
"E-everybody, please, don't panick!" Edd attempted to restore order. "Perhaps we'll find another exit elsewhere?"

"Hee hee! Good luck with that!" a voice spoke as if from nowhere ",I know of another exit, but I'm not going to tell you unless either you find it yourselves or you can find me!"

"What!?" Eddy looked around in a futile search for the source of the voice. "Show yourself, you stupid...!"
"Eddy, please! We'd best do as it says and get moving," Edd ventured. "...shall we?"

"If we hang around here, nothing's gonna happen, Eddy. Double D's right. Let's go," Steven said as he started into the dark cave.

Meanwhile in another room near the back Dimentio sat on a strange chest on a tall pedistal and waited. He quickly grew bored of this and decided to have a little fun with them. He saw a large, fairly round boulder near him. He chuckled to himself as an idea came to him.
Meanwhile back with the Eds and Steven, the corridor they were walking through was inclined a bit probably from the uneven ground that held the ruins. Suddenly from behind them a faint rumbling sound could be heard that started to grow louder.

"....you hear that?" Eddy spoke up, pauing in his step.
"I do... and I'm afraid to find out what it is..." Edd warily replied.
Ed, however, grinned widely, pointing backwards. "LOOK! IT'S LIKE INDIANA JONES!"
They all swiveled around, only to find a huge boulder quickly apporaching as the source of the rumbling.
".....wwuuuuaaaaAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!"

"This won't end well," Steven said, face paling. In the panic he had forgotten his own magic abilities. "And I doubt we can outrun it. What do we do?"

"Can't Outrun!? Whadda you talking about?!" Before Eddy could elaborate, he snatched up all three into his arms and dashed down the corridor at mach speed.
