Enjin took a step back, and it certainly was not from fear, as Black Magician attacked the illusionary Culebre. The dragon dodged out of the way of the attack, though there wasn't much need. It would have passed through easily, but then the deception would have been broken. Of course, a fake-out was no good without anything real behind it.
"Well, I think I'll be going. Finish them off for me," Enjin said. The Culebre screeched before letting out a large blast of blue flames into the alley. By the time that Atem and Yuugi realized they were an illusion, if they did, Enjin would be long gone.
Enjin would reappear back on top of the building he'd been on before, observing the two of them from above. He was crouched down on one knee, and only stayed there for a moment to observe Yuugi and Atem's reaction before walking off. He'd accomplished his objectives. He'd managed to get some info about the King of Bel, and he'd figured out what that faint third presence was.
You can wake up now, Anpu, Enjin stated.

Atem still didn't know what to do if the COMP was fully functional. None of the options seemed likely. There was the possibility Enjin had Seth's COMP and Abel didn't know about it. He had no idea how long ago the scuffle had occurred. But Seth was damn close to Abel, he doubted the information would have remained unknown for long. And for all the things he disliked about Abel, he had developed a level of awareness fitting of a military leader in the time away.
The other option involved Abel working with Enjin, or the latter working for the former. Atem had seen enough of Enjin's personality that both of them seemed very unlikely. The option of working for Abel bordered on impossible. He had taken a step back and yanked Yuugi down to the ground just as the icy flames erupted from the Culebre's mouth. They'd be tagged if they ran, the best they could hope for was that the demon's fire wouldn't reach.
Black Magician and Black Magician Girl both took a defensive stance as the two teenagers hit the ground. The flames shot at the two Ka... and did a grand total of nothing. Yuugi sat up first and looked around, rubbing the various places that had impacted from where Atem had yanked him to the ground. Atem stood up first and brushed himself off.
"...an illusion?" Atem looked at the demon and walked towards it, swiping his hand through it. He scowled as his hand passed through it, not caring about any action it had taken. He spoke without acknowleding its presence, "We played right into it... Did you know about that?"
Black Magician shook its head as it was addressed, "Something felt off about its energy, but it was no guarantee it couldn't still do harm."
Atem hung his head at the voice. It still sounded like Mahaad. Of course it did. The Ka had been born from his Priest sacrificing his life force to merge with his own Ka, which had then passed onto him to use. Atem looked around. Enjin didn't appear to be there, but if he could make illusions as convincing as the Culebre had been...
"Atem, are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Atem said, "We know that his COMP isn't functioning as a demon summoning tool, though. He wouldn't have faked us out if it was. More importantly, he has the Ring."
"...Bakura-kun."
"We have to find him," Atem said, "You said he might be with Malik? I can't put much hope in finding him if he is. Malik was never one to be found unless he wanted to."
----------
Anpu scowled as he was addressed again, "I see no reason to talk to you. What is stopping me from causing this Ring to reject you now that I'm away from the Pharaoh?"

Enjin sat back down on the opposite edge of the roof and pulled the Ring from his pocket, holding it up again so he could see it. As he did, he suddenly realized he never had placed his glasses back on and pulled those out with the Ring before taking them from the hand the Ring was being held in and putting them back on.
"Much better," Enjin said, though he didn't need them in this body. He still liked them, though.
Well, for one, I could aid you, Enjin said. I know a bit about your encounter with the King of Bel. I'm in a bit of a tight spot with him, so I'd like some information about him. In exchange, I could possibly help you out.

"Aid me, huh? Who says I need your help with anything?"
Anpu was clearly annoyed. He wasn't sure why he was even bothering to remain here. The Ring seemed to be reacting to Enjin. The Thief King wasn't even sure why he was suppressing the rejection at this point. Maybe he was interested.
"Still, I'm listening."

Well, I'm positive that this sorry state you're in isn't something you chose, Enjin said. I managed to hear a bit about a "Bakura". He's your host, correct?
Enjin held the Ring up a little higher.
I could possibly help you back to him. It shouldn't be too hard, Enjin stated. He was sure Anpu was interested now.

"Who says I can't get back to him myself?" Anpu smirked.
He actually didn't know if he could. But he was seeing how far he could push the person before him. At the worst, he could just let the Ring engulf him in flames. He realized now he was suppressing that from happening. Fact was the man could be in it deep if he tried to wear the damn thing. Anpu was also sure he could see him. He could make out the details of the man's face (and ears). It was probably a mistake to push him this far. It would be easier to get delivered to Ryou this way...

I'd say the fact that you've been sitting in that Pharaoh over there's pocket, Enjin stated. He looked wistfully up into the sky, as if he was thinking deeply about something.
I could just drop you back off with him. It's not like you're much use to me anyways, Enjin said. He wasn't stupid enough to actually try to put the Ring on, not when he didn't know what it exactly did, and he did like this body. Plus, there wasn't another body nearby for him to escape in to.

Anpu scoffed at Enjin's first comment. It bordered on a chuckle and there was a definite smirk. The man really didn't understand anything, did he? Well, it wasn't like he was sure either. But it seemed he had the upper hand. And then Enjin made his threat. Anpu frowned for a moment and Enjin would feel the Ring heating up in his hand. It was just enoug to cause mild pain without giving an actual burn.
"Don't forget who has the upper hand here," Anpu growled. The heat faded, far slower than it had come, "Still, it would be easier to have you drop it off. Not sure how you intend to find him, but..."
Anpu crossed his arms. He was looking Enjin in the eyes. He seemed to be thinking for several moments before he let out a sigh and shrugged.
"I can't say I know all that much about him. He's a demon and he attacked me and my host once. Gave him a nice little set of cuts like mine. Probably found it funny. It'll probably scar the same way too."

Enjin didn't visibly react as the Ring began to heat up in his hand. It was warm enough to cause him pain, but not enough to burn him. Clever.
He stayed quiet as Anpu spoke. So all Anpu knew about Abel was that he was a demon who had attacked them. Given his host a scar similar to Anpu's too, just to be funny. It definitely sounded like Abel was a different kind of demon from the ones Enjin knew, based on the evidence.
I see, Enjin said. He stood up. It's going to be a bit before we can go find your host. I used up a lot of energy with those Satelites before, and if I'm going to do the kind of long-range mind-reading I'll need to in order to find him, I'm going to need to replenish that energy.
Which meant finding some sort of place to eat at. Well, not like those weren't abundant in a big city like this.

Anpu said nothing over Enjin's words. But he did here them, and found himself being amused. So that's how he was communicating with him. Some sort of mind-reading skill. Based on the ears, the occassional sparks, and things overall, Anpu either figured the man with the Ring was a demon or at the very least related to one. After all, he'd worked with a demon rather closely before himself.
"I'd be able to find him in a matter of hours, but I suppose we each have our strengths," Anpu jabbed, "If you happen to run into him, he's a Japanese teenager somewhat tall for his sixteen years, has long matted white hair, and is rather annoyingly meek and polite. Most people call him as Bakura, his surname. I suspect you'll notice the stitching first. One long cut under his right eye and two evenly spaced about halfway down. Try not to contact me again unless its terribly important."
Anpu turned away in a similar manner to before. He was still there and would be easy enough to reach if Enjin tried it. He was sure Enjin could see him, but had chosen not to use himself as comparison just so Enjin wouldn't know he was aware of that fact. In truth, he knew it was possible Enjin didn't realize Anpu could see him. Unlikely considering the man, but Anpu wasn't one to lay his cards on the table so easily.
(OOC: Thread Jump? The mall is sounds....... did I just see what you did thar? XD If we do unite the threads, we'll have to move forward in the one with Minato's group more first. XD)

Enjin smirked as Anpu turned away from him once again, and placed the Ring inside his pocket before jumping off of the edge of the building, landing nimbly on the ground. He had a cafe to find... and he was starving for some cheesecake. It was his favorite... well, Gin's favorite. The man won the battles he could, it seemed.

A long while after their encounter with Enjin, Yuugi's COMP would beep with its standard "new message" sound.
