Whatever sympathy Souji had for Izanami had dropped when she said that last sentence. He looked confused, and then he went back to glaring at Izanami.
"Wait a minute... you would have taken me anyways even if I hadn't given my permission?!" Souji growled. "Why the hell did you even bother asking me, then?"
He was still trying to stay calm. Trying. He seemed to be doing rather badly at that lately.

Izanami realized how she had said what she had said as Souji flipped out on her again. She opened her mouth to give her exact reasoning, but then closed it. No, her exact reasoning would just piss him off more. There was a chance Izanagi knew, she'd just let her brother explain it. Souji was angry again, any ground she'd gained was lost with her "skill" in tact. She shook her head.
"Because I'm not incapable of being polite!" She said after a few moments of looking trapped.
The reason she had asked was more than a bit manipulative. Had Souji said no, she would have taken him anyways... but only him. It was a slight strain to take people across dimensions, the mortal form wasn't generally made for that. Damned if she knew how the Island worked in that regard. She wouldn't have rescued Souji's friends if he'd said no, just him... so it worked to his advantage he'd said yes.
Even she had realized by this point she was bitter. Rather horridly so, at that. Before Izanagi had betrayed her (and she was not unaware of his little "purification" ritual) she'd been nicer. Still sharp of tongue and entirely "improper" for a woman, but she'd had her nice side. Now it hardly ever showed, she was always on the defensive...

Souji had finally decided he was done with this. He didn't know why Izanami was attracted to him. He didn't even think he wanted to know. None of this changed the fact that Izanami had been planning on pulling him off to another dimension, with or without his permission, after Nyx turned everyone on the Island and the dimensions connected to it into drooling Apathy Syndrome afflicted zombies. He had thought that there was something wrong with Izanami before. Now he was sure of that.
Izanagi was glaring at Izanami. Really, he hadn't stopped since he had managed to successfully guess she was in love with Souji, the same man she'd considered nothing but a shell only a few days previously. Izanagi could tell Izanami was still bitter over... everything. She'd been nicer about things before. Not so much now.
Souji looked back at Izanami before starting to walk past her.
"Forget it. Just forget it. I'm going," Souji said. He just wanted to get away from Izanami. He didn't need to deal with a creepy stalker bitch like her. He had enough problems to deal with already.

Izanagi was still glaring at her. She could more then tell. After all, despite being completely under her control, "Mana" wasn't the only one with a "spirit" presence. She stepped to the side as Souji told her he was leaving. It wasn't like she'd ever had any practice with this kind of thing. Her scowl softened into a frown without traces of anger.
"I'm sorry," she muttered. She wasn't used to apologizing, either. She seemed annoyed with... herself?

Souji didn't stop walking as Izanami said she was sorry, but his expression became a tad bit pained. He shook his head and continued on. He just wanted to forget he'd had this encounter with Izanami. Just another bad memory of her to add to the pile.
